@@tchakeemn every podcast and radio show seemed to have a bias in favor of Drake. Every podcast had at least one Drake fan having a meltdown. The public forced them to acknowledge his loss even when they didn’t want to. It was weird.
The craziest take ever. Euphoria knocked Drake out. 6:16 was the stomp-out, Not Like Us was the homie b-walkin on IG after he laid there. A straight body.
That was the craziest thing about the narrative that "it was always a losing battle." Dude, the internet who weren't kendrick fans thought he lost after Push ups. Then again, after Taylor made wasn't generally well received, they still said the same thing. Idk how some people forgot what people were saying after Taylor Made. The shit was just a few weeks before he dropped. I guess they needed something to rationalize how people liked Kendricks tracks? It's as if it never entered their mind that he would drop music and that it would, at the very least, be good. Lol They tried to memory hole the crap out of their own words. 😆
Man that part...I literally watched an entire video of a breakdown of Drakes lyrics throughout his career...this man has stolen/plagiarized so damn much..its like how has he gotten away with this for so long... the only thing I can think of is that he has paid them behind the scene... Its obvious his👻writers are lazy as hell...lol
Imagine listening to everything Kendrick said and walking away from it thinking that he's accusing Drake of being half white. My God the media literacy is nowhere to be found. Drake really makes music for the intellectually stunted because how is it that we can never get a single thoughtful response from any of them.
Drake is popular because our average iq is going down. He’s the king of trends and us getting stupider is his main vein. Drizzy Fans are just the attractive cool kids that were automatically cool in high school hanging on to their frame. No substance just vapid vanity.
@@georgec5212 I find it hard to believe Drake fans were popular. They have the energy of people who were loser incels for most of their life but then they glowed up in some way. Either they the came into some more money or they were able to get fit or maybe they finally learned to talk to women enough to charm their way into some sex finally. But they have that vibe of people devoid of rational thoughts but also who are in their "back then they didn't want me now I'm hot they all on me" era. Like they sit online acting like 15 year old meme lords, can't dissect a lyric to save their lives and they live vicariously through Drake. It's like manosphere 2.0 but less fuckable.
@@koldblooded5102 Regarding the intellectual levels of the people who are more often drawn into stanning Drake? Or the fact that many of them behave like people who were hurt/rejected by girls in middle school and never healed from it even in their 30s?
@@ZariDV Drake fans were popular in the sense they played the game and got people to like them. They weren’t the star of the football team or prom king, they were the kids that were either glow up attractive or social climbers who played cool. I meant popular more so in the high school sense because a lot of the high school people just rode their egos into college. Everything millennial that lasted came from the inbetweener crowd, shit like jersey shore and affliction didn’t carry on
You know if Ack saw Drake’s songs charting he wouldn’t question it one bit but with kendrick he’s like, “Uhhh yeah the numbers can fluctuate a lot and Taylor Swift dropped which caused Euphoria to chart.” ??? No wonder nobody takes him seriously bruh
Drake was washed once Kendrick dropped Euphoria? I hope that's what yotue saying, because Drake didn't win a round. Mfs is comparing push ups to like that and said Drake won round 1. That's why mfs said it was 1/1. Which is bullshit. @@jaymca730
That’s why the Drake was in a “lose/lose” argument is bullshit. Kendrick outrapped, outsold, and out strategised Drake without resulting to social media antics. The audacity of Drake to bring up bloggers and bots on The Heart Part 6 when he was using Mal, Kai Cenat and Akademiks, as wel as using Twitter bots is just laughable.
Good I’m black and I know it was about his skin color and the fact that he’s from Canada and biracial. So there is there they call him a white boy and then try to convince you they’re not talking about race. that’s a joke.
his fanbase and his meatriders gassed him up because deep down drake himself even knows he didn’t have chance against Kendrick even some people in the industry warned him about K dot , guess he wanted to find out
The fact that euphoria and all the other tracks went over people’s heads so Kendrick has to make ‘not like us’ a ‘dumbed’ down version of everything he has been saying with a club beat and catchy hooks like ‘a minorrrrrrrr’ -this is like an episode of boondocks😒
Sad really. No wonder I always liked Huey more than Riley because Huey is an artist and a revolutionary visionary while Riley is like the every day dudes and Jane's listening to hip-hop, rap and social media. And hops on to every trend. Whereas Huey is just....badass!
to be fair, euphoria peaked at no. 3 and is on the top 100 for 3 months straight and beaten every drake track in this entire beef, ppl def did not ignore that song, the only people in denial were drake fans trying to make up excuses for why that song was bad, which all boiled down to "this is not my cookie cutter music for teenage girls to dance to at a party".
Kendrick’s problem with Drake was not that he was mixed, it was that he was pretending to get it from the mud and start from the bottom and knew the struggle, when he didn’t. These people can’t be that unintelligent with these platforms.
Right what's really sad is , This battle also showed how illiterate and uneducated and low in comprehension that a lot of these so called grown ups have, and if you look at any of the younger reactions channels I'd say 85 % comprehension level was so low it was quite sad,, and to end quite a few said they were college grads SMDH
Kendrick literally called Adonis a black man, to show that his problem isn’t that Drake is mixed, the problem is the way he acts. I mean, Kendrick respect Eminem more than Drake. It’s not a race issue, really
No wonder Kendrick said 'The Industry can hate me, F them all and their momma'. I had NO IDEA this was the narrative even after Euphoria dropped. Very interesting...
@TehStylishone I'm guessing that's why Kendrick doesn't mess with the industry, it's fake. There was a moment in time before GKMC even came out where they didn't believe he could be a Superstar rapper either.
@reese2354 I think Teh is referring to how it was at the very beginning of Drake's career. Overtime when Drake became the face of rap, the rap media began to back the cash cow, but many thought he was mad corny and soft when he first came onto the scene, I recall.
they were too comfortable mentioning him carelessly like he's some underground rapper it's good to see how Kendrick served this media clowns some sort of poetic justice.
Drake fans just prove that they don’t really care about lyricism. They only care about having music they can bump too. Hip hop just isn’t the same anymore and it’s fckn sad. The fact that Kendrick had to dumb down his lyrics with a bumpy beat to translate to the ovhoe’s was literally the cherry on top 😂.
You described drake angels perfectly and I’ve been saying this about his core audience for a long time, but they call me hater when I tried to engage with them, most of them are basically pop fans infiltrated in hip hop/rap just like their idol, no care about deep lyrics just some catchy songs and beat they can bump their head too
@@user-rn5pb7nd3d literally tho, every single time there’s something new coming out with Drake I always reference it back to Kendrick’s lyrics 😂. Like bro you really ain’t sht 😂.

Naw Kendrick was beating a dead horse on that one. Euphoria really qas all he needed to win. And was better than all of Drake's songs. But you are correct NOT Like Us is the best
@@abhayparekh6072 6:16 was underrated. It basically telling Drake to review his life choices and the people around him before he turned into Michael Jackson; who died by paranoia and being killed by the people around him. Also the part where he was praying for God for what he's about to do.
It took Drake 3 Weeks to respond to Like That but they put kendrick on the clock after 3 days, then he dropped back to back then all of a sudden he's doing too much. The glazing too much.
Yeah Kendrick was the only person to drive the steak through the heart he needed someone who had a similar status. I don’t know why people think dot is ass now but in 2014 the census was he was a young goat. All the talking heads in newyork loved him till control
Yeah... Even entertainers are giving him the side-eye now. Notice there's not many people defending Drake, except for some of the young ladies involved in his story. And, Billie Eilish may have defended Drake, but she's dancing to Not Like Us. I mean, she just replied with the same thing Millie Bobby Brown said. Is that a hint at something? IDK, but it's fishy.

There's no way Mal just said that Drake intentionally kissing and acting inappropriately around a girl he knew was a minor wasn't a red flag 😂😂😂. And I thought AK was riding Drake HEAVY, Mal out here doing tricks on it LMAOOO
Hella crazy. It’s wild to me some people picked Push Ups over Euphoria 🤦🏾♂️. I told some people if they really thought that to stop listening to rap and just read books here on out!
Euphoria has aged incredibly well because it foreshadows Kendrick’s game plan. It basically tells everyone what Drake would do beforehand. It deserves a lot of respect. And people should revisit it. It is a phenomenal opening to this battle by Kendrick.
@@fizzychizzyYep it was incredible move. He was able to frame the whole battle and explain Drake's strategy of attacking his family before he did it and calling him a liar so once Drake started to attack his family everyone was like oh these are just lied he told after hearing Mr morale. So Drake had to come back and explain all the things Kendrick brought up but Kendrick never had to apologize cuz he already told you what Drake was going to do. Pure genius😂
Em took 3 weeks for Mgk. Back in the day it was whatever, months. People are just these days fiending like everything should be instant. Responding in 3 days to a diss when it is also expected to be a very high-quality. Drake can to a point do it because it is just not him whose writing (and he knows indrusty will count him as the winner if it's even remotely close which effects fans and people in general). Kendrick can do it because he is a Lupe type of an anomaly. There ain't too many who can go to the studio and write in one session multiple angles and record them in a day like Kendrick apparently did. Euphoria is more dense so I think that was written beforehand, but the other what.. 5 tracks he still supposedly got ready unreleased. Not many can go and keep it at that level for writing the others in the studio (atleast Alchemist said in my memory that he wrote it at the studio). You really have to be at the level when you go against a guy like that. Drake even with help just cannot do that, I tought Push Up's was already a bit lazy and tought hence released as a "leak" (still got 3 writers on it). The guy thinks he can just bully people off by his status and having no morals on how to do things, completely explains the egoistic move of even going for this since it have worked in the past. Seemed to forget the stinge Pusha made him feel 😅 Maybe not thinking if he can take your 100mill Adidas deal.. what can Kendrick who is a Known name can take from you.. Absolutely delusional, the AI Pac move just proved how absolutely delusional the guy is.

When I saw the Internet doubting Kendrick I was so baffled, the man who won a Pulitzer award, the man who has a video of himself from Years ago participating in a Rap battle in the streets of Compton, The man Who dropped GKMC, TPAB, DAMN back to back Kendrick??😭😭
Facts I was actually so sad seeing that people where so dumb and stupid to doubt k dot I just say it's because most of these people don't actually listen to kendrick and that's facts
The reason so many people defending Drake to the end is cause of money, contracts, endorsements. They was tryna make Drake bigger then MJ but after this that brand fumbling. They scrambling for anything. Like dot said twist that narrative however you want but the people know. Only reason people backing Drake so hard is cause they mad they meal ticket expired.

While Drake is talking about the many women he’s slept with and places he’s flown, Kendrick had a whole album inspired by his experiences with therapy. It’s pretty clear to me who embraces the culture when you take away the flashiness.

What they didnt realize is Kendrick was cooking up five diss records in those 17 days. This is why it is important to be patient. Cooking up a gourmet meal takes time. All this glazing from Aks got Drake so big headed in arrogant it actually did hin a disservice.
I really appricate this video because now that the battle is over everyone is Monday morning quarterbacking talking about how "Drake never stood a chance"yada yada. Yet before Euphoria EVERYONE was counting Kendrick out. They said he couldn't make a hit, they said he couldn't do no damage to Drakes brand. Alllllll that bullshit. Drake doesn't even write his own shit, so how did he ever win anything.. Drake's ghost writer is in a beef with Kendrick not chomo BBL. If your gonna beef with a legend you better at least write your own lyrics for fuck sake.. Drake is for the woman dudes who like Drake are sus PERIOD. I've never ever heard another man say, bro play some Drake 😂😂😂😂 you would automatically be sus in my eyes
Drake is a master manipulator. He makes them believe he will fuck with them, give them an interview, give them free merch for life, and in turn they protect Drake in the public opinion arena. I just can’t believe these media niggas are that stupid to not realize this. Drake don’t fuck with none of them genuinely
Push up’s was hella weak. His whole angle was his contract split and his shoe size….thats hard?….drake d gobblers would say it was I guess lol…..euphoria actually had direction. Kendrick rebuttaled all drakes talking points, broke down drakes character, had humor, and made people again question who Drake was as an individual. Euphoria is miles better than push ups
This battle showed that the culture doesn’t respect these talking heads anymore lol. We watch them for entertainment but the days when their takes would sway opinions is over. Bc hip hop media definitely tried to play like Push Ups was better than Euphoria and I remember feeling so confused and not understanding how that was even possible 😅

The actual point of why Kendrick don't like Drake saying nigga or that he "isn't really black" went over so many of Drake's fans heads I genuinely thought they were purposefully misconstrued the meaning
Kendrick made reference tracks. If you knew the business you’d feel like a kid who believed in Santa Claus. They all write but they collaborate and use reference tracks also. Drake has wrote countless hits for himself and others but you’d have to understand the business. Listen to what the other artist say who are not in a rap battle.
Yes 100% Kendrick keeps himself to himself and rarely does many interviews. Drake on the other hand is active on social media so it's not just interviews but even dms or exclusive info from him so they want to maintain that relationship.
The collective glazing in this video is beyond diabolical, and is actually unbelievable. Kendrick WON. Lord God, Mal and Akademiks especially were something else.
It's odd to me that all of these radio and internet personalities, some who have met Kendrick before and have heard his music, would think for a minute that he was afraid to respond to Drake. Did they not hear "Like That"? What's with the brain rot in society that anyone would think Drake is a competent challenge for Kendrick and he's somehow intimidating? How are we even impressed by his bars that are cute at best. There's nothing I heard in any of his tracks that was even that deep. I'm disappointed in them. No critical thinking whatsoever.
You hit the nail on the head. They don't want deep, they want shallow, flavorless, cultureless. And they want to convince us that it's somehow better that way.

I came into this battle hating both Kendrick and Drake. By the time 6 16 in LA dropped, I was so in awe of Kendrick, I overcame my hate and cursed myself for pre-judging. By the time Meet the Grahams dropped, Kendrick had me rethinking my life... ... to me, the winner is clear as day. Drake didn't impress me at all.
