In a nutshell, use imap email protocol, it downloads a copy of your email and leaves a copy of the original in the server, in case you need to have access to it. pop3 does not leave a copy of your email in the server, once you download it to your computer, it's gone from the server and if you lose it, then it's lost forever. As the name implies, it helps spread the load of a website or webapp across various servers. This is to prevent anyone server from becoming overloaded trying to handle many requests.
@@TerryBollea1 There are many companies that run data centers. The big tech companies like Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, etc all have their data centers spread across the world. There are also other lesser-known datacenter companies that have their own datacenters across certain parts or regions.
I've had a gmail account for 10 years. They claimed that their spam filter will learn. For 10 years I have marked as "not spam" every email that gmail has put into the spam folder. Their learning algorithm is pretty crap because they still put things in my spam folder. Is there a way to tell gmail to never put email into the spam folder?
@@juanmondragon I get email from people I don't know and I want to see it on my client email on my PC but it doesn't end up there if gmail puts it in the spam folder. I can't trust them before they've ever sent me anything. Is there a way to trust everyone?
Is not the difference also, that POP3 downloads locally and then server deletes email, meanwhile IMAP stores everything on the server, thus everything is synced? Otherwise, thanks for the video!
Sad but these videos are becoming more sponser oriented. Those were the days when we had pure knowledge videos. It not wrong to add sponsers but bringing videos just to promote something degrades the quality.
