In Mario Kart DS, you can crash the game by selecting Luigi's Mansion, driving up to the stairs and then, on the stairs, just press A, B and Left. Not sure if the buttons are exactly right. Also, another way to crash Super Mario 64 DS is by going to Shifting Sand Lands and selecting any star besides 1 and 5. Reason being is because to do this, you need Klepto to attack you, and in those two stars, that isn't gonna happen, since in star 1, Klepto's holding a star in his talons and in star 5, he isn't in the level. What you need to do now is grab one of those wooden boxes and then make your way over to where Klepto is. If Klepto sees you, then he'll attack and if that happens, and you're still holding the box, the game will crash the second Klepto touches you. You can also crash Super Mario Odyssey if you fall into the lava at the same time you capture Bowser.

I remember when I went to a rest stop and they had a little thing where you could play super mario, so I went to world minus 1 and softlocked the game and nobody had a clue of what to do.

There's an easier way to crash Mario Maker. In Story Mode, use the Assist Mode to place a pow under a course specific power up, and game should crash. Though, it's probably patched by now.

The first one can also be done with the 4 retro style objects in 3D World. For example: Since a koopaling wasn’t intended to be in 3D World, using this glitch on retro items on the 3D World style also crashes the game. (PS: You need to be lucky for the 3D World style to show up on Coursebot. So keep that in mind.)

SMB negative 1 world is basically an infinite repeating level. When you exit the level it will just throw you right back to the beginning. This will continue until time runs out

In Super Paper Mario chapter 7-1, if you go into 3D, and go behind the pipe at the edge of the screen, then go to 2d, it’s a soft lock because you can only use 3D when on the ground, and you can’t return to flipside unless you are on the ground. You can’t touch the ground because there is an enemy you can’t defeat that is blocking the ground, and it’s a 1x1 area, so the enemy is the only thing you can step on.

In Super Mario 64 you can crash the game on save selection screen. As soon as you press Start on the title screen, move the Control Stick down, then press A when the cursor is on the green tile. Timing on this can be a bit tricky. You'll get the message that the save data doesn't exist. The message won't fade out, though. If you select "Delete" at this point, you'll get the confirmation dialog as if the valid save file was selected. If you press "Yes" at this screen, you'll hear Mario's scream, which is used here to inform the user that save data was removed, however the game will crash, since it attempts to modify data outside of the array, which stores save data.
