To be clear, Dre didn't have such a big role in production of 2Pac's "All Eyez On Me". He only produced 2 songs "California Love" and "Can't C Me" out of the 27 songs. Most of the album was produced by Johnny "J" and Daz Dillinger.

Great job. You forgot to mention one other way he changed rap music. Dre even mentions this in another interview. The Chronic not only introduced us to that west coast funk, it introduced us to better quality - i.e. production and sound in general - rap music. Before, all of the beats had static in it. You always heard a "caaaaaah" sound in the recording. The Chronic had none of that. It was crisp like other genres. After that dropped, you couldn't stand hearing static in a rap song.

I am glad that you did this episode it was much needed because what Dr Dre has contributed to Hip Hop and music as a whole will never be done by anyone. No one will reach his level. Secondly you said that Dre is a producer and not a rapper in your opening comments but that is not true. Dr Dre is a rapper and also a writer, most of The Chronic his debut album was written and co-written by him, his second album 2001 was also written and co-written by him and even on his third album Compton A Soundtrack he's credited for writing and co-writing his songs. So Dre writes, raps and produces as well, I don't get the point why you said Dre Dre is just a producer when he has written so many songs and raps as well. I know a lot of people say Dre has ghostwriters but those are rumours that's been spreading around for years not facts and sadly people believed all these rumours. I can name a ton of tracks Dre has written, his most popular songs like Nothing But A G Thang, The Watcher, Still Dre, Forgot About Dre and Talking To My Diary was written by him.

From what Dre said himself, he never penned anything. Dre is a producer, Drake only got help on a few songs, that doesn’t mean Drake ain’t a rapper lol. Drake wrote for a lot of other artists so he’s an actual rapper. Dre has made it clear he’s only a producer. Thats why all his albums are like compilations and not solo projects.
@sosaonthebeatayy7063

Diverse Mentality What ur saying about drake is true. I just said that for the lolz that he got ghostwriters. And yea we all know Dre calls him self a Producer rather than a rapper, buuuuut by Definition a rapper is: "a person who performs rap music." Which he has done. Anyways tho, love ur channel Quake!
