Very nice video to understand the concept of exchange hybrid mail flow, EOP and Exchange DNS records. Thanks & Keep posting such awesome technical stuffs.
Hi, great video thanks. I have a question: we have one on-premises exchange server 2019, and we installed the the Hybrid configuration Wizard on a separate member server. I am confused which server to choose as Receive and Connectors. Mailboxes are only on the EX2019 Server but not on the member server. Can you please help me? Thank you so much
in a centralized mail flow, if a EXO user wants to send email to an external user, will the email passes through EOP and then to external user or it will first passes thru EOP > Onprem and then EOP and external user?
I didn't get your question exactly.. You mean when you setup mailflow in Hybrid, you already have EOP with your Office365 Subscription, hence it is not required to buy one more time..
@@windowstechprothinkbeyondt5407 we have several accounts already migrated to cloud but our mx still points to the on-premise. if we change/points our mx to the cloud, do we need to buy EOP for the on-premise accounts? Thank you, much appreciated
@@christianvito4654 Not required. EOP is not user based. Ideally it is tenant based.. EOP Can be used for On-Premises Mailboxes as well. You can point your MX to EOP and then from EOP, You can create connector to On-premises .. So that once mail has been scanned by EOP, it will get delivered to On-premises User Mailboxes..
