Don't visit. It is basically a North Korea that tries to show it self in best ways and hiding the secrets. There is like corrupted President. I don't really recommend that country. I live in Kazakhstan and in my opinion it's really corrupted country.

Thanks for the video! 😘 😘 I study in Kazakhstan and with Euros from Germany one can live and travel relatively well here. ✌🏻 But as a student I am often surprised by the prices of food and clothing, some of which are more expensive than in Germany. 😅 This is probably due to the import costs.
You do a fantastic job of breaking down prices, which is really useful. I left three years ago, and by then, boutique hotels were popping up all over Almaty for around 5,000 tenge. These aren't fancy, but generally clean. If you want to spend more, one thing this part of the world really has going for it in its hotels are beautiful swimming pools with banyas (saunas) and often jacuzzis as well. They tend to be designed with a kind of an ancient Greek motif or something like that. Even though we lived there, we would go to nice hotels to escape the cold for awhile every winter. There is even a large indoor waterpark inside of a shopping mall called Aport, when you are on your way west, outside of the city. The waterpark has a modern fitness club in it. I joined the gym and got full access to the waterpark.

I live in a small city near Astana, prices are the same, but salaries are 4-5 times less. Paradox. Corruption and lack of smart people is a plague of Kazakhstan.

The most expensive is gourmet in essentay mall, almaty. Galmart, interfood, vkusmart and a couple of other chains are very expensive, too, though cheaper than gourmet. A normal supermarket is like "small".

And everything he showed in “expensive “ restaurant are not actually expensive- it is also average u can encounter here in Almaty. The sushi up to 15 dollars are not that expensive as the author showed. Probably,he hadn’t been in expensive places of Almaty. I don’t know about Astana.
Henry Mercado that’s only about lead parts of Almaty and Nursultan. Everything further those two are not that great. Mostly because of the climate, that does not give an ability to built new things. It can go from +40 to -40 easily. That’s why if you’ll ever visit Kazakhstan, don’t do that in summer or in winter, or, at least buy a nice sunscreen (which will be really needed at winter as well) or a nice warm coat :)
I lived in Malaysia for almost 36 years. I found that the salary rate in Kazakhstan is lower than Malaysia and food prices are about the same. Public transport in Malaysia avg £1.47 per 4km for taxis or e-hailing services (Grab) and £0.18 per 4km for buses and subways. But for accommodation and alcohol Kazakhstan is much cheaper, I mean, too cheap compared to the price in Malaysia. You could get SIM cards in Malaysia for £5.50 and you’ll enjoy unlimited data usage with internet speed up to 6 Mbps for 30 days.
So sad that most people don’t get a chance to visit this lovely country! 🇰🇿 Hope you spent a wonderful time over here and your stay was enjoyable. Prices in Kazakhstan are not that expensive or outrageous. For foreigners it is pretty affordable to travel with a minimum budget even though kazakh citizens struggle with being able to pay for travel costs around the country.

In Kasachstan you can eat a burger with "marble" meat for only 3-5 dollars. There is a nice aquapark in Almaty and many restaurant with amazing cuisine(Kazakh, Russian, Italian, etc.).
Helloooo, I WORK JUST IN FRONT OF KAPSULA HOTEL, the entrance to my office is at the same point as the entrance of the hotel, but in front of that, and I always grab some food from GALOMART almost every day, so it is so interesting to watch the video and welcome!!!!
The average salary in KZ is approximately 100000 tenge. The prices are not so low as you think with such wages. People can't even afford to go to the cafe once a week. It' s only enough for living, that's why our cafes are empty in a daytime.

Ok, foreigners, if I really want to visit Kazakhstan, most of the transport price is high, because a local taxi drivers will understand that you are not local and raise the price . So, actually like 30% or even 50% cheeper for local . So, it will be good for you, to have a local acquainted person.
