@@salmence100 It's still a nice way to boost your chances, especially if you get a couple ponds. Plus the pearl from Willie for a full crab pond is a nice bonus! I'll definitely use it in future runs
You made me curious, so I looked up the droprates. It's 0.8% and 0.2% respectively. (Or 1/125 and 1/500, expressed as fractions.) So multiplying 1/125 * 1/500 = 1/62,500 odds, haha!!
@@joshw9424 its actually 0.8×0.2+0.2×0.8, cause its also allright if you get them at the reverse order... making it 2/62,500 odds! Or 1/31,250 Which isnt helpfull but, yknow, its possible 😊
The Rabbits foot is my current last item in the game I'm playing. it showed up the first Friday of the Cart and I wasn't ready for it and I haven't seen it yet so I'm just waiting on my rabbit to provide it.
I have found a seed that allows you to finish the CC by Fall 2nd! The traveling cart in the seed 335945760 gets you the otherwise unobtainable fall and winter foragables and crops, along with a couple duck feathers if you want to skip that RNG. The only things it won't have are the tiger trout and walleye, which you can get by using a rain totem on Fall 1st. As a bonus, it also has a crop fairy visit on Summer 1st. Hope this helps someone!
I will say that as fun as this is, I always like finishing it in year two because it means getting a bunch of affection with Kent for the bulletin board. Granted, he's not that hard a guy to become friends with using gifts, etc, but still.
oh does the bulletin board give friendship with the villagers 😥 i thought it meant with junimos. i might not complete it because i want to discover all the voicelines
My first play through, I had no idea the elevator in the mines existed it took me till day 26 of winter to realise I could use it instead of having to start from level 0 every time haha
@@velvetbutterflyit’s possible. xbox worlds can have a bug where the elevators don’t ding, instead making a very subtle sound. it can be really easy to miss especially for a first time player attempting to get 40+ levels deep in one day. i figure you probably ignore most things besides staircases and ore in that situation.
You mixed up deluxe speed-gro and hyper speed-gro a couple times. The video shows you placing hyper speed-gro in the greenhouse. Then you harvest it 5 days later, even though it only takes 4 days to grow. I very recently completed a run on Fall 14 without dependence on the travelling cart or crop fairy (though I did end up buying a nautilus shell because I had bad luck with my mussel fish pond). You don't need to add 9 days without the crop fairy, since first of all pumpkins grow in only 8 days with hyper speed-gro and agriculturalist, and secondly you didn't account for the 1 day it took even with the crop fairy. So it should be Fall 7 with the crop fairy, and Fall 14 without.
I think the fastest I've achieved the CC was Fall 5 (got lucky with a pumpkin and eggplant in the traveling cart). It's certainly doable, but takes a good amount of luck and time management!
This is why I love watching you. It's because I get that fix on trying to complete everything as soon as possible, so I can actually focus on taking my time when I play. Thank you so much for these awesome chaotic videos.
Yams and snow yams are easy, you can get yams from duggies in the mines and snow yams by hoeing the ground in the ice floors of the mines. Granted, it wouldn't change much, since both bundles that each item is in is also waiting for something else
It would not change much if you aim to finish in fall. However if you try to finish summer the second, it would help a lot. You need a good seed for the travelling cart to sell all required 12 items, moreover the seed should include a fairy the first night of summer. It is not even clear wether or not such seed exists (although playing around with which crops the fairy grow could help, there is still a lot of restrictions). If you need 2 less items it will be much easier to find a good seed (although still very hard).
BlaDe did this type of run but I hadn't seen anyone else try it. It's an interesting thought experiment, trying to find a perfect traveling cart seed to get everything ASAP.
Wow this is kinda insane. I usually aim to complete the Greenhouse by like ~Fall 10 and the Community Center probably on like Winter 1, but you're (hypothetically) two seasons ahead of me! The idea to plant the Winter foraging seeds in the Greenhouse is very clever.
"I'd love to see someone actually do the run someday." ...why would you tempt me like this? In all sincerity, it's cool to see this broken down so cleanly! I believe you could do it even earlier with Remixed Bundles to eliminate Quality Crops and some absolutely busted Traveling Cart days, but I can't imagine even that would change it by much. Fantastic job all around!
I'm curious as to how remixed bundles would affect the minimum amount of time it takes to complete the community center. I'm pretty sure by inputting a specific seed for your file you could get the optimal bundles to show up, though I'm not sure if it would be possible to complete it before fall due to the farming bundles Edit: I looked on the wiki, and it looks like remixed bundles will only really change how easy it is to complete the center, not how long. It can help take a lot of the luck required down a notch, though (like only having to get an ancient fruit instead of several gold-quality crops)
It indirectly effects how long due to it picking random bundles to replace and how your cart rng plays out. Since you could get a good bit of the season locked stuff from the cart assuming the seed allows it.
I did a 1 year CC run with remixed bundles and did it by I believe Winter 1. There were SO many last minute crunches though. I got the rare fruit bundle instead of quality crops which was nice. On the other hand I got the kids bundle for the bulletin which was a PAIN. I also totally forgot about the truffle and by the luck of god got one on Fall 28. The rabbits foot was also tricky but I got one from a serpent sometime in late fall. It’s definitely super doable in a reasonable amount of time but be prepared for some curveballs.
A little late to the comment section, but as I decided to try this run myself, thought I'd share the seed I found with BlaDe's seed finding script for the Summer 2 CC completion! 611235816 contains a Walleye, Tiger Trout, Pumpkin, Crocus, Hazelnut, Eggplant, Red Cabbage, Poppy, and Hot Pepper in the traveling cart in Spring, every item that cannot be theoretically obtained in other possible methods before Summer 2!
I was playing recently in a challenge run to see how much money I could make within the first year (without looking up any guides), and the second friday of my first summer, the traveling merchant had a red cabbage (the actual cabbage, not just the seeds), and I hadn't even ticked the "Guarantee Year 1 Completable" box. I wasn't trying to get the community center done in the first year, but I should be able to do it before the end of fall now.
The yam is dropped by teh Duggies in the mines, so that individual box could be filled out theoretically the first day you enter the mines, but that doesn't really change much
I love your videos so much. Most helpful Stardew Valley tips and I love your lax and chill voice. I wanted to just shout out a personal thank you for making this game a lot more understandable and fun for me. ❤️
Would you ever do this run for real? It would be fun to watch and see if the rng and timing could all come together. I know other people have done this min maxed but since this is such an rng dependent strategy it would be fun to see you do it and be confronted with the harsh reality lol
It took me to about year 4 on my current (and first) playthrough of the game to do the community center. I'm on year 6 now, 1 snake skeleton away from getting all the golden walnuts! If I made a new save right now, I could probably do the community center in year 2. A lot of it was not knowing was fish I needed, what crops I needed, etc, so having to wait another year cycle
I love this. In computer science we often have to prove something is possible even if not possible to be accomplished within your lifespan (or the lifespan of the universe, for that matter). This video is basically an exercise in compsci. Even though it may take a lot of retries (more than humanly possible), it's cool to know that there's a lower limit to how fast the game can be completed.
I remember finding my red cabbage seed from the traveling cart on spring 21 year two. They just had to give me the worst luck possible but still give me the red cabbage before summer year two
There are two more items from the list that you can get reliability in the regular caves - Yam (drop from duggies) and Snow Yam (chance to dig up in the frozen floors).
Made this a goal with my current play through. I purposely got Demetrius to 7 hearts and save scummed the nautilus shell the morning I got a letter from him. The traveling cart had worse rng, even though I checked the year 1 complete guaranteed. I got the red cabbage seed and rabbits foot to drop from serpents in skull cavern. I also skipped parsnips for the quality crops and substituted corn due to forgetting about needing them and using them for gifts. I had to fully upgrade 1 barn and have 1 big coop for the animal products needed. Took the bat cave and planted 1 apple tree and 1 pomegranate tree in the Summer Year 1 to bear fruit by Fall year 1. I got the CC unlocked Fall 19 Year 1 for my efforts.
Do you have a run of you completing the community center in 1 year? I'd really like to see it! I had so much fun with your no-farming run and this feels like It'd be a similar vibe.
Fastest I've completed the CC was Fall 16th. Without the Traveling Cart or Crop Fairy. Still believe that is the most realistic earliest way to complete it. Also you can get DSG from Sandy on Thursdays.
If you play chosen-seed-123456789 takes care of Nautilus Shell and the Red Cabbage-or if you're willing to save-scum a Demetrius letter-Fall 17 is pretty reliable. I've done it twice. After the infamous Cabbage-which is now reliable but annoying via Serpents-the Nautilus Shell tends to be the blocker. In the video, you used Hyper Speed Gro, which is the one you don't have. Deluxe Speed Gro (level 2) is the one that's available in the desert.
Fun fact! Duggies can also drop yams. I'm doing a "communist" challenge and have taken note of everything that can be obtained without spending money 😅 of note is the fact that you actually have to buy a bean starter - the only spring crop that won't show up in mixed seeds or gifts from Caroline - and buying a truffle from TC means you don't need a barn at all, which is a HUGE money save. Animal bundle can be completed with gifts and the coop (of which all you need to buy is a duck egg). I could go in more detail if people want.
Happy to say I finished the CC on Winter 4th, after finally getting the Crocus, Snow Yam and Nautilus shell. I did the CC remixed and it made some things easier while others were way harder (didn't need all the Barn animal products, but I did need a battery pack which took forever)
I got CC about halfway through Spring Year 2 on my first farm :) But after watching a bunch of videos, I realized my seed was far luckier than I imagined. I also got a prismatic shard from my first visit to the quarry!
Finally, after 60 hours in game i decided to create new file (after almost a year break) and try to do the CC in first year. Honestly i thought it would be harder. Currently i'm on 27 fall and i'm only missing 2 items from winter foraging, truffle and rabbit's foot. I built my coop and barn at start of fall so that's the reason for animal things. I think the only thing i bought from travelling cart was red cabbage seed. Btw, I find beach farm most fun for me. And yes i used bats cave
I wonder - is it actually theoretically possible on Summer 2nd? I'm mainly referring to how the Stardew Valley RNG works in patterns - so acquiring 5 gold quality produce in this close of a proximity may be fairly difficult Although I suppose with a high enough farming level + Fertilizer (which both most likely can be achieved to max out?) it may be doable
Besides trying to get 13 missing items by Summer 2nd in the only 8 Traveling Cart days until that day, you would have to get enough money to update your house, update the coop and the barn, and get the vault bundle done. This is a lot of money.
Great, fun video! I'm not in a rush to complete the community center, but I do get irritated by not having the greenhouse done by winter. I'm starting week 2 of summer on the beach farm and forgot to keep a potato😔 Pierre was closed, so I shipped them all. Also haven't built a coop or barn yet. The animal products is usually my downfall year 1, especially since I prefer to skip sheep and go straight for rabbits.
You can get wild spring seeds from foraging and then convert them into fall/summer/winter at the desert merchant seeds and then grow them in the greenhouse.
It is if you go out after the egg festival, either skip the event by leaving at 2 pm or later OR go to the event, come home and then go to the CC at 10 pm
I finished the community center on Spring 1st of the 2nd year because of a single mistake. I forgot to donate a Sunfish, and my luck was so bad that for the entire year, I didn't get it in the traveling cart My point being, Sunfish will always bite you in the ass when you forget them cause they're fairly useless
lvl 9 farming on summer 3 sounds near impossible, you have to have a HUGE farm and sprinklers or watering can. however you could get 1 seedmaker from dye bundle reward and then do the winter root in it. thats really smart i didnt know you could do that
I just started playing. I'm currently summer year 2 without following any min/max guides. Just using wiki for where to source items that I need and to know grow times etc. I'm only missing the walleye because I slacked on fishing year 1
Recently ran into your channel for your 100 days without farming video, happy to catch an upload this early despite not having subscribed... until now. Keep up the good content! I'm hoping you try another one of those 100 day challenge runs in the future.
definitely early, probably in the first year's winter if you play your cards right but _only_ if you use the animal-ID cheat for the harder items like duck feathers and red cabbage.
I mean the crop fairy thing is possible. My first time playing the game I got three crop fairys in spring year one back to back that grew 80% of my crops for me for that first spring and then i basically cried when i realize that that would probably be the last time I ever see the crop fairy 😂
I just made and attempt recently but it’s so hard. Getting the upgraded barn and coop but also having the money to do the vault is what I’m struggling with. I should have focused more on cranberries than pumpkins and corn I would have had enough money.
yams can be found in the mines too! (i think the lower 80-120 floors?) so you could conceivably have one less thing you need to plant if you really have THIS kind of luck lol
I am new, I didnt focus on the cc in year 1. Just a tiny bit. I wanted to do complete it by year 2. I baught a pomegranate tree but my game crashed and I didnt buy it(i remember my game crashing and I later pieced it together I didnt buy the tree). I thought I did. Now its fall year 2 and I realized I didnt have a pomegranate. Now I am planting it in my greenhouse but it will be a while. I litterally only need this item to complete it. I choose mushroom cave
In my newest curren vanilla run, I'm literally only missing 3 items the bulletin board on winter 1st year. The truffle, the red cabbage and the pomegranate
Me and my friend accidentally rushed the community centre and I didn’t realize it until they mentioned we hadn’t reached year two for something or another in regards to the joja bundle
