I’m only 7 weeks in with microlocs. And I’ve always said that I’ll keep them shoulder length when they get there but after listening to Yanni, “my ends are my beginning” I love that. When I reach a year I’ll be in your chair you can bless my crown any day. Peace and Blessings Family 💕

I took your advice and started to used the 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of the rose water and Vit.E oil and in this winter season, I can definitely feel the difference in the movement of my locs. I'm on 8 months in on my journey and they do feel better. The reg water was making them stiffer and the new combination is keeping them light and smelling good. Continue spreading that knowledge Sis!

@@shewhoisaudacious half and half, if u have a 12oz bottle of rose water and a 6oz bottle of Vitamin E then u should put 6oz of Rose water and 3oz of Vitamin E oil in a spray bottle and use it on ur locs. Simple as that

I am wearing braids atm and although I don't plan to have locs, the information you give is invaluable for anyone growing hair. It has aided me in growing my loose hair long. All I use is castor oil and people think it's a joke, but it doesn't take much to get hair to grow. Keep up the amazing work!

I did shape up on my head and really messed up my front row. I'm currently using Jamaican black castor oil to hopefully fix that problem. Now I didn't know that tap water messes up my hair too. I'm seriously going to throw away all those shampoos, conditioners, leave in conditioner sprays and other crap I put in my hair and just go straight organic with the oils you mentioned in your other videos.
@YannietheLocologist
@YannietheLocologist 8 лет назад
good for you. keep it simple. you don't need a bunch of oils either. just use castor oil 1-2 a week on your scalp at night and you'll be A ok

Hi Yannie. You asked Dante if he was Dominican, and then said, yeah, he’s Dominican. He has soft hair. Almost like saying that the reason he has soft hair is because he’s Dominican. Just wanted to let you know that many Dominicans have very kinky hair and are black. Same holds true for Puerto Ricans and Cubans.

Thank you very much for all you do, it is really appreciated.

This lady makes so much sense it’s really a logical conclusion if you put abcd in your hair locked or not,and then over time you will have a build up of abcd.But if u put a in your hair and keep it clean then it’s impossible for you to have any build up for u didn’t put anything in it to build anything up.If u use only one product all the time and have patients it will not have build up.What u could do is try a natural ingredient like aloe, or rose water , vitamin e. Try one be consistent for 6 months then switch. Don’t be a fool and not wash your hair , it’s an extension of u and will stink if not washed just like your body will stink if not washed.

@Yannie ...Im starting off my dreadlock journey.I am malato and have between a 4a & 4b hair type with soft texture.I have been growing my hair for 3 months or so.I started with 360 waves.I stopped brushing and combing for the entire time.I was washing conditioning hydrating my hair daily if not every other day.this past Friday I decided to try to get my hair to begin to "bud".Im going to go the Freedom Lock/Free form route.I really want to commit to the Organic Free Form locks. Enough digression tho...I put tree oil, coconut oil, and vitamin E in my hair friday night and slept with a shower cap on my head.all saturday I wore nothing on my head.Saturday night I rinsed my hair with acv/baking soda/lemon and water.let air dry then slept with satin bonnet on head.Yesterday didint wear anything on my head.@ night i sprayed with a little sea salt and water.let soak in hair for 20 minutes.I then put a panty hose on my head . I rinsed the salt out with lemon juice .I then let that soak for 5 minutes and rinsed with hot water.Towel dried afterward.then let hair air dry.before bed put on my satin bonnet.I work at a Iron foundry that used the no bake method,so sand is every where.I wore a satin head stocking on my head at work all day.When I got home I sprayed my hair with a light coat of my sea salt mixture I made and used previously.let soak 20 minutes.put stocking on hair.rinsed with lemon juice.then clean water.letting air dry.So after that all said Lol, I was wanting your knowledgeable input on what Im doing correct and incorrect?What should I be doing to get my hair to "bud" the natural way? Your time and knowledge and advised is greatly appreciated

Thank you so much for this video! I noticed recently that a few of my locs are starting to thin out since I haven't retwisted my hair since December (I have no urge to do anything to it). I'm realizing now that it may most likely be because all of my new growth is all over the place and not growing with my locs. I was here thinking I'll end up with a bunch of "double headed dragons" or bald spots and was feeling a way about it

Miss Yannie! I am so glad I found your page. I started my journey sept 15th of this year. I admit I started with Jamaican mango and lime creme but after watching this video I will not use it anymore. I don't believe I have build up but I have seen flaking in my scalp this time around. I know it's going to be a bitch to get out, do you have any tips for me? I also plan to make this my last wash for a few months and only use coconut oil for my retwisting. I was thinking of mixing a bit of castor oil with it. can I have your thoughts on that also? Good idea or bad idea? Thank you in advance. I really hope to hear from you.

Love your tutorials, Yannie. I'm going into 7 years with my locs. They are about waist-length at this point. I am wondering if you will be doing any tutorials for long-length locs? I am running out of styles to do. My signature look is a bun of some sort. Also, I have noticed that as my locs have gotten longer, it is really hard to curl them. I would never use heat on them, only rollers or twists, or bantu knot curls. Is there something that I could do to ensure a better curl? Many thanks to you.

Thank you for that truth about people cutting their locs cutting a part of their history. This was the significance of Samson and Delilah in the Bible. He had never in his life cut his hair, the source of his supernatural strength. When he allowed his poor choice of a mate to steal his secret, she cut his hair (his history from birth), which allowed him to be captured, blinded, enslaved and ultimately, killed.
