Truth my brother!!! New Balance and other brands might legit be really popular now, but they also might’ve benefited indirectly from the L’s folks were taking online with Nike when stuff was really bad. People were pretty much forced to try something else if they really wanted a new pair of shoes, because it was nearly impossible at times to get a good release when it was online only. I’ve seen people in stores be like “we don’t have that, but we got this…. 🤷🏾♂️”

They created the wave NB had always dreamed of riding 😂 Nikes move def helped to a degree but bulk sales are casual sales. They are easily accessible models, so I sense it’s mainly a trend issue, than the average Joe not being able to cop general releases in stores.
