How to Use a Quooker Tap
Quooker taps are designed to be user-friendly and provide instant boiling, hot, and cold water from a single tap. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use a Quooker tap:
1. Dispensing Boiling Water:
Activate Safety Mechanism: To dispense boiling water, press and turn the childproof handle. The exact method can vary slightly depending on the model, but typically, you need to push the handle down and then turn it.
Controlled Flow: Boiling water will flow out in a controlled stream. The spout is designed to prevent splashing and the water is aerated to reduce the risk of burns.
2. Dispensing Hot Water:
Standard Operation: For hot water (non-boiling), simply turn the tap handle like you would with a regular hot water tap. This will activate the hot water flow from your main supply or boiler.
Adjust Temperature: You can adjust the temperature by mixing with cold water, usually by turning the handle to a certain position or using a separate control.
3. Dispensing Cold Water:
Cold Water Flow: Turn the tap handle in the opposite direction to dispense cold water. This operates just like a regular cold water tap.
4. Using the Filtered Water Feature (If Applicable):
Activate Filter: Some Quooker taps have a filtered water feature. To use this, you may need to press a specific button or follow a slightly different handle operation, depending on the model.
Dispense Filtered Water: Once activated, filtered water will flow from the tap, providing you with purified drinking water.
