Its is quite amazing to see this 10$ electric water heating kettle turn off its power when
water starts boiling.
Thank you Mr. Benn Rees for supporting me on patreon.. Thank you very very much❤️❣️.
I was quite amazed to see it's simplicity and trick to make that magic happen..
its seems very complicated at first but believe me, you will also be amazed by the end if this video...

I was happy after watching your video, but when I want repair my Phillips kettle I found that the screw head has three points instead of 4, it seems for safety reasons they want to discourage people due to possible fire hazards
@AmateurInventor
@AmateurInventor Год назад
Yeah, this is very likely, they are using different kind of screw to avoid general people to access the internals as specialized repair shop already have such screw drivers. If you are confident enough, you can go ahead, but if you're skeptical, you may want someone else to repair that.

Brother if the kettle is on and water is boiling and if we touch on steel body of that kettle do we get electric shock ?
@AmateurInventor
@AmateurInventor 10 месяцев назад
No no, you won't get shocked. The electric system and the metal body is isolated.

nice hands on, but do you know how the metal piece is activated at 100℃?And what happens if say you use the kettle at high altitude where say water boils at 90 ℃?
@AmateurInventor
@AmateurInventor 3 года назад
You got quite a nice question 😄, the turning off action is purely dependent on the variable lateral expandibility of metals which make the thermostat and it really doesn't care whether the water is boiling or not, if it gets sufficient heat, it will do its action and in the case you described, because the lid will be closed during the boiling process, the water will eventually reach 100°c producing steam of 100°c which triggers the thermostat. The auto off action will not teigger immediately after water starts boiling but it will happen after some. You may try and share the result with me 😉

everything is great but it's hard to understand your thick accent. The music makes it even harder. Other than that, editing, content, dialogue, engageness, 10/10 brother. I'd say turn off the music, it's outdated for 2021 imo, and work on your pronunciation, but keep it up your content is great

@@AmateurInventor yeah I was wondering why the bimetallic strip on the handle is needed at all, can a kettle function off the other one instead
@AmateurInventor
@AmateurInventor 3 года назад
there is a very clever reason behind this. you may have noticed that when water boils, it not only turns off power to the kettle but ols pushes the manual switch to off position preventing kettle to power up once again after the bimetallic strip had cooled down. and if there was only one metallic strip locate at the bottom as you said then still everything will work fine but the kettle will start again and again after the bimetallic thermostat cools down and you will have to manually power off the kettle to stop this behaviour otherwise. hope this made it clear. subscribe if you think my efforts worth your time🙂

English learners, and the teachers underestimate the importance of good pronunciation. I bet this guy strugles to understand English native speakers because of this, and native speakers can't understand him.
@AmateurInventor

yeah, you might be correct and the native speakers might not understand my ascent but I do understand the native speakers well😅. English is not my native language and I'm practicing it. o one is born perfect, it all about the practice and I'm working on to further improve it.
