OH!! I also wanted to say - for any newer creators or people who want to become ASMR creators - please remember that I have been doing this full time for 5 whole years!!! I started VERY very very very differently and have grown and learned so much, garnering new equipment and skills and props and relationships with editors, etc….! Take your time, enjoy your process, and just because this is how *I* went about making this particular video, it definitely doesn’t mean this is the *only* way to do it!!! I hope that you can pick up nifty tips and tricks from this behind the scenes that will be helpful to your own unique creative process!!! :’) you got this!!!!
Omg the script writing is NOTHING like it imagined. I thought it would just be some loose notes and a structure. I feel like an absolute charlatan, I just make everything up as I go along. What an incredible listen though (I'm only half way through) and it's so interesting seeing all the facets that make up your work. No wonder you've been the queen all this time, your dedication and work ethic is insaneeeee AND THEY SAY ASMR IS EASY
Gibi was my first ASMR follow. Articulate was my second. And favorite. Gibi is my next fave. I follow about a dozen channels but mostly watch Articulate and Gibi
This was so interesting to watch, the way this video was edited is brillant and funny. And I loved seeing Hendril ! Thank you for sharing your experience 💛
I know she has talked about her sesame allergy many times before, and also explained her building up tolerance, but for her to say micro-dosing sesame in this video with zero explanation is SO FUNNY to me
It's pretty cool to see how another RU-vidr goes about making their videos, and it's clear that your process involves a lot of thorough work and professionalism. Great video!
I love your content Ann! You and Gibi are my absolute faves! Gibi's videos are definitely more chill out videos for me but your videos are the absolute best for tingles!! 💖💖
I adore behind the scenes videos, it's so cool to see everyone's different styles and the work that has gone into both the video and the video of the video being made is phenomenal.
How amazing to watch behind the scenes of an ASMR creator, outside Brazil. Here in my country the accessibility of equipment is very complicated because everything is very expensive! Little by little I'm investing in the channel, I'm currently the biggest ASMR creator in Brazil, with 2 million subscribers, I love creating each video of mine, this video was an inspiration for many, for sure!
The only drawback is ASMR artists with brown eyes. I don't like brown eyes. If you both wore blue shaded or tinted contact lenses I'd bet your subscriber base would double.
Holy fuck, you put a lot more effort into the videos than I thought anyone did. Wow. Suppose that's why the videos have such quality. That and your talent, of course. Actually insane. This is very professional! Good for you, Gibi, this is impressive!
This is why you have millions of subscribers, let alone the fact that you’re an expert in the “field of ASMR!” You put a lot of effort in your videos Gibi!! 🌺🥰💖
1:29:21 Vest's entire editing segment was for sure the highlight of the video too me, but this part got me cracking up. "I don't think THAT'S part of the script..." LMAO
When people say being a RU-vidr is an easy job I will show them this video. When you watch videos the viewer really has no idea how much work goes into into
Well if you think about it, she said she post-poned it several times so in reality she took less time than it seems! I believe typically she would plan and film the same month 🤷♀️
At first I was like “ok i’ll just watch a few minutes of this” and then I ended up watching it all! This was super interesting and well made! You sure do put a lot of work in this as does your editors! Well done guys!!
At this point I am convinced nobody works harder than Gibi and her team! Not only were we given the BEE MOVIE, now we have a 2HR behind the scenes DOCUMENTARY for Scissorhands. Holy cow. They might just be unstoppable.
My husband and I just watched this whole thing start to finish. I am getting into asmr and he is a videographer/editor so we were both fascinated the whole way through. Appreciate all the work you guys put into making this video for us!!!
@@GibiASMR I just slap up all copyrighted crap that I figure people might want to see. I've never taken a red cent for anything and used to upload to the binary newsgroups the same, what people might need or want. RU-vid knocked out my comments section because I wouldn't censor any comments. Good luck going forward in time it's nice to see people making money and not having to rely on the government. I live in Canada and just can't take these immigrants coming here thus my stigma for brown eyes as all of them are of the Pakistani or Punjab race. Nose rings through the middle of the nose are also something Punjabi women wear.
@@theninjascientist689 Huh? I'm a good Samaritan I help out mankind by slapping up copywriter videos on youtube. Like I said before I used to put everything on the binary newsgroups and all these startups like youtube are party poopers and they try to take down my videos. I've got about 200 terabytes of old crap but if I put them up they take them down. About brown eyes I fund all the third world crud that comes to Canada through my income tax I pay every year.
@@theninjascientist689 I try to put up a whole bunch of crap and youtube takes it down or blocks it. Like the stuff wasn't already on tv? How can it be copyright if it was already on television? Now youtube permanently busted my comments section because I I'm subscribed to about 1,400 youtrube channels. wouldn't and won't censor any comments.
24:34 "I think typically when I take time to get into as much detail as possible, all the little things add up to making it worthwhile." And that's exactly why your videos are so good.
Genuinely the sound editing portion was so interesting. It included such an attention to detail, like about the knuckles cracking I didn’t even notice while watching and had to rewind to hear it. So fascinating how much work goes into just the audio, mad respect to the editors
Imagine like a Netflix series of a bunch of different ASMRtists doing this style of BTS start to finish video... Gibi's episode as a 2 hour THEATRICAL RELEASE full with the crazy amount of work, people and intricacies involved... and then Angelica (god bless her) with a 2 minute start to finish episode of something like Sleep Paralysis Demon Visits You with no post editing, straight upload directly from her iPhone hahah
The Gibi Masterclass. *writes down everything* Seriously though this information is not just entertaining, it’s invaluable to other creators on their own journey. Thanks!
I basically dedicated my evening to watching this video and was not disappointed! So much work goes into your videos that we don't realize! I usually just click on one of my favorite videos and go to bed, but I will for sure appreciate them much more now.
Asmr Planet has (3 hours ago) uploaded an “Edward Tinglehands” video!! It’s so cool to see ASMRtists minds blend during different times of the year!! I love seeing different interpretations of the same/similar topics!! ESPECIALLY in ASMR format!
I'm a teacher and when the pandemic started I had to start making videos for the kids and their classes, your videos were an awesome source of inspiration and also really helpful to have as a standard of what I wanted to show. There was a point where I was so overwhelmed and frustrated for the amount of preparation, time and energy that it took, every little mistake made me incredibly angry and annoyed with myself, the experience showed me that it's not an easy job and I admire you and all youtubers incredibly. This video is just more proof of that.
Literally love watching this! Behind the scenes are always fun to watch for different types of content! As an editor I respect these editors a lot! Thank you Gibi for such a informative video!
When you were talking to the camera during the filming process It really felt like I was there sitting irl. 😂 esp when you said “stop this is so embarrassing that you’re watching me do this I hate it” i went “NOO dont be embarrassed ure good”
Gibi, I feel bad for falling asleep within a couple of minutes when you put so much passion and effort into your videos. I loved this behind the scenes, in all details! Maybe you can do this again! :)))
I struggle to sit through movies lately but this held my attention start to finish, I could easily watch one of these BTS videos for every role play 😆 I laughed, I cried; okay I didn’t cry but I felt stressed a bit because HOLY HARD WORK! Thanks for putting your skillz to work for us Gibi & team!
This video made me give even more respect to you. I didn’t know you did all this research, scripting, and shopping for videos. If I were you I’d take 2 months to make a video with this process, but yet you sometimes post 2 times a week!?!
Hey Gibi, since it’s almost Halloween would you ever consider doing another manga video but with a horror manga? Maybe something by Junji Ito? Would love that so much! Keep up the good work!
This was incredibly interesting. Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos Gibi, it really shows in the end product♥ Edit: DAMN Denis is cute😳
i'm currently writing a book about a girl who makes asmr videos and i was kind of struggling with the behind the scenes stuff because, well, i don't make asmr videos haha this video is perfect!!
this is so exciting, this is a great way for beginner asmrtists like myself to get a better idea on how to be more organized and to get a look at all the thought and time that goes into a video!! thank you so much 🤍😌
2 hours well worth watching. Even after watching your videos for 4 years and hearing you talk so much about the behind-the-scenes of videos on stream or whatever, I still would never have imagined this much going on. This was really the perfect video to do it on too, it had a bit of everything going on. Makes me appreciate the work that everyone involved puts in so much more.
- 51:34 "I'm not Winona Ryder" - *Me thinking she shares many facial features with her * uh... You could be ☝🏻👀 I mean now you kinda have to make a sequel with Kim's character. Heck, maybe even Edward later 😂
55:16 Absolutely get that part! I always forget to take a thumbnail series of pictures and just leave the studio. Edit the video the other day then walk back to the studio which is about 15-20 minutes away, do the makeup and hair as the previous day, and just take a thumbnail 😃 Honestly my least favorite part of video-making. Btw. I remember back when I was shooting at home I felt really embarrassed taking my thumbnails when my boyfriend was in the same room. We literally have a living room, bedroom, and office as one whole room. It was so weird to be possing to the camera for a few minutes straight trying to hit the angle :D
Dennis is so sweet. He did absolutely amazing and he should be very proud of himself. Now to actually go to sleep as it’s nearly 7am and I gotta be awake in a few hours. Hope everyone enjoyed the video and gets better sleep than me 💕
I genuinely got so confused when you said this starting in may but now that I have an understanding of how long it takes to make these videos it’s a lot more understandable. Had no idea I’d enjoy a video like this so much
Geez there is so much stuff that went into making this video but it's definitely worth it cause ended up being amazing! Props to the editor 10/10 If you don't mind me asking on average how much do you spend on cosplays for these videos? They are so wicked looking.
OMG, thank you for uploading this! I could watch hours of behind the scenes footage for every video you're filming! This is super interesting and helpful.🤩 I have already gotten a taste of how much work it can be to film a semi-decent video...but how much effort you're putting in while still being able to post several times a week is mind-blowing to me 🥰
43:46 "The mixer is upstairs because I've spilled wine on my other one." I remember that from one of your last Twitch streams 😆, just before the best live ASMR section ever 😂.
I have had sooooo much trouble making ASMR that this video was helpful in general, but I have to say the audio editing portion was possibly one of the most interesting parts to watch. I always wondered how the heck to get rid of errant sounds, and while I am sure I will still struggle with it a lot, at least I now have a better idea of what to do!
This was absolutely incredible. I loved watching the intense writing/script scanning process and the multiple purchase mishaps. Asmr weekly’s little section was so funnily edited and had such a light feel. Even the more educational aspects like changing audio pitch and colour grading was so relaxing and easy to watch. I’m sad it’s over but wow +10 hours of footage alone is insane! I would love to see maybe smaller videos focused on particular parts of the process (considering how intensive this project was for you and your team). I think it would be really fun to do a Prepare with Gibi or something, following just some of your processes for a video. Perhaps even a Editing [X Video] would be awesome for educational relaxation. Anyway I loved this project! Thank you for putting your hard work into this and bringing all your editors in to showcase their work too. It was fascinating and tingly!
this video has some sort of motivating and productive feel to it because I ended up working on my day of the dead altar rather than procrastinating like I've been doing 🥲 i loved watching the process - it really shows how hardworking you are to make the videos as authentic and thought out as they are!
This was such an entertaining Gibi documentary! I learned so much and I'm sure many creators and watchers did too🙏 Thank you for sharing your process and for all of your amazing content!
Watched the whole dang video (feature length film, really). Really interesting insights and behind the scenes. Too much fun. Thanks for being so real with your audience. Most people wouldn't want all their fans seeing behind the curtain this much, but it's really the coolest stuff. Also shows everyone how MUCH freaking work you put into your stuff! Thanks again!
This, especially the video/audio editing part was incredibly interesting and helpful. I've wondered about all this stuff for years and this was so informative. Thanks so much for showing us how all this is done. I loved the subtle sound effect when stuff was fast forwarding too.
This brought me back to my days of doing short little films in film school. Sooooo much work. Much respect for putting this kind of effort into your videos on a regular basis.
Amazing insight on the whole process. It was really cool to see the detailed script writing and planning as I'm always curious as to how other creators get to "showtime." I have a "list" with a half assed intro scratched out via whichever colored pencil is on my desk at the moment. Then I record like 10 takes of "Hi everybody I'm Brad." Need to step it up lol. Anyway keep killin it!
It was so nice to see how much work you do! And also your editors!! They are wizards. Also WOW. Dennis is out here hoping it wasn't boring to watch and I didn't even realise it was a 2 hour long video!
THIS WAS SOOOO AMAZING! I LOVE THIS VIDEO! As a small filmmaker, I love watching behind the scenes of thing, and it’s crazy how similar our processes are! PLEASE DO MORE!!
