A developer is planning a skyscraper at 600 Guadalupe St. that would soar 850 feet high which, if built, would make it Austin's tallest building. See how the new tower stacks up against other buildings in downtown Austin.
" I hope that Austin residents realizes how fortunate It is to be the recipient of such awesome skyline development. I live in a small Midwestern city, halfway between Chicago and St. Louis, that would simply be ecstatic to have just one of Downtown Austin's gleaming new towers. My advise to Austin residents is never to take for granted all of the exciting development completed and upcoming. The current global pandemic is another stark reminder of how quickly and easily unexpected tragedy can affect even booming regions such as Austin. "
I hope they build it austin needs a real tall building like Dallas and Houston nothing that tall has been built in texas in a long time back in early eighties three tall buildings built Houston in 1985 Dallas got tall building i like to see 1500 feet building built somewhere in texas everything bigger in texas.
Hasn’t happened yet and doesn’t look like it. California still has 3 more towers that are over 1,000 feet. And they are all taller than anything in Houston or Dallas.
