Thanks for being thorough and very easy to follow. I’m about to use Rakuten and I wanted to make sure I was utilizing it correctly. The only thing you could be more specific on his how often do you get paid. What did you say every three months or every six or something like that. At least I know I won’t get paid tomorrow. Thanks
Just signed up with your link! 👊🏻 The bonus right now that it showed is $40!!! Thanks Chase..I'll be making my purchase soon and your $40 should be headed your way.. win..win. ✌🏻🤟🏻👊🏻
Thank you J C! 🙏🏽 🤙🏽 I'm glad you snagged up the $40 elevated offer. Now go tell ur friends and family about it and send them YOUR link so you can get bonus offers too!
Do they charge me taxes on income that comes from Rakuten? Because I'm paying sales tax on money I'm not really spending, then do I have to pay income tax on my own money that I already paid taxes on before I didn't actually spend the money.
this is from Rakuten's website: "11.6 Taxes You may be taxed on your receipt of bonuses and other consideration (merchandise, travel, etc.) for member referrals or other promotional activities (such as prizes from a sweepstakes) depending on the tax laws of federal, state and local jurisdictions. You will be solely responsible for any and all tax liability arising out of the consideration received in connection with any member referrals or promotional activities." The cash back from Rakuten should not be taxable since it is effectively a discount on your purchase and not income.
how do I know if the specific item i'm buying from Walmart qualifies for cash back? when i go to the site, it says 12% cash back activated but i'm not sure if the item i'm buying qualifies for that % ?
on the Rakuten google chrome extension or rakuten website you can click on Walmart and see which categories will earn what cash back. When it comes to the specific item I am not 100% sure how to check that.
what happen if someone purchase one of your item from ebay but then the item is not available in waltmart or any other store you use to get it from?, I think ebay penalize sellers for canceling orders...what you do in this case?
Sure! 👍🏽 1. From the main screen on the Rakuten website click the "Refer & Earn" Button towards the top. 2. The next screen should show your link about halfway down.
Paypal?! Are you a secret Paypal stockholder? Why use Paypal when they will charge around 3% for incoming monies? Sure, US post is a little slow but like you say, if you're spending money online you shouldn't be hurting for money. So what if theres a little wait - postponed gratification is often sweetest, no? Also, in the States we need to keep the venerable USPS alive as it is becoming increasingly important to our democracy.
no I am not a Paypal stockholder lol. But through Rakuten you wont have to pay for the 3% fee. And you can always get your cash back in the form of Amex points as well. Yes, the USPS is clutch AF
I don't think you deposit money into Rakuten. But as far as withdrawing your cash back, you choose a payment method (Amex points, Paypal, Check) and then Rakuten will automatically send you your money once per quarter.
It looks like you do not need to do anything with your taxes for the cash back that you earn from Rakuten. turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/irs-tax-return/video-are-cash-back-rewards-taxable-income/L1FWHVWGa
You have to actually buy things. You will receive your cash back after you go visit the website from Rakuten and then buy something. For example if you want to buy new Nike shoes. You can go straight to Nike and buy the shoe that you want. Or you can go through Rakuten first, (or use the Google Chrome extension) then visit Nike to buy the same pair of shoes. Except if you go through Rakuten you can earn up to 10% -20% cash back on certain purchases. I hope that helped to clear things up 👍🏼
