How Does A Native American Casino Compare To Vegas? | Pala Casino Spa & Resort

There are actually several casinos. Pauma Casino is about 10 minutes down the road from Pala, and then 10 more minutes from that casino, is Harrah’s Rincon, and then 5 more minutes from Harrah’s, is Valley View Casino. You should do a vlog comparing all the casinos. Pala is still the cleanest and best rooms. Pauma is where many of the locals go. Much smaller and no hotel. Harrah’s, older casino, and they need to sink some money into their hotel. The rooms look tired and they charge for everything like WiFi (It’s free at Pala and Valley View) Even the food at Harrah’s doesn’t rock-my-boat. Valley View is a very nice casino with a great assortments of machines and has GREAT restaurants and an all you can eat lobster buffet. more like the NEW type buffets since COVID where they bring the food to you. Their rooms are also on par with Pala - very nice, comfortable, and spacious. Hope you do another trip to these casinos.

The room is HUGE!! I really appreciate that you always put the prices up. It really makes a great video experience.

The thing I like the best about these Indian casinos is the bands or acts they get to play at their venues! I was fortunate enough to see Eddie Money before he passed away as well as many other acts that are passed their prime but still can get you moving!

Pala is one of our most favorite local casino resort and hotel! Love you vlog and you both! We are headed to Vegas next weekend staying at the Mirage and saw that you guys were just there! Another great video. Took my parents to pala when I was 32 years old and security chased me thinking I was underage to enter!!! Many of your videos brings back so many memories!!! The room does look nice but being in las vegas seems more fun!!! We go to vegas all the time!!!! Cant wait to see your next video!!!!!

Nothing will ever be Vegas. I live about 300 miles away from Cherokee North Carolina where there is an Indian casino. I believe it is part of the Harrah's group. My husband bought me a weekend there for my birthday several years ago. First off, I had to drive almost 3 hours to get there. It is the only casino in the area, very expensive, surrounded by abject poverty. What used to be a nice tourist place with shopping and restaurants is now gone, taken over by building the casino. Once you are in the casino, you are trapped. No alternatives, no walking around outside. The table minimums are too high and the dealers were tentative, not very friendly. The amount of $$$ that I spent going there for that weekend, I could have literally gone to Vegas ( including airfare)and enjoyed myself a lot more. Perhaps if it was someplace I could drive to easily for a day trip, it might be okay but Cherokee is definitely not worth it for me. Put me on a plane. I'm going back to Vegas in October for my birthday. Nothing else is Vegas. ✈✈✈✈✈✈ Wait to cross 4th Street! 🚦🚧🚦🚧🚦🚧🚦🚧🚦🚧🚦🚧🚦

Right down the road from my house. San Diego has nice casinos. Pechanga in Temecula is a mega resort but they are cheap on the comps.

Love Pala as well as Pechanga. We used to go when they didn't have a age limit for the pool. Too bad...miss it.

I stayed there some years back with my ex who was from SD area. I work in Native American finance and our conferences are typically hosted by Tribes at their hotels. Pala is definitely one of the best hotel casinos Ive been to. The only other that immediately comes to mind is Choctaw Casino in Durant Oklahoma. The hotel is in southern Oklahoma. But the casino’s core customers come from Dallas-Ft Worth.

I ❤PALA....have gone to several concerts at the outdoor theater...huge rooms considering other SoCal resorts...always enjoy the adults only atmosphere & have won big $$$...Also like that they didn't install all the C19 crap at the gaming tables because I luv my blackjack & handling my own cards....FABULOUS staycation....you guys should do a staycation shootout between HRincon,Pechanga, Aqua in PS & Pala

Good to know I've always gone to Pechanga my husband and I a couple times a year but trying to maybe find something different now with Covid... also like you say it's a lot easier closer than going to Las Vegas everything is contained in one spot👍..love from Venice Ca.✌😎❤

Oh my god, my wife and I literally went to pala this past Saturday! Lol. And it’s been at least twice this year when we left Vegas and you two showed up that same day! One day we’ll be bumping into you two for sure. By the way, we stayed overnight at Harrahs Friday night, checked out pala Saturday morning then made it to pachenga for the rest of the day. Casino wise penchanga wins hands down followed by pala. Keep up the awesome and fun videos! We love you guys!

Looks like the native/American casinos are doing better than Vegas casinos!!. Looks like you can eat inside,I don't understand why restaurants are closed for indoor dining. All you have to do is wear your mask to your table and enjoy. The COVID-19 restrictions are getting out of hand. And look at that,they even have live music!!! Come on Vegas, you can do so much better. Thank you guys for sharing ❣️

Absolutely not missing Vegas at all with this resort... In fact, it's even preferable over some places in Vegas. While most places are opened here, casinos will remain closed until everything settles down.

Love ❤️your videos on Vegas. I’ve found them helpful in making intenerary decisions. Pala has been my staycation destination for the past 20 years for its conservative ambience. It’s quite peaceful...and the food is awesome, 😋 tho’ limited now due to COVID19. Rooms are clean and quite comfortable. The slot payout is up and down, but I’ve done Ok. 💵 throughout the years. Is unfortunate that kids are even allowed in the casino since they aren’t accommodated with a kids center. Definitely not a Circus Circus. 🤣🤣 . Of the three………Pechanga Harrahs and Pala, I would vote for Pala. The staff and management are supremely nice and the gaming, food, and accommodations are excellent.

you guys should check out pechanga which is about 10 min north of pala..casino floor is about 5 or 6 times pala casino (biggest gaming floor in California),two hotel towers 1 was just built a couple of years ago, really nice golf course (journey at pechanga), really nice pool (currently closed due to the pandemic), and the entire casino is smoke free

My favorite in San Diego is Barona. Besides loose slots, I enjoy their massive food court and buffet (pre-Covid). My parents enjoy San Manuel.

I am a HUGE fan of Pala. Since Covid their restaurants have a limited menu but still good assortment and yummy. The staff are SO nice. I love the place and a frequent, though I hate to admit, visitor.

Omg. I love PALA... used to play their poker tournaments on Sundays. Haven't been there since they remodeled.

PALA! 😁 My favorite local, only 30 mins from me. The rooms were recently renovated, less than a year. The plastic plates, cups and utensils are new since Covid. They used to have real dishes and utensils. It is the best casino in this area for hotel comps. Harrah's Rincon and a small casino called Pauma is up the road. Then up from Harrah's is Valley View Casino and hotel. VV used to be great with their comps, but hotel comps are harder to come by. This is why I switched from VV to Pala after 19 years of visiting. One day when we're back to more normal (🙏🙏) you have to try their buffet. Soooo good. They have a good Mexican station and a Mongolian station where they make your food in front of you with all fresh ingredients. Awww...I miss my bi-weekly "staycations!" 🙁 Btw...unless they recently changed, kids were there everytime I visited last year. Maybe they no longer allow them since Covid. 🤔

Who knew there are roughly 18 Native American tribes in San Diego county..and even more in California. Wow...can't believe how quiet the sport's bar deck is...something Vegas can learn. Cool video, last time I stayed there was back in 2006/07. My ex and I stayed there. I think I was able to get a free room or half off, because of my slot play back then. I lived in Corona at the time, so I would gamble there once in a while. It was about hour drive to get to. So it was the alternative to Vegas for me and my parents back then. Glad to see it looks the same. Lol, now I live in Vegas.

Pala had one of the best lobster buffets. Sad to see it go. Regardless of all the Indian casinos it's one if not my favorite. Always clean great rooms

Great review, our daughter went to UC Riverside and we would visit her from Northern California. When we are down there we would Casino hop 2 Pechanga Pala and Harrah's Rincon. Panchanga was probably one of the best casinos we've ever been to outside of Vegas. That was around 2002-2003 I believe Paula was just a little hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere without a hotel. They must have done really well to be able to build out the area.

I am only into the first minute of the video and I don't have to see inside to know that I would love it. For one it has no resort fee and it's in beautiful California. Sometimes the area around the hotels in Vegas just get too sketchy for us.

That bathroom looked nice and the shower looked big enough to have a dance party in lol.

I have driven by Pala, but I have never been. I really want to go there so bad. I heard they had a great buffet. That room is amazing. I have free rooms at Pechanga but never have stayed there. The rooms at Pala are nicer than T.I , Flamingo, Tropicana, Luxor ect, it was a big room. Great job love this video. My local casino is Chumash you guys should come visit.

Their high end restaurant, the Oak Room is closed. We’ve been to Pala many times and it is our favorite to stay and play. We’ve went wine tasting first and then have stayed over. They also have a spa and fitness center that is currently closed.

Very nice resort. Never heard of it and it reminds us of Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun on the East Coast. They two are Indian Resorts as well. Similar set up with nothing around. Thank you
