I'm atmakaraka vargottama Sun speaking and yes this is true, I don't put anyone more than me unless it is the God or Guru. It is devotion to God and respect for knowledge shared to Guru. I never followed any celebrity and no craziness towards them.

I can't thank you enough for putting it out there.. I had this wonderful awakening few years back and that's when I started taking my power back.. I had an experience with, Hillary Swank. I was in a health food store/cafe in, 2002, in Mechanicsville, Va. I approached her and thanked her for her work, as it touched me so deeply. It was before she won her second Oscar. She said she had a terrible cold and was looking for some relief. I suggested she look into something I was taking to strengthen my immune system. She thanked me kindly and then....yep, I asked her for her autograph. In hindsight, I can actually feel the connection of simple, helpful communcation, turn into a manipulation by my starstruck self. I put her above me and I felt it, and I understand it now. I am so grateful that this vid was suggested. Thank you!

The King metaphor you used for the Sun reminded me of the story of Kovalan from the Tamil Epic Silappathikaaram. He was a wealthy merchant, often, in some word-of-mouth versions, known as a king or prince of a small kingdom who splurged all his wealth on a dancer and lost everything. Thank you for this eye-opening insight. 🙏 It spoke to me but not about how I relate to celebrities and public figures. I realized I've been putting men I date on a pedestal, and I'm sure a lot of people can relate. When I date someone, I obsess over them, lose myself, lose sight of my goals and purpose, do everything to please them, and can easily be gaslighted because I cannot see through the deception anymore. I end up getting used, hurt, and weak-willed. I abandon myself and make my sun and Rahu weak. I just understood now. Thank you again. 🙏
Love this. I’ve always had this ideology and have never even been able to call myself a “fan”. A supporter to few, but never a “fan” I hate that word. Many people who meet their “idols” are left disappointed. I also hate that so many people compare themselves to celebrities and influencers, not realizing those people are also just human and flawed like the rest of us taking away all the maya. No man can escape his karma, not even the rich and famous. In my mind, no one deserves to be praised but God himself and the truly wise (which very few human beings are).

On a larger scale, I'm sooooo glad to see that politicians, royalty and celebs worldwide are falling off their pedestals in the eyes of many. It's been a long time coming but the utter corruption and immorality of these groups can't be hidden anymore. It's a giant step in the Great Awakening that's happening in the world for the benefit of all humanity!
This is an absolutely enlightening advice. Lots of common folk these days are against the idea of worshipping celebrities. They are able to see through their perfectly made up public personas and realize that they are no different from regular people experiencing regular problems. In a way, it helps the common folk to honestly connect with celebrities on a true human level and understand that they have imperfections too. Thus, enhancing their own value in society. Thank you boss, I am going through a Rahu Mahadasha and Sun Antardasha, Su Ve Ra conjunction in 10th house in Cancer. Although I have never been a celebrity worshipper, I still have at times put people on pedestal - and I am gradually learning that we are all equal in this God's world. A beggar and a King is only differentiated by their karmas and beliefs. And this is the phase of my life that I feel more powerful than ever. No pedestalizing others, not putting down anyone either - but realizing that - In all of us , the same eternal reality shines.

Such a good talk :) I also fell into being starstruck growing up. It's tough not to in today's culture. A lot of people can't afford any other drugs. Later I got over it and much later I met some of the people I'd admired, and we treated each other like people. I didn't take any photos with anyone I'd been a fan of earlier, as an adult, and kind of wish I had if they're gone now, but they would have had to ask. A lot of them -- not any of the few I met -- have bleeped-up karma. Sensitive people can kind of feel it -- but if they've already been hooked.... 🙏

This felt like a personal reading. I have sun rahu venus conjunction in leo and my friends have forever told me that the way I talk about celebrities as if I know them personaly through all their faults and scars. I, however, have never really thought of them as anything more than human beings trying to make a living but I was always curious why my friends can't see them as regular people😂😂😂

THANK YOU!!!! OMG people always getting on me for not praising celebs/humans with seemingly high achievements. Humans are fallible, I save my praise and approach them as equals with respect. I always wondered why I hated seeing that! Now I know why. I even went viral for a little and people started doing this to me and I was repulsed. I feel bad for famous people, it's not a peaceful experience. It also takes a lot of work to get there. People don't see it from the inside.
I’ve never been impressed by actors. My friends always gave me odd looks when I say I don’t have a favorite actor or singer. I do appreciate certain stories and personalities of the actors but not enough to go mad over them. Thank you for showing me I’m not crazy! ❤

MY REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE: it just dawned upon me after watching this video. I have been thinking lately what are my thoughts now. Where have they come from. These are not mine. This is not me. And this has started since 2020. Now i can link it to why. I was always this person who was unfazed by stars. Kisiko bhaav nahi milta tha. Maybe few times here and there but not crazy anytime. But suddenly too much of social media and i started fan gurling over many celebs. I literally was begging and manifesting someone’s life. An A list celeb from the holly i wont mention who. But recently has been in news for all the wrong reasons and I believe this news. Now i notice the pattern and thoughts and behaviour. I think was subconsciously downloading the negative aspects. That or it’s my own inability to monitor what i consume and think about. In either case I don’t want to be that person anymore. Thank you kapiel for helping me find the missing link.
It's interesting because I was never really crazy about any celebrity or person. I simply admired and appreciated their talent, beauty, wisdom, or knowledge. Even in my childhood, I never understood why people would get so enthralled by celebrities. Well, my Sun, which also happens to be my Atmakaraka, is the strongest planet in my birth chart. I have the Sun in Leo in Uttara Phalguni in the 10th house. My Sun is strong in most of my divisional charts; it's exalted in D60 and in Sagittarius in my Navamsha. In fact, I often found myself in the spotlight. One memorable instance was when I was 15 years old, and I portrayed Michael Jackson in a comedy sketch. I made sure to resemble him and did my best while impersonating him. I never expected that I would become a sensation, signing autographs for two weeks straight at my vacation camp. The kids went absolutely wild for me. I would have never imagined that my performance would earn me a standing ovation and fame.

I have never ever followed any film star or sports or businessman. It never entertained me. That's why my friends consider me old fashioned etc but I always get attracted to Enlightened Beings Gurus and Yogis I always followed them and Worshipped them and it's really transforming experience.

I know someone like this, always idolising people when we all die and rot . I have my atmakarara in sun and for one I view no one as better than me or place them on a pedestal. When I go to pray on my altar, that's the only pedestal I know. A man can have more than me, I will acknowledge and move on without the praises. As you said Kapiel, just appreciate their talents.

KRS, this reminds me SO much of SRK. I've always heard him glorifying his own work, to the point that he even apologises if he sounds arrogant, but he maintains that he is just THAT GOOD. Then again, he also is quite transparent about how he is a slave to the image of Shahrukh Khan, he labours to be THE SRK. He indeed is the last of the stars in Bollywood and the pride he takes in his hard work is the lesson I try to learn from him. If I don't value myself, who will? The people we often admire a lot are usually great at one area of life, but people also tend to forget that those same people are probably pretty average in other areas of their life. I used to admire Robert Smith of the Cure for writing, what I consider, really beautiful music, but as I got older, I realized...that' he's just a person who's really good at his job. And he's probably just a regular guy in the other areas in his life. Just like Messi is great at one thing: football/soccer. Just people who are great at their jobs, but at the end....just people. Admire their talent? Sure. Idolize? No thanks.
