Perfect analogy! Also, if you ever watch Star Wars, start with the prequels. You can skip over the tie-in stories (with the exception of Rouge One) and sequels. But, you will not be disappointed 🤩😅
Leicester City reference seen and appreciated. That was the most out-of-nowhere run I’ve ever seen. They were incredible for one year, went back to being mid, and I think they’re relegated this year. They’ll always have that one run though.
Leicester fan here - one incredible season, another 3/4 impressive, then Covid meant the owners had no income to give the team, hence relegation because money talks in the Prem. The squad spending most of this season playing like a pack of feral r*tards didn't help of course
Your Panthers recap at the very end gave me life. You actually did your homework on this coaching staff. And aside from the names you mentioned, Chris Tabor joined our staff last year and took our special teams from 31st in the league to 4th with zero personnel change, and James Campen did the same and turned the worst offensive line in the league to a top 8 unit with only one homegrown addition: Ikem Ekwonu, who after getting son'd by Myles Garrett in week 1, became god at left tackle. Those were the only two Rhule holdovers, and it's because they're some of the best position coaches in the league at what they do, and were just suffocated under the crushing mediocrity that Rhule brought in everywhere else.
Yes and no on James Campen. We replaced 3 of 5 on the Oline for him so a little different than Tabor but still impressive since they were the only Oline to not change till like week 17. We got cobert and Bozeman in Free agency last year.
I think Ejiro Evero has a very bright future in this league as a Broncos fan. I'm happy with VJ as DC this season but I still think I'd prefer keeping Ejiro. Only issue I see there, and maybe part of why we moved on is, I think he could be a NFL HC for another team before Sean Peyton's contract with the Broncos is over. Perhaps he is the future of the Panthers.
The fact that the Vanilla Vick name for Daniel Jones has managed to become relevant enough for Brandon to say it means we need to give more credit to Bengal for his ability as a content creator. I love the Vanilla Vick nickname.
Bengal literally has twice the subs as Bran. Love Bengal as a content creator, but Danny Dimes is definitely the more commonly used nick-name (And works better because comparing DJ to Vick is insane)
Bruh that coaching staff is elite like at the very least the names of each coach sounds vaguely familiar, which is much better than other teams can say
thank you, op (from a commanders fan)! thanks to eric bieniemy’s hopefully stellar coaching, either sam howell develops into a beast or jacoby brissett becomes geno’s doppelganger - in the first year after dan snyder sells the team, of all situations. as hulk once said, “i see this as an absolute win!”
How do you not have millions of subscribers? You are the funniest sports commentator with the most intelligent ideas. Thank you for being so entertaining.
As a Lions fan, I can confirm that all we want is a playoff win. Super Bowl would obviously be nice, but we just want that one special W in the playoffs that we so desperately crave
As a Cowboys fan, I... can relate.... At least we got one this last year. Against Brady no less! And yes, Im sure that's dead horse has been beaten pretty good since it happened, but I'm taking what I can get here. Watching a routinely 10+ win team fall apart in the Wild Card round every year is fucking painful, especially when you know full well they can do so much better, yet never do. They'll dominate the regular season, go nuclear some games on so poor team (sorry Colts...), and then just shit the bed. I just want to see the Cowboys make it one year, kick some ass, and maybe win a SB. I'd even settle for just making it and losing gracefully. That's all I want out of them. But, no... The team that dominated the 90s with 3 SBs cant make it past the fucking Divisional round. And all that shit happened _just_ before I was born so I didnt get to see any of it outside of old youtube videos. Anyways, I hope you guys get one pretty soon. Lord knows the Lions have played hard enough to earn it twice over.
@@yom0msfat Our division isn't usually the problem. We are almost always at least in contention and either win it, or do well enough for a wildcard spot. Problem is, when the playoffs start, we fold almost immediately.
@@imapopo2924ay man I’m a Chicagoan born 2002 who didn’t care about my teams sports til last year I got to touch the Stanley cup as a kid when the Blackhawks won it one of the three times last decade and I didn’t understand how lucky I was 😭
Thanks for bringing up the Panther's coaching staff. I had no idea that many recognizable names were working there. Definitely built an attractive place for young players to learn.
MOAR content, Bran. MOOOOOAR! Tom Grossi is currently in the process of outgrowing RU-vid, and you’re the top of the “new class” of NFL RU-vidrs. There are some fantastic, unique NEWER channels that manage to feel fresh while covering a topic thats flogged to death on this platform daily. Hourly. You’ve got what it takes to blow up on this platform. I’m rooting for you.
As a bears fan, great coverage and I do think we'll look a lot better this year. One thing: TJ Edwards was a free agency acquisition, not a trade. We only had one notable trade, and that was the no1 overall pick (and a few trade backs in the draft as well)
@@benchwarmerbran wooo you made my day responding to this lol. Me and my dad love your videos But yeah, I agree Chicago looks better this year than they have since... I can't remember haha
I love the hawks take, and emotionally broken was an understatement of the fanbase, not just after the super bowl, but also when they made the most 0IQ move ever and not give Marshawn the ball
Philidelphia Eagles 0:16 Dallas Cowboys 1:06 New York Giants 1:50 Washington Commanders 2:40 San Francisco 49ers 3:34 Seattle Seahawks 4:18 Los Angeles Rams 5:07 Arizona Cardinals 5:55 Minnesota Vikings 6:40 Detroit Lions 7:35 Green Bay Packers 8:33 Chicago Bears 9:22 Atlanta Falcons 10:14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 11:18 New Orleans Saints 12:18 Carolina Panthers 13:13
As a falcons fan nailed it 10/10. Also thank you for acknowledging all the work Atlanta has put in and not just roasting the Bijan pick. Now let's get Pitts involved 😂
Poor San Fran, if only they traded for Taysom Hill and had his actual ability to throw the ball entirely competently they'd have had a very real chance of winning the big one. I love CMC but he's not really a QB, even a 4th string one, which he showed everyone... but having Hill on the team would have meant that after Purdy went down they simply slide Hill into the QB spot and give someone else whatever position he was filling in on because the dude basically can play any position that doesn't require you to be north of 275.
They should go sign Matt Ryan he was a MVP QB in Kyles offense and never gets hurt him being 7th all time in passing yards and 9th all time in passing TDs doesn't hurt either this mans been sacked 488 times which is 8th all time an he's never been seriously injured ... He wouldn't be the starter because San Fransico shouldn't need to go find a starter but he'd be a damn good option coming off the bench
As much as I would love for my Lions to make it to the big game, I have been let down far too many times to be that optimistic. I do think they have a very good chance to win the division.
They are my favorite NFC team, as a Bengals fan growing up with disappointment made me appreciate the underdog and the Lions started in Portsmouth,Ohio and I love Appalachian Ohio so I look at them like the football son who was adopted by the motor city and I'm proud of Lions fans who have stuck with it
As a Cardinals fan, the only way we’re winning the Super Bowl is if they make rules changes to where only the cardinals can score after the 1st quarter and we still might lose then too
What a lot of people might not know it's that Frank Reich played fire the Panthers in what i believe was their inaugural season. On that team, he backed up the starting quarterback that played for his rival high school, well one of them
As a Vikings fan, I'm still recovering from last season. 11 games being one score wins. 3 blowout losses. I just want two things this season. An offense that will score lots of points and not fold against top teams like the Eagles, Niners, Chiefs, and Bengals. And a defense that won't let QB's like Daniel Jones, Jared Goff, Mike White, and Mac Jones look like top level QB's. Do I see that happening this season? Not really.
As a Falcons fan, I am very excited to see how we'll be this season, but very nervous about Ridder. From a defense standpoint, we made, in my opinion, some of the best moves out there. Offensive, the gamble is Ridder and if we can FINALLY use Pitts as he should!
Personal thought, we shoulda grabbed a different quarterback. Desmond ridder just isn’t a cali bet qb from what I’ve seen. The man played well in college but as a college athlete the competition outside of my conference(sec) just isn’t the same. His last year he only had one true competition and it was slowly declining alabama football team. Unless he proves me wrong this year, I think we trade him to a different team and gamble up to a better first rounder
Give dude a break he's only started 4 games Auther Smith is a moron for allowing Mariota to be absolute trash and get away with it last year anyone who says Ridder isn't a good NFL QB at this point is stupid as hell he's only thrown 115 NFL passes he throws around 63% hasn't thrown a pick yet hell 700 yards in you're first 4 NFL games ain't bad he hasn't done anything wrong to have people doubting him yet
As a Lions fan, I’m glad you’re not truly shit-talking the whole Jameson Williams situation like most clickbait news reporters are to get paid. That makes me happy. Do I think they have a chance to be in the Super Bowl? Yes. I give it a 45% chance of happening. I’d go as far as saying they have a 60% chance to go to the NFC Championship. And to be honest. I just think they’re that good. You get them to the NFC championship game and they’re playing with house money at that point. Not because most true analysts can’t see it happening. But because that’s as far a the NFL’s had the Lions go. So yeah. Go lions. And FTP!
“CJ Stroud probably has to have the best rookie QB season of all time” Well this aged perfectly with him having the best rookie season of all time DONT @ me.
The Dirty Birds take it home this year 100%. The NFC South is so winnable this year, Atlanta goes into the playoffs with little to no injuries and rocks it at home all the way up to the big game and we take it all this year. We just need the Kyle Pitts intervention and we got this in the bag.
No just no random pieces on defense doesn't equal a good defense and the offense is more likely to be terrible than anything questionable qb unproven rb and one good te taking what? Ls?
@claudewillis234 They took the defensive coach from the Saints...and some of the better players from better defensive teams last year (Saints, Bengals, Ravens, Titans). All ik is that it's nearly impossible to be worse than last year on defense
@greencat1849 bro onyemata and Ellis were mid that's why they let them go without even an offer we were terrible against the run because of our line and we struggled to put pressure on qb on passing downs they not good that's why no one from our line last year is back and again adding random pieces don't make the defense good the scheme doesn't fit bates and Terrells style in the slightest the front 8 might be good but that's it and add an iffy offense yall literally will have the same record plus or minus 1 game
@@claudewillis234 1. Did you see our defense last year??? Shit was awful, with an awful QB, with an awful explosive play ability, and still managed 7-10. Doesn't matter how "mid" you want to call those players, they are automatically a top 5 player on our team now and will help our team win more games than the practice squad players last year. 2. Grady had play limitations, and Terell was hurt most of the year...still went 7-10. The 2 best defensive players you mentioned weren't on the field the majority of the time. 3. Now Pitts is back healthy, now we have Bijan, now we have a QB that has only looked better as time passes (still has a lot to prove tbf), now we know what London and this OL can be. The offense will be scary and much more explosive. So if you think the team with the easiest schedule in NFL is going to only have a 1 game difference from last year...talk to me when playoffs start.
I always thought that the Vikings the past year, our offense was really good, probably a top 6 in NFC maybe (just saying the offense was mostly great and not really a problem) but the problem obviously was the defense. Lot of people know that, but thing is, they could've made a run in the playoffs if their defense was lot better as the offense was great to go far. I feel people don't credit their offense as much as while it's not top 3 NFC, it's probably top 6 NFC.
@XCodes I have seen that, I was going to correct myself, saying it's actually not a lot as offense isn't getting enough credit. In honesty, Kirk is getting too much hate, I feel he improved this past season, even a little.
It's easier to build a winner with a rookie contract yes, but since 2010, 9 out of 13 Super Bowls have been won by QBs NOT on their rookie contracts, including the last 3 in a row. Just takes good GMs, and maybe a hall of fame QB happening to decide to go to the #1 defense the previous year oin free agency with elite receivers and a great offensive coach.
As a giants fan Darren waller Isaiah Hodgins and Jalin Hyatt will help Daniel with yards and tds and r defense is looking good with a great coaching staff but again as a giants fan I can’t get my hopes up
It’s hard to get our hopes up but I’ll tell you what, I’m 20 years old and the giants went to and won their first playoff game since I was in middle school, that was an incredible feeling after like 5-6 years
No. As ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bWtOhyyv7ak.html shows, Jones *already **_has_* receivers who get wide open (15 minutes in). The problems are that he doesn't throw to them, & that when he does, he still misses them on easy plays. While I feel certain that him running more _is_ Daboll telling him to Run With Confidence instead of flailing with doubt like he used to, Daboll didn't call pass plays to have Jones whiff. It's kind of moot, you're not taking the East, & even if Jones does his best, what's his ceiling? So far, not Turning Over The Ball. He's _gotta do_ more than that.
Give the rams the benefit of a doubt, they didn’t have much cap space this year but have a whole lot next year. So if the rams can have solid season this year imagine what they can have with 60 million in cap space next years.
@@shavedwookie699 they kinda have to have a 1st to replace any of the vet stars the are going to retire. But the point of fuck dem picks is "we have the right pieces to get to the super bowl but we want to win it now
Danniel Jones doesnt have to become incredible in order for the giants to be good, he just has to not suck. Now if they want to go anywhere, then yes, he has to get a lot more impressive.
The injuries on the Seahawks defense are just... c'mon. We actually addressed defense in the draft and a ton of players get injured. The offense looks extremely promising and Geno has a plethora of weapons. I'm really hoping the defense, both the front seven and the secondary, can be effective and stay healthy this season. I'm tired of watching such ineffective defensive football in Seattle, especially after the Legion of Boom Era.
I want the Lions to be really good and I also want the Packers to suck just because it would be funny and also the bears need to be good because I really want the Packers fans to hurt.
I’m a bears fan and I want the lions to have a good team for once I think their gonna lead the nfc north with a 11-6 record with the bears maybe making number 7 at 9-8 then Vikings being 8-9 then the packers at 7-10 hope that’s realistic but I think packers and Vikings fans can deal with the pain that the bears and lions have dealt with for a while
LMAOO I lost it when you said just imagine if the commanders win the Super Bowl right after Dan Snyder leaves. That would be GOLD lol. My life would be complete if the commanders make it to the Super Bowl, they don’t even have to win😭
@@falsestartfalconlol falcons fans crack me up. Y'all can be given the most reasonable arguments and y'all will still just repeat yourselves. No wonder the 28 point drop happened.
I just want to remind everyone, Kyle Pitts was drafted and got his 1,000 relieving yards rookie year under this coaching staff. It’s not like they don’t know how to use him, he just had a rough year last year.
I expect the Eagles to do terrible. One time the Panthers lost in a super bowl that was VERY similar to this past one, and they didn't even make the playoffs the year after.
You wrong about the Rams they need their Oline to stay healthy. They have over a 11 different Oline combinations in their first 11 games. If they can stay healthy and protect Stafford then we have a good chance of winning the division
Eagles fan here. You're right ab the defense, but I'd encourage you to look at Jalen's cap hits on his contract. The number that was reported isn't really what he is getting paid. Its basically a time bomb that we will either defuse in a few years by negotiating another extension or let go off and have disgusting cap hits in 2026 and 2027
As a Vikings fan remembering past field goals luck isn’t our thing when it comes down to playoffs we will be really good in regular season but if we can’t have prime time Kirk we’re done
It hurts my soul as an Eagles fan to see Duce Staley, Frank Reich and even Josh Mccown who had a legendary gutsy performance at 60 years old for the Eagles, on a coaching staff that isn't in Philly. That's not even mentioning all the former Eagles on the actual roster. It's honestly a bit weird.
Personally I would have hired Jim Caldwell over Frank Reich if I was calling the shots for the Panthers. Caldwell never got a fair shake after that bogus call that cost the Lions the playoff game vs Dallas.
I dunno how you did it but you got me hype up for about 30 seconds listening to you give the Bucs a positive outlook and making me believe in Baker! Reality settled in tho and expedition went down but man, you know how to fire up any franchise into thinking they got it figured out!!!
TJ Edwards was a free agent signing (in fact, it was Chicago's first one on the first day that Free Agency opened on March 3rd).. He was NOT a trade acquisition like you said. I also find it weird that you had nothing Direct to say about Fields merely talking around him by talking about Moore and the career arc of QBs with similar WR acquisitions. Like, are we not gonna talk about Fields being 40 yards away from breaking Lamar's single season record and the fact that his OL was revamped with 4 new starters or moved around. Or that they have new RBs (four new ones actually), and that their DBs look promising along with their LBs.
I feel like Dak has a hero ball complex. I’m not a Cowboys fan, but it was really frustrating to watch him just chuck deep balls late in the 49ers game even though there was plenty of time to March down the field deliberately with the short passing game.
You must really love the AFC. I thought you forgot about the NFC. No amazing job as usual. You're MKN awesome with your content. Especially in the offseason. #TheNewDetroitLions
