And then two to three years later, you're at your job, clients have all been annoying the entire day, you've got multiple problems at home, you're tired like hell but you're there until 8pm so you just clean up the store with clients in the middle of it, over and over again until your team closes the store. You see her with a friend. Then she sees you and unlike what you expect, she's super happy to see you, has a bright smile, asks you many questions to know how you're doing and even calls you sweetie. You don't really understand since the last time you two talked, she made it clear she didn't want to speak to you again but here she's super happy and excited to see you. Five months later, she comes back to buy something alone this time, sees you and is once again happy to see you, calls you sweetie and her smile looks like heaven. Both times you can't talk because you're working and tons of clients are waiting in line so you can only talk for a minute or two before she disappears. And because you don't have her number anymore and have nearly zero social media and since then, you don't know where she is or even if she's still in the same city. And as of today, it's been months. And whereas you managed to, well, not forget her cause she's impossible to forget and she was one of the most important persons you ever met, you still managed to kind of let go even if you'll regret that mistake forever. But seeing her again and happy to see you at that revived all those good memories and your feelings of failure. And you're just there, writing a comment about how you had one of the most amazing relationship you could ever hope for, broke it and the two times you could have patched things up, you couldn't.
