It is a request please, put a request to the health minister so that this test is available in govt hospital for all the women in india(rural and urban)

That's his point, it should be a step taken by the govt. making it more easily available and affordable, for everyone adult/pre-teen/teenager female when she starts menstruating.
I think that's what his point is, that it should be initiated by the govt. for making it mandatory, at the same time affordable and easily accessible for every adult/pre-teen/teenager female.
These tests somewhere costs between 20k-30k. Trust me I have worked for 3 years in Oncology, and we literally begged the patients to do this tests so that their generation doesn't suffer but the patients didn't care, later on we made it compulsory for every patient because there were treatment options depending upon the results. And also what he said about the IVF patient it's true, we also had a patient who got pregnant through IVF but after 2 months of conceiving she got a lump in breast and unfortunately unfortunately to get treated her breast cancer she had to abort her child😢
Hey there! Doc here. There are certain kinds of breast cancer, including the one associated with BRCA1/2 type. But fertility treatments can not actually lead to the brca1 type breast cancer because this type is hormonal negative. There are certain hormonal types of breast cancer called as ER(estrogen)/PR(progesterone) kind which may slightly be associated with hormonal treatment but again not many studies have been able to derive a clear correlation. As far as brca1 testing is concerned if any close family members have had breast cancer, its a good idea to get this gene tested. But whats more important is Self Breast Examination and annual USG/Mammogram.
Hii doc I have lump on Breast got it tested by surgeon and reports. They were like it's normal lump, but something in me is soooo scared, I also gained weight and size up there
Exactly. As a doctor, I don’t understand why he’s spreading misinformation. This needs to be taken down. He’s a nutritionist and why would he give this advice, that not even an oncologist gives for routine investigations?
Eat healthy.. avoid sugary/ fast foods.. do yoga/ hiit/ swimming/ running atleast 30 mins.. take 8 hours sleep everyday... make it a routine and it'll make your most of the health issues vanish... nowadays understanding what to do and what not to is getting so much difficult.. but fix your routine as early as possible.. its simple as that....
Had a distant realtive. Was a mountain guide in Switzerland.Very active and healthy lifestyle as his wife is an orthopedic surgeon.Still passed away with cancer. Was French so ate healthy. His younger brother very active and healthy has had his cancer return again now at the age of 50.( after 10 years.) Lives in France so not like it's polluted etc like India.Has always ate healthy.Menwhile my aunt and her sister both don't have cancer. My aunts the oldest and 75.She wasn't very active except of course daily walks as she lived in Europe too.Still consumes one too many sweets every day.Been spending 6 maths in India for last 16 years.Food and water arent very clean but she's fine.Their mother had breat cancerHerbrother was part of research program in France regarding if heredity or environment or what played a part. Results were inconclusive.
@@alishashenoy sure many diseases including diabetes cancer hormonal imbalances are hereditary but like in my family nobody had/died of these serious diseases. but i can introduce it because of my unhealthy lifestyle. which will affect my future generations. getting everything tested is impossible and confusing so better live a healthy routine
As a doctor I can say that everyone does not get breast cancer due to fertility treatments, the cheapest best way to know if you are susceptible to breast cancer is to know if your mother or grandmother or great grandmother both in your maternal and paternal side had any history of breast cancer or lumps. And obviously the gold standard is brca1 and 2. Even men can have braca 1 and 2 but that can manifest as colon or prostate cancer but that’s rare .mutation in brca1 and 2 can also put u to risk of ovarian cancer. I think he is trying to point out at hyper estrogenic state in women .Hyper estrogenic state doesn’t mean automatically breast cancer it’s not that simple. Obese women or women with PCos or metabolic syndrome have higher oestrogen but that doesn’t mean they automatically have breast cancer . Does obesity predispose ones to cancer ? Yes it does but it’s not always the cause . Jeera may have phytoestrogens but so does soya bean and many other foods but u have to consume in enormous ginormous quantities to even be affected by it . Even pear releases formaldehyde in smaller concentrations but that doesn’t means we are dyeing by eating it . Lactating women can also get breast cancer infact they have higher chances of getting breast cancer than by eating jeera or soya bean (almost 7 to 10 percent) but that doesn’t stop women from getting pregnant or breast feeding . ( inflammatory breast cancer) No disrespect to mr rayan he must be really intelligent and smart in his field but that’s fear mongering . There are way more advanced fertility options now as science progresses . So many women despite conceiving or being skinny naturally still get breast cancer . Simplest solution is cancer screening for cancer markers and mamography if needed. Self breast examination and lymph node examination you can learn from RU-vid to evaluate your status . That’s absolutely free and u can always visit a doctor if u feel anything abnormal. Breast cancer will show puckering, orange peel like appearance , redness and a very hard stony lump . You can always talk to your gynaecologist or get multiple opinion before going through any fertility treatment IF U have any doubts , they also have their own dietitians. Avoid taking generalist opinions on such sensitive matters as it may not apply to you.
Yes this last thing that was said is true because one of my aunts got the fertility treatment and after that she got brest cancer..... Unfortunately we could not save her...... So people please be mindful of the actions and your words for the ladies who cant conceive ...... Its better to adopt a Child who has been waiting for love rather than putting a woman and her loved ones in a situation where it is just painful for her and others
Welcome to the world where women's health is still not a priority even pads are expensive can't expect this to be cheap... Abortion techniques look soo mediaeval... PPL really don't be giving a fck abt women
Yeah this is absolutely true, my dietician suggested to me to take fennel and jeera water daily, as a result I had a high level of estrogen which produced more complications because I was in my postpartum period.
Doctor here,no need for routine screening of brca 1 and 2,only to be done in high risk cases. All you can do at maximum is self inspection for any mass in breast and imaging after 30myears.Plz stop listening to influencers
That's what I always say. Why become a mother at such a heavy cost??? I've worked as a pharmacist in an ivf clinic. I would never recommend anyone to do that. You inject yourself with so many substances, it's bound to cause some reaction or the other
No, it is needed only with people with familial cases of breast cancer, its very expensive.eg angelina jolies mother died due to it. For other people regular mammogram should be done. Awareness is needed , but this test is not needed for every one. General surgeon at govt hospital can help you
Not only Breast and ovarian cancer … I’ve like treatments can lead to number of side and after effects in human body.. which may or may not related to gene makeup 😢
Estrogen is an umbrella term for Estradiol, Estrogen and Estrone Cumin does not contain phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring plant compounds that are similar in structure and function to the hormone estrogen. They are primarily found in soy products, flaxseeds, and some legumes
Hey, another doc here. According to the guidelines, brca gene studies need to be done only if there is a family history and if there is suspicion of a mass on USG OR MAMMOGRAM. And a lot of times it isn't sensitive enough as a test. Tired of having to clarify things said by people who are nutritionists and do not have a doctor's degree..
Apart from this, mandatory mammograms after age of 40 /42 yrs is necessary! My mom has stage 4 breast cancer which is not due to braca1 braca2. It is due to check2 mutation and is er+pr+her? Type cancer
Ok so i took like 3 injections to prevent/ fight against cancer if i ever have one. That was definitely before my periods started. I had no idea what that was until today but my mother said its necessary n one of my friend was talking about that in somewhat 9th grade n all the girls laughed at her saying who does that in advance. But now i have no idea if those injections is all i need or i need to have a test or something i still dont understand what that is
The injections you had were probably against HPV.,which protects you against cervical cancer. In the podcast they are talking about breast cancer, which can be prevented by BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 testing. Hope it helps with your concern.
Gardasil 9, it's protective against HPV which causes 99% cases of Cervical Cancer. Although it helps reduce the chances, even a vaccine doesn't give 100% protection against cervical cancer.
Brca1/2 are the most important genes involved in dna repair mechanism. Any mutation in these genes can lead to cancer. Barca is expresssed in alveolar and ductal epithelial cells of the mammary gland. So in breast cancer we see brca1/2 mutated genes
I want to know the truth of HPV for cervical cancer is it absolutely needed or is it another gimmick? I see UHO videos saying it does more harm than good. Has there been enough research on this? Make a video on this pls
Not really fully true. Even if you have healthy food and fruits, these too are laden with pesticides, chemical fertilizers, etc due to extreme subsidies on these. Plus all these harmful chemicals in the air and water. Worse if you are a non vegetarian as it was recently found how poultry and cattle are pumped with anti biotics and other drugs that are only advised in serious cases, every two days since their birth, for better output.
And then Kachrawood is constantly promoting absolutely dangerous foods for char ana. They sell their fans to corporations so cheap. And people still c them as gods 🤦♀️
It's not at all necessary for every girl to undergo genetic testing for BRCA. Read medical literature first before making such vague comment on social media. We are in India.
As I am oncologist, Guidelines only recommended BRCA1/2 for pt who have postive family h/o breast, ovary ,colon and pancreatic cancers. He is conveying wrong message In India , it is cost approximately 25-30 k. Most of the Indian middle class average monthly income is below 30 k.
Estrogen and progesterone are fertility molecules in women just like man has testosterone so that's what he was referring to that jeera water has high estrogen and can create blood clotting but mostly its from gene but yeah if you have money you can test
If you were to read more (actual textbooks) on any of the topics he talks about, you’ll discover he’s talking sheer nonsense. This test is not routinely done and is very expensive
I started drinking soaked coriander water tp control thyroid but my cycle got delayed for 20 days. It does impact the boady in different way also than we expect it to.
Celebrities have much better lifestyle than ours they eat better, they go to gym regularly, they do yoga, they dont have sedentry life yet hina khan is diagnosed at 36 like its so sad
It does not depend on eating better or going to gym. Only thing that matters is whether you have that tendency of developing the disease in you. For identifying it, this test should be done
Not all cancers are hereditary... Stress and sedentary lifestyle are leading causes of these chronic diseases, this puts our system in fight or flight mode all the time... Before the 90s cancer wasn't as common as it is today. As long as these tests are concerned, they are inconclusive quite often, not to mention but they really expensive as well😢.
I don’t remember both my granies do any test, any medication or any vaccinations 🧐 they were very healthy and gave birth to 7/8 kids. There is no end if one thinks hospital/ tests/ medication is the only way. In our culture they said Fasting is the best medicine. Are we doing that in This generation?? Life style changes have to happen before thinking of any tests or medications. Otherwise no dr can help in any way. It can only be a superficial solution. Long run does more damage. One has look into their routine how are we taking care of our bodies. We take much care about materials we acquire. But ignore our body. The food we consume, the timings we follow, the words we utter, the emotions we develop all these play a major role. What has been done about that. I urge everyone to look and retrospect in this regard and do the necessary correction. This is the first step to any health care solutions. ❤
Go to doctor get your hormones levels tested!! Then see what food herbs you eat is increasing what hormoon. Jira increase estrogen. So if your estrogenlevels is already high DONOT EAT ALOT OF JIRA
I was honestly thinking that every recent woman I knew with a history of breast cancer was pregnant at a given point. I was thinking that pregnancy triggered the cancer ?
@@zainayan3502 mammogram checks if there is a cancer or not. Gene testing checks the possibility of getting breast cancer. Both are very different thing
@@zainayan3502 but as per my knowledge mammograms can increase the chances of breast cancer by around 2% to 3%. It's not recommended for younger women unless and until if it's serious.
BRCA gene testing is extremely expensive... We can't afford basic healthcare in India, who will afford such testing... Besides, no one in India is going to get a prophylactic breast removal if they get a positive result... Don't spew non-sense from random google searches... 1. See a doctor if you have breast cancer in your 1st degree relative for screening frequency and general advice 2. Self breast exam once every week after the age of 30 3. Routine regular scan for screening after the age of 35 This is what you would have to do if BRCA found to be positive anyway
Sir I want to consult with him. I am suffering from pcod thyroid fatty liver i feel I am losing my life can someone tell me how can I reach him ..I have consulted with many doctors but I have no solution yet 😢
have soaked nuts, seeds and protein in morning. For lunch start with salad cucumber carrots and then only 1 roti and 2 katori sabji or you can have millet. Have dinner in evening 6.. have only salad and soup have onion. Some days you can skip dinner. Keep atleast 14hrs of gap in dinner and morning breakfast. Cut down completely on sugar, jaggery, honey in any form. No packed food no milk. Have home made curd while lunch and have home made paneer. Have healthy cholesterol like nuts, groundnuts ghee
So it costs around 30k to get one blood sample to go through sequencing array, a person on avg , in this a woman earning around 2lacs per month around can afford it easily unless they're with children, children are expensive, but the average woman earns around 15k to 30k per month, which includes earners in tier 2 and tier 3 cities , heck even the lab techs would do the blood assay wont be able to afford the test.
Please don’t spread false information.. only self breast examination is recommended and only in family history of breast ca screening with usg or mammogram is recommended. Tu nutritionist se doctor kab ban Gaya I don’t get it . Calaorie counting tak raho tum bas .
Exactly. As a doctor, I don’t like the fact that this misinformation reached so many people who prolly just want to get this done now. I strongly believe he’s being sponsored by some pharma company.
He's saying that some people who are pre-disposed to the risk of developing cancer, due to a mutation in the BRCA1/2 gene, need to be more careful about the food products they consume which could alter the estrogen/progesterone levels in their body. So basically, if they are aware of their genetic makeup, accordingly they can decide what food items to limit.
