How Elsa & Anna’s Parents Are Still Alive Helping Their Children!

Elsa replied that a bridge has two side and Idunna had two daughter, implying that the two sisters together were the Fifth Spirit. This provide a convenience explanation for why Anna never developed magic of her own, she was the human side of the bridge, and nicely fits their relationship: Anna always kept Elsa grounded. When Elsa first uncounted the Nokk in the ocean, he let get to the surface and catch a few breaths before attacking her. I doubt he would have done that if he just wanted to drown her. I think the other spirits wanted to test the Fifth Spirit; Elsa gained Gale's, Bruni's and Nokk's respect by subduing them and Anna won the Earth Giants' respect by making the decision to demolish the dam and risking her own life to see it done. I've heard that Josh Gad loves to improvise lines and that his calling out "Samantha" and the way he laughed at himself afterwards, was an example of that. The directors would have kept it because it was funny and actually fit Olaf's character, who was largely the comic relief, but it was probably unscripted and definitely never meant to be taken seriously. When Elsa was unfrozen, Nokk immediately appeared to take her to save Arendell, then back to the Enchanted Forest where he gracefully bowed so she could gracefully dismount, and at the end of the movie when she told Gale they were going for a ride, Nokk bounded out of a stream and pranced up to she where they touched foreheads. Clearly he had calmed down and was just as happy to take Elsa where ever she wanted to go as she was to ride him. Sometime a storm is just a storm. Given how important the death of the sisters' parents are to their stories and character growth, the worst thing the creators of Frozen could possible do is say "we were just kidding, see, their parents are alive." Especially if it's just to milk more money out of the franchise. I don't know what shipwreck you're referring to. The wreck I saw in Frozen II clearly had most of the ship together. Personally, I think part of the reason for having Elsa call up the memory of her and Anna's parents drowning was to put an end to all of those rumors about them being alive. Agnarr and Idunna did not have their older daughter's magic, or her immunity to cold. They would have been on the edge of hypothermia before they even reached Attahallan and would have succumb soon afterwards. That assumes that they would have even reached the glacier alive which, according to your earlier reasoning that the Nokk had deliberately sank their ship, would not have happened because he would have made sure everyone on the ship were dead. I think that Attahallan may have been a place where the walls between the worlds of the living and dead are thinner, as well as a place that stores what water remembers. In any case, I doubt that Elsa could even think after she had turned to ice which is why she had to send that message to Anna before she froze completely. How would Idunna have been able to send messages if she were an ice statue? I would rather the Frozen franchise end now than see Disney continue to make a list of worsening movies, as has happened with the likes of the Terminator and Alien franchises. Western Europe isn't the only place they can draw inspiration for their movies from and Moana and Raya and the Last Dragon shows that they know that.

Yeeeah thing is, I think the whole voice being the girl's mother most likely is atahallen using her voice to call out to elsa. Seeing as we only see her at the glacier and the glacier is basically a "river of memory"

The parents were frozen so long that they died but there spirit is still there . Dead family and friends do that sometimes before they go to heaven .

I didn't interpret Elsa's recalling of the waters memory as their parents being cursed or 'frozen', but that they drowned. Elsa recreated the water's memory in ice, because that's what she does, but it clearly show the parents embracing each other as the water is rising up around them

Shown in frozen 2, Elsa + Anna's parents where trying to find the reason Elsa had powers. Maybe the sea didn't want her parents to find the answer, it wanted Elsa herself to find it. OR the sea didn't trust Elsa's father because she thought it would be like Elsa's grandfather. SO MAYBE thats why Elsa's parent's died

Imagine the first Frozen film was loosely based from The Snow Queen and they were able to branch out from that story in the sequel. I wonder how and what story will it be in the third film if they ever plan on making one.

I don’t think Elsa hearing her mother singing is necessarily a sign her mother is still alive. Attahallan is a repository of memories, since it was calling to Elsa to come to it specifically it would have used a voice from her memory, specifically her mother’s voice. Personally I think if her parents are still alive it would be because the merfolk from The Little Mermaid would have taken pity on them. As others have said the Samantha line was just a bit of improvisation by Olaf’s VA. It could also be an early indicator that the ice making up Olaf contains memories of things he hasn’t experienced, in this case a girl named Samantha.

Lol. I thought the voice was Elsa's own spirit because of the "into the unknown" song. When she says "And ignore your whispers..." she's looking into the mirror. Also, when she says "or are you someone out there who's a little bit like me" she's looking at her reflection in the river. And in the song "show yourself" Elsa asks the voice "Are you the one I've been waiting for all of my life?" And after Iduna's reveal, she seems to be looking at Elsa as she says "You are the one you've been waiting for all of your life". It's as if she is answering her question about the voice And when Elsa tells Anna about the 5th spirit, she says "that's who's been calling me". Then she turns out to be the 5th spirit

The voice is Ahtohallan itself, using Iduna's voice to call out to Elsa so she can embrace her destiny. Why using Iduna's voice? Well, perhaps because she's the one who saved Agnarr, despite his father betraying her people? Ahtohallan, angry because of the treason, gave a chance to Arendellians to make up for the murder because Iduna showed altruism. So, the deity gifted the king and the queen by giving them two daughters : Elsa, with her magical powers, so connected to the Northuldra and the spirits and Anna, an ordinary girl with an extraordinary heart, a princess who loves Arendelle and her sister and would do anything for Elsa and her people. Except from Iduna being Elsa's mother, Ahtohallan using her voice is logical: the Queen of Arendelle is key to understand everything. Without her, no bridge would have ever existed. The fact that when Elsa goes to the heart of Ahtohallan, she sees her mother saving her father confirms this. Iduna and Agnarr are probably dead.

One of the lines in the lullaby that Elsa's mother sang was, don't go to far or you'd be drawnd,witch is kinda what happened to Elsa. All I'm saying is that maybe Elsa's mom was trying to warn her for what's to come.

I think this is something the makers of Frozen missed, They have to make a third Frozen now. They can't just ignore this video.

According to what I have learn about Norse mythology which contains more mention of nok or any of the elemental spirits the water horse that we saw only tries to drown people that have impure heats or are lying to themselves or the people they love it is possible that when we saw the ship goin under in the first movie it was actually the water horse attacking the other sailors who were not pure of heart or had actually been loyal to Agnnar's father to the exclusion that they were not fully loyal to Agnnar it is also possible that Elsa might have misinterpreted what they water memories were telling her because as you stated she only saw part of the story who knows

Elsa and Anna parents weren't frozen they drown at sea the ice statue we saw in frozen two was created by Elsa magic that tap into the memories of the water particles with in the wood of the ship to recreate their parents final moments before they drowned

The way I see it, Elsa died and was resurrected. The rock spirit is not the giant rock people, but a sea creature. We saw that during "Show Yourself," when a magical representation of each element swirled around Elsa, and one was a sea creature like a manatee. I think the Nokk was a guardian of Attahollan and made the storm that shipwrecked Anna and Elsa's parents. I like to believe the theory that the parents survived and had Tarzan. The song Iduna (Elsa's mom) sang to Elsa said, "She [Attahollan] will sing to those who'll hear," and, "Where the North wind meets the sea, there's a mother full of memory." I think Attahollan sings "to those who'll listen) in the voice of the person's mother. Or perhaps when Iduna died from the tiger in Tarzan, then she was able to call to Elsa. At the end of Frozen II, Anna sang that she would "make that choice to hear that voice, and do the next right thing." So Anna decided to become one who'd hear the voice, and now she can hear it too. The voice is sort of a conscience, or God.

Well in a video of the making of Frozen 2 the voice of Olaf said himself that he was given free reins to improv a lot of his lines. He said he improv'd the samantha bit and the director liked it so much that it was left in the final cut. I think that thinking to much into the samantha bit is a stretch since it was just an improv.

Their parents are not likely to have gotten into the chamber of memories, even if they did make it to shore at Atahallan. Anybody else remember the chasm that Elsa created the pillars to jump across? How would the King and Queen have gotten past that? And if Disney did create a 6th spirit, it would have a much more Norwegian name than Samantha.

I agree with a lot of comments here... if u watch the making off it actually mentions that the Samatha part was not scripted but fully improvised... also thinking her parents are alive would mean the scene in the boat makes no sense... it clearly shows their last moment - as Elsa said: I wanna know what happened... I would like to see Elsa maybe find an SO because I kinda feel bad for Anna finding live but Elsa doesn't however I think that Frozen 2 has a pretty great ending and does not need a 3rd part

I agree with Ethan Allen about Samantha. Also, what Olaf next says is that he doesn't even *know* a Samantha. The character (and it could be the actor also) was apparently just calling out names at random, at that point. It's like saying, "Anybody???" We were clearly supposed to get that joke. And, yes, it presumably could have been one of Josh Gad's famous ad libs. He apparently has a lot of them. 😉

The Nokk is actually in mythology and in those myths the nokk is violent like a kelpie or hippocampus and can only be tamed by a bridle of winter and the Nokk was fully calmed by the bridle of winter that Elsa put on him it wasn't instant as he fought it but once the bridle was on and Elsa was able to stay on he was tamed exactly like the mythology of the Nokk

There's another theory that Rapunzel and Elsa are twins, both were spirits that came to earth at the same time, I bet lightning isn't Noc's counterpart, what if it was Rapunzel, and that's when she was stolen and put in the tower (because she'd have been fine jsut being a spirit in existence before, but the tower had a concealment spell on it). Or- Nooc was always ticked, because of the concealment spell on the forest, which kept it separate from Rapunzel the way the fire spirit was ticked it was kept separate from Else.

Just a theory, I don't believe that Nokk was "temporarily tamed." He was calmed, just like all the other spirits, but I think in the next movie they will all try to push Elsa to find the 6th spirit. There is a fragile balance brought by Elsa, but she needs her opposite. Nokk and Bruni and Gale and the Earth giants we're all opposites and the only reason they were off balance is because they were missing the 5th and 6th spirits, and I believe that the other two spirits are born from humans to tether humans and the spirits together. Elsa was the newest 5th spirit and her job was to fix the problems caused by humans and bring balance. However, Samantha?, is the new 6th spirit probably born about the same time as Elsa and coming from another northuldran that escaped the curse of enchanted forest. That means that to truly bring balance, Elsa will have to go find the one that will balance out her powers. Honestly, I hope she ends up falling in love with Samantha, cause it seems like they should be destined for each other.

If Elsa had been the spirit of the element of ice then why was she flesh and blood? According to the claim on which you're basing both this and your previous hypothesis, turning to ice should not have effected her ability to act because ice would have been her natural state.

Am I the only one who think that third part will destroy all. Like always, when something is done only for money. I mean, this two movies are great, they are connected, story is complete and it have great end. Anything more will be too much.

Don't know how likely it is, but it would possibly explain a plot hole from the first Frozen movie. What if Hans's family some how managed to capture 'Samantha', the lightning spirit? Its always struck me as odd how Hans never seemed surprised by the fact that Elsa had magic. He just took it in stride, almost like he's had some experience with magic like that before...

I think that frozen 3 should be brought because it should and would have all the answers we need, as well as the fact that their parents are still alive...

Ok I don't know what anyone else thinks but I believe that the parents of Anna and Elsa drowned at sea and were not frozen the ice sculpture we see in the 2nd film was created by elsa using her powers with the particals of water from the ship to see what happened to them in the final moments before they drowned.

Well ... that "Samantha"-Hint is a bit wanky, because the name is different in every language ... and in german it is "Hildegard" ... and this was always connected to a total different joke. So I'm not quite sure if that part of the theory will add up in the end, but I'm mostly sure about the 6th element.

How would her parents have made it to the chamber???? Unless either one or both had some secret ability similar to Elsa, they wouldn't have found their way or they'd fall to their deaths in the cavern. Nobody else but a spirit with the same nature as Ahtohollen (sorry if I spelt it wrong) could have made it, shown when Elsa made her way inside.

Frozen 1: a frozen heart can't be healed as easily as the brain. And Elsa's heart was quite surely very frozen after discovering what her grandfather had done.

As i see…my theory is that iduna knew it from the start as the poem Elsa was singing in the start of frozen 2 she said "when the north wind and the sea meets There's a mother full of memory" and it actually is there… so most of my theory goes to iduna and agnarr are alive as if only Elsa can enter the mystery forest then how did there ship got there?

I also agree about their parents not having ice powers (and their father has no powers at all, that we know of) and that it isn't likely they'd have survived. Considering all the water *and* the freezing cold temperatures. They're not Elsa, you know. The cold never bothered her anyway.

This won't work. At the end of Frozen 2, Elsa says "Well, actually, bridges have two sides, and our mother had two daughters." One side is Spirit (Elsa) and the other side is human (Anna) That bridge is the bridge between spirit and human. If Anna got powers, it would mess up the whole story line of Frozen 2.

Their parents being frozen doesn’t hold up because Disney has already made it “canon” so to speak that they were shipped wrecked after a storm, had a son, and died. Tarzan is “canonically” their brother unless it’s been taken back by now.

It might not but may be as we are entering the Second Act the Priority of Saving Elsa's and Anna's Parents becomes more important, due to them being the Key with the Help of Elsa to Saving Samantha The Final Spirit so that she could take out and Break the other Curse. And I know this might be Far Fetched for a Disney Princess Film but maybe also have Elsa her Mother and the Final Sprit Team Up and Physically some sort of Big Bad of the Film, and with Hopes of maybe giving a hint of Queen Anna's Child having Powers or Queen Anna her self having Powers but just haven't been activated yet, I don't know about that last part? And that was partly about, or it would be about maybe despite of what happened at the end of Frozen 2 we still have a small Group of People that Still want to Invade Arendelle Mainly for Revenge I guess, but again I'm too sure about that one. Either that or what if they had to Face some kind of Dark Spirit with the Powers to Corrupt People's Minds and Hearts. Who say's that there could be a 7th Secret Sprite of some kind and sort of Break with Real World Mythology for the Sake of a Disney Film. It's not like they Haven't done it before with Mulan.

Light comes from fire. The sun is a ball of fire. You could also say darkness is apart of fire due to the smoke. Making the 4 elements. But there is cases where Metal, wood and stone are refered to there own element. Also you go off the pentagram the first point is Spirit. Then fire, wind earth and water. When Elsa saw the last can also be refered to as spirit of the past, meaning it was memories of her mother voice. Possabily something she once said that triggered a memory when she was a child. Elsa is water. She is just the colder side. So having two types of water balanced things out. Disney bring the girls parents back. Then some fans will want the same in little mermaid. Having Disney princesses with no parents or guardian mentioned after their parents passed. It helps give children in the same situation someone to look up to. So don't think bringing parents back will be a option.

Well this is why I think Elsa froze. She's the embodiment of ice. She fell from a distance onto the ground and started to freeze. This can happen with chilled water, once it falls onto a surface it'll start to freeze. As far as the shipwreck being caused by Nokk: Mmm. Maybe. Don't forget, though, that the writers probably didn't even *know* yet back then that there *was* any such character as Nokk. Technically they didn't necessarily *have* to know, but still. Ethan Allen: As far as what shipwreck is the original poster referring to. In the original Frozen movie, the ship sank, or at least, so we are led to believe. In the sequel, the same ship is later washed up on shore (which to me seems a mite odd if it supposedly sank nowhere near land, but whatever). It does look wrecked, although fortunately not completely destroyed. (Fortunately because it's easier to get clues from in the state that it's in.) As to why the ship was wrecked: The seas in that part of the world are known to be very treacherous (in real life) at certain times of year (such as fall and winter). What I want to know is: Knowing that interesting fact, which they presumably did, why on earth would the parents try to get all the way to Ahtohallen by ship when it turns out that you can get most of the way there by traveling on land? Doesn't completely make sense, but then, a lot of things don't. Evidently, the second movie is trying so hard to give viewers (and the main characters) some closure...that it doesn't mind changing certain things which were presented in the *first* movie...including things which *could* have made the case already seem...closed. Sigh. 😕😞😌😕

First, Samantha is a joke, which debunks half of your theory. Second, Disney doesn’t need to show us their parents death for them to be dead. We saw the ship sink, it’s implied that they died, and dead characters don’t always need to come back.

I think their mom had something to do with Samantha. The scene in part 2 where else momz said "I need to tell you about my past" that might be not just about Elsa and her powers but an explanation for Samantha.

This theory doesn’t really fit. Elsa’s parents can’t embrace on a section of the ship as water is flowing around them and then somehow relocate to another part of the ship. They aren’t alive. I do agree with there possibly being a sixth spirit though. That might be cool and a twist. Don’t know if her name is Samantha though, lol.

I really don't think that the 6th element is Samantha. The 6th element could also be a bridge between the magic of nature and the human realm like Elsa. I think that "Samantha" is just an easter egg. Maybe the third installment will take place in North America this time and the characters' journey to lift the curse of another human with lightning powers (Herobrine). My thought is that maybe the third installment isn't titled Frozen 3, but instead Herobrine: The Ultimate Legend.

Disney has, as I assume we'll made the movie clearly easy to understand, it is our assumption and digging habit, that we make these movies uneasy to understand, it's easy to watch a movie and more better, than to spoil all the happiness that we had in watching it, hopefully all doubts would be cleared for us, in the remaining movies or videos that Disney makes, in which no meddling is required. We should enjoy all movies as they are, instead of confusing everyone and make theories, this as I believe, will make Disney better. We should appreciate the work the franchise has done, It takes immensely hard work to draw every scene that comes in a fraction of second of what we see.

I believe that Elsa only turned to ice because she's like a really cold-water bottle, and when you hit a really cold water bottle it turns to ice, when she fell, she started turning to ice.

In the one seen when Elsa and Anna found there parents ship and when thay are looking at the scroll that said something about Elsa source of magic. What if there was more to it then it seems in the seen Anna point’s out there is some type of strange language. What if the dark sea saved there parents.❄️❄️💕
