its so surreal to watch the team i grew up defending myself for being a fan of being talked about the way the Lions have been talked about by everyone! LFG ONE PRIDE BABY!!!
all 4 teams drafted the best possible players for their biggest weaknesses on their teams. this division looks like the second strongest division on paper
Great quick roundup and breakdown, Bran. NFC North looks really exciting and tight this year. Rooting for Lions in the SB (against my Chiefs going for the three-peat), but Bears should be fun to watch develop. Packers gonna be solid contenders, Vikings? Well, someone has to be last, but at least they won't be terrible. Most exciting and possibly most competitive division in football.
I was an AVID JF1 fan. Hope he's on to bigger and better......my limitless optimism wants me to see Caleb succeed but my realism as a Bears fan keeps me grounded
It’s not just JJ, you’re in a division with the lions with st brown, Jameson Williamson, and Laporte, and if Caleb actually works out well, Kennan Allen, DJ Moore, and Rome odunze, yeah your secondary in that division better be loaded, I’m actually more nervous as a Vikings fan with our somewhat mid secondary. Packers also have maybe not the highest talent at WR but they are young and all seemed to really thrive in that system together last year.
Vikings had everything go against them last year and were a game out of the playoffs. Conversely, the Packers and Lions had everything bounce their way. That never happens in b2b years.
I feel like people overlook the Lions WILDLY over-paying the Cowboys to move up 5 spots in the first... they essentially handed them pick 73, which the Cowboys turned into a starting center. draft capital wise, the Lions overpayed by a late 3rd rounder or early 4th rounder depending on whose value chart you're using EDIT: Since the American education system struggles to teach reading comprehension, I need to add that I'm not knocking the pick or any players on either team, nor am I inferring how the pick will work out. I am strictly saying the draft capital involved was WAY off.
Yeah, but they "overreached" on Jahmyr Gibbs last year and look how that turned out for them. The fact is, the Lions ended up with the best corner in the draft, and they've made it very clear that they prioritize players over picks. Arnold does things other corners in the draft can't do, and that's enough to trade up for him and grab him before the Packers can. Also, the Lions roster was good enough to make the NFC Championship last year, so it's not like they're desperate for talent. Corner was the weakest position and they've made moves on top of moves to strengthen that position.
@@DWargs I'm not knocking the pick. It was a good pick that'll help them pursue a championship. That doesn't change them getting swindled. They missed out on a lot of value... to the extent a late 3rd or early 4th to be specific
But is it overpaying if they're worth it in the end? Cause the browns picked manziel and erving in 2014 and 2015, I much rather would've had Cleveland trade both of those picks for the rams spot to get Donald in 2014. That's 2 first round picks for a single one. But no one on earth would say it was overpaying. It's all hindsight.
@@latherandrinse9645 overpaying is overpaying. You can overpay and have it still work out in your favor. In your example, if both teams knew how Donald would work out, it would've cost a lot more to make that trade. It's exactly why the Pats and Vikings couldn't make a trade for Drake Maye. Pats wanted to trade based on Maye potential value rather than the pick's value. Would you give up 3 first rounders and Justin Jefferson for the number 3 overall pick?? At a fair value, the Lions would not have had to give up on drafting a potential WR2...
Lions are the brand new lions packers are young and only growing better with Jacobs and the bears have a cupcake schedule to start the season giving Caleb Williams and that offense time to gel and develop and the Vikings probably gonna suck but maybe McCarthy can do something with ya know…Justin Jefferson it’s very possible the NFC north looks like the AFC north last season
@@V0RTEX_YTC When they become relevant for more than one season, then they can talk. Right now The Entire NFC North is basically like the cowboys. All talk and no show. OK, will give an extra point for beating the Cowboys, but is that really saying much?
You know that scene in the longest yard when the cop got hit so hard by the inmate he shit himself. That’ll be Caleb when he sees Rashad Gary’s big ass coming at him 😂😂
The fact that the NFC North, aside from the Bears, went so heavy on defense tells me that they looked at what is possibly 3 number 1 WRs and realized what was happening.
The lions will surgically find their way out of the playoffs. They'll do it either before by getting eliminated, or before out by the championship game (like giving up a 17-point halftime lead)
You should have shown the picture of Tom Brady kissing his (teen) son on the cheek whist he is sitting of his lap on a beach chair. Yea, it’s real, search it up
I'm a Vikings fan and I think da Bears will be dangerous. They will have a great QB & WR under rookie deals and can spend elsewhere to help them out. For the Lions, it could be the 50s again when they won 3 titles. The Packers... I don't talk about Satan in Green & Yellow. Yes, I stole that from Tom Grossi.
😂😂 yes but it has been proven that putting a rookie qb into the starting job immediately does not work with some exceptions but the lions will be scary (can’t believe I’m saying that) but the Vikings d-line will be unstoppable. I’m not worried about the packers either lol
Big problem with the bears tho what did they do to help their defense they could have added some people to their defense but they didn't and as the old saying says defense wins championships
@@t_leish yeah but their defense is young with the exception of S and they started gelling real well in the 2nd half of last season. They have 3 players that are on 2nd contract. It'll be good. And poles will make moves when needed
@@lunarumbreon7699He hasn't even taken a snap in the league yet. Mentioning him in the same sentence as Brady is completely ridiculous. He'll be a backup journeyman in 4 years.
@@jeffreyval9665 how do you know he’ll be a backup? In no way did he say he was as good as Brady. He said Brady did some fruity shit and that didn’t stop him from being one of the greatest QBs of all time. Also wild how you think he’s gay
