Net Energy Metering (NEM) is a system that allows customers with grid tied solar panel systems to sell excess electricity back to the grid. Net Energy Metering 3.0, or NEM 3.0, is an approved update to the current NEM system that will make changes to the way excess electricity is compensated and credited to customers.
