The fuel kegs have just appeared at Wal-Mart here in TX. Price is $18 and change. For me though, I'm going to go with the Flame King for the simple reason that they have 4 different shapes and sizes of tanks. Mr. Heater only requires the one size, so I can't imagine them branching out on that.
I realize this video was made some time ago, but on the Fuel Keg refill device can the protruding point be removed. I've notice a screwdriver slot at the end. That way one refill device could be used on multiple cylinders/tanks. Including the disposables if one desires.
If someone is concerned that the ring flopping around might get in the way of something or hang up on something, looks like it could be removed easily enough... meaning that a small steel rod (maybe an allen key!) could fit through the hole where the ring was to provide enough leverage to turn the valve.
@@brianbowles5549 this is because liquid propane i recall is 270x the amount of propane leaking vs vapor. normally finds your water heater pilot light or autoignitor etc.
Curious about your thoughts about refilling non refillable Colman tanks. I see a lot of people on ice fishing facebook groups talking about them doing so. I won’t personally refill a non refillable tank.
