You shouldn’t be standing that close, remember you have to stay 30m (or 90ft) away from one of these. Mainly due to the flying tree limbs and debris which could maim or kill you
I would just like to laugh at this person. They have obviously never worked in the wood industry. Us as operators are expected to do this with our boss standing on the log.

@@TimberteamhdpmI think because the camera is so close to the machine and log. But in reality a falling tree is much more dangerous as you have control over the angle of the log when it's in that claw
I would like to do all the work on my own, it gives me joy and adrenaline.I used to do back in the day with my grandad,since now I live in an apartment I can't longer do this type of work.

@@user-ew8ux6qk3p I agree with you that deforestation is a bad thing. No doubt about that. However, humans will always use trees for wood and paper and such for the foreseeable future. But as long as we give back more than we take, I believe it will be alright.
@@user-ew8ux6qk3ptrees are just big crops. We harvest them, we plant them, and we do it over again. It doesn't make sense for the forestry industry to skimp out on replanting because it means the land they've purchased for logging can only be used once. It's all a pretty well maintained process
