I think the new Atlas head reminds me of the Robot on the remake of Lost in Space. Maybe they will include some kind of lighting on the open face if and when it speaks or reacts to humans. Color of the ring around the face could also help to understand what it is currently processing and it's intentions.

Full automation is just around the corner. Many typical warehouse jobs WILL be lost, but with more automation comes more maintenance. As someone working in the field, to anyone reading this PLEASE upskill and learn some basic mechanical/electrical skills, that's all you need to get started in maintenance. It's very rewarding, you will get to work on this type of new tech being brought into warehouses and will have lots of job security, be diligent everyone.

@darksunrise957
@darksunrise957 26 дней назад
This is the most common argument, one which I've used myself in the past, but the main flaw is HOW MANY jobs it will replace. If you have one robot replace 2-4 humans (since it can run all 3 shifts with no break or weekends), but only need 1 technician to service, say, 50 of them, you're removing 100 to 400 factory workers, and hiring one robot technician. It just doesn't balance out.

I wouldnt say far however due to it being all electric it will be quieter and last for longer due to not needing to power pumps constantly. regardless they will maybe make it so the thing can last 10-15 mins then have a 1 minute battery change. It would actually be more work then a human in those 10-15 mins so thats a plus. and lets say you cycle them.

While this new atlas seems like an amazing improvement so far, the fact that it has the same name is confusing.
