Thee more I read of him, the more I like him. I first heard of him as the Central Bank Governor. The changes he made in Central Bank caught my admiration. His stance for truth is the prize he has paid for most of his life. I will continue to pray that God grant him wisdom, mercy, blessings and strength. He is one of the unsung Nigerians we know little of. His warnings of economic decay and incivility several years ago are what Nigeria is seeing today.May he overcome all his persecutions for his stance, in Jesus name, Amen.
The documentary you’re listening to now is not of the present Emir Sanusi but that of his grandfather. Though the present Sanusi made some changes in central bank but the main radical changes in central bank was done by governor Soludo the present Anambra governor. He introduced the amalgamation of banks in Nigeria to avoid bank liquidation and when Soludo took over central bank he continued with Soludo achievements.
Nice documentary. I will advise that your Narrators learn the proper pronunciations of names, titles, and places contained in the script. Its extremely easy to reach out to a native speaker to teach your narrator(s) the proper pronunciation of these names. Great job, nonetheless. I can help with Nupe, Hausa, and Arabic names, if you wish.
@Joe plus ①②①⑨②⑦①②①⓪⑧ what propaganda are u trying to spread, you this guys 🤦🏿♂️, the north should hate Amadu bello or what? Mtchewww you’re obviously copying and pasting this. You post it twice here and pasted it under everyone’s comment clearly 😅 spreading hate
Congratulations to the Emir of Kano HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi for his re-enthronement. He is a leader I like a lot even from his days as CBN Governor. Lessons to learn: 1. Nigerians don't learn from history (or we don't know history at all). All participants of these power plays were affected. This was one of the reasons why January 1966 coup happened. For the coup plotters; deposing, killing or even arresting respected leaders (Sardauna, Tafawa Balewa, Brigadier Mai Malari, Col Pam, Col Kur, Col Abogo Largama etc can lead to violence (counter coup in July 1966 and Civil war in 1967) 2. Our communication and dialogue skills are quite bad and ruling by proxy is still happening in Nigeria (political god fatherism) All couldn't sit down, talk as adults and resolved the issues? Just imagine. Sardauna not communicating well with Prime minister (A big decision like that ought to be discussed at least between Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa not Sardauna imposing decisions on him. The January 1966 coup plotters also mentioned this approach of Sardauna ruling the country and Tafawa Balewa is only occupying the seat. That's why Balewa was not initially planned to be killed. They just needed him to handover to Awolowo after his release from Benin Prison. 3. Nigeria's ruler are too flashy and power drunk. Kilode!!! I hope we can learn a lot from our history and work towards a better country. Well done to this channel. All these are not taught or talked about sef. Some of us know some of our history because we read history books.
Wow. 😮. History repeats itself as his grand son, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was also dealt with the same fate. It seems non conformity and independent mindedness is a living trait in the Sanusi family. 😅. Nice documentary. Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. That's exactly what happened to Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. The power tussle over the Kano emirate isn't over, it would appear.
I hope that our Hausa-Fulanis people's are the ones who are telling our stories because they're the one that knew our original stories and they are able to pronounce the names well.
The little boy being greeted by the Englishman at 9:32 is the grandson of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi who would later grow up to be the 14th Emir of Kano popularly known as Sanusi Lamido Sanusi or officially, Muhammad Sanusi II
@@12345Adekunle who was it then? Please educate us Mr Olayiwola. I see you know much more about Kano history than someone who's actually from the North and was born and brought up in Kano and over and above that is well-learned in Kano and Hausa/Fulani History. I'm keen to hear your response, please! Tell us who the little boy was.
@@BukarAbdu actually that’s not him Sarki Sanusi II at the time Khalifa Sanusi I abdicated was barely a 2 years of age And that picture was probably around 1960-61 before Sardauna and Khalifa started having their problems So in the picture that can’t be Sarki Sanusi II
I understand your logic but the truth is Ahmadu Bello though a visionary leader was a bit undiplomatic with the traditional Northern elite and religious elite and tended to smite them down... That made him exposed, perhaps making the coup plotters think that getting rid of him wouldn't not upset the Northern elite since he was a nuisance to them... With historical hindsight we know that's not the case
Good riddance of Ahmadu Bello, the Original Igbo hater.preferes to Employ Foreigners than Igbo People. For fear of Imaginary Igbo Domination. And Chief anti Christ of the North. I would have killed him myself, if nobody else does. Tufiakwa spits. Rot in Hell. Ahmadu Bello.
@masudsaleh5155please ironsi or nzeogwu though Igbos, were acting in the interest of Igbos, but in their role a Nigerian army and selfish interests. Abacha was kiiillling people for the Fulanis, neither was ibb stealing Nigerian money for Hausas Stop blaming Igbos for the offence of Nigerian military
It's not a Jihad, it's a reform movement. Before the Usman Dan Fodio reform movement Kanem Borno has succeeded in spreading Islam. However, some converts in the Hausa states continue to mix traditional religion with Islam. Hence, the motive for the reform movement; to cleanse the religion.
Those who dethroned Emir Sanusi in the "60s under the influence of power, how long do they lived, do they not died horrific death? Gandollar is toiling that same route now. Long live Emir Sanusu d second
The evil Man is Zik, Who conspire to kill both Northern and Yoruba leaders as well as legends! From then everything in Nigeria changes to bad then to worst as we are experiencing today.
Even if he was great as long as he is Fulani it doesn't count 😂 See the future childrens of Mama Africa Am proud to be a Fulani 😘🇬🇳👌 🛖🐄 Stop the hate and find a solution to your problems
Now history has repeated itself with one of the grand kids of Emir Sanusi, Sanusi Muhammadu Sanusi dethroned for the same act of insubordination to the Governor of Kano state Ganduje.
The failure to apply the laws of power has led many subordinate to a state of quandary and lost of their position..... after the squabble btwn sunusi lamido 1 and Ahmadu Bello that led to his dethronement .. the same scenario hapn to the sunusi lamido II wth governor ganduje... meanwhile both personalities have failed to apply the laws of power which says "never outshine ur master
