In our everyday life, Electricity plays on very important role. And we didn’t find the electricity, just decoded one of the fundamental force of the universe (Electromagnetic force). Once we got idea of how Electric force works, we started to create electricity from the electric force. So What is electricity? How does it work? What is the difference between current and voltage?
Electricity is the flow of charge. To know about electricity we need to dive into deeply level (Atomic level). Even though atomic physics is a complex subject, working of electricity is not complicated at all.
In this video i tried to explain in simple terms about the working principle of electricity at the basic level.

I'm not very smart, and not very educated. I've tried to understand basics about electricity for years but the videos and written works all eluded me. This is the first time I feel like I have a grasp. I can now imagine it, and that's good enough for me. I just cannot thank you enough. 👏👍

why do we need ampere and coulomb if they equal the same?
@Leadership_matters
@Leadership_matters Месяц назад
That is because they are not the same thing. He made a mistake. A does not equal C. A=C/s Coulomb is a measure of charge. The unit is Coulombs. That charge could moving or static. Amperes measure the flow of charge. The unit ampere is defined as 1 Coulomb per second. C/s. I hope that helps.

If potential difference i.e voltage, is defined by the difference in potential between the position of the electrons and that of the protons in a battery, will a 1.5 volt battery still deliver 1.5 volts if I use a 100 cm copper wire, instead of a 10 cm copper wire, to connect it's two terminals? Because then, the electrons will be 10 times further part from the protons than with the 10 cm wire.

Electricity is a form of energy that arises from the movement of charged particles, such as electrons. It is a secondary energy source, generated from other energy sources like coal, natural gas, or solar power. Electricity works by creating a flow of electrons through a conductor, like a wire. This flow is known as an electric current. The current is generated by a voltage, or electric potential difference, between two points. The voltage pushes the electrons through the conductor, creating a flow of energy. The flow of electrons is controlled by switches, transformers, and other devices to transmit and utilize electricity. Electricity powers devices, machines, and systems, enabling many modern technologies, including lighting, communication, and computation. It is a fundamental part of modern life, essential for powering homes, industries, and transportation systems. Understanding electricity and its applications is crucial for harnessing its power and potential.

Electron drift velocity is on the order of mm/s. When you switch on a light, it is powered almost instantaneously, in many km/s. Electron drift velocity itself is way too low to provide power. Electric & magnetic fields are very fast though...
