Great video. Do you have any thoughts on the poor performance of Ambev? I hear that they have lost a lot of market share to foreign brands like Heineken.
Well ambev is a gigantic bluechip here owns a lot of brands here and there isnt much to grow. Heineken was for shure one of the responsibles, but there is another thing a scam that involved one of the owners company called AMERICANAS. Maybe they lost credibility… but ambev is a solid company.
The 2nd type of " REIT " your talking about are called Business Development Corporations or BDCs here in the 🇺🇸. BDCs are companies that loan money to other companies with an example being Main Street Capital Corporation ( MAIN ) and like REITs receive favorable tax treatment as 90% of profits go to dividend payments. How are stock dividends taxed in 🇧🇷?
For now... the dividends are not taxed yet, but we have now a socialist government that want to tax it to. By the way literally all governments in Brazil have been socialists since 1900...
