I love the incredibly different vibes between these heavily edited, more jokey type of videos and the relatively more measured KGRR, yet you manage to master both styles imo. You deserve so many more subs, these are brilliant
KSP1's kerbal models have slightly asymmetrical eyes, so I guess Jeb's model having one eye bigger than the other is a little callback to that since he's the OG
Theoretically if you used some gravitational maneuvers , like mun slingshot, duna slingshot, maybe you could save enough ∆v for comeback with single run...
Not sure mun or duna would do too much both being pretty small, like it would but it would take many passes, what would probably help is kerbin to eve to jool, Eve being much larger will provide a much greater slingshot, probably could save maybe around 1000ish m/s Also doing better gravity assists at tylo and laythe too, I used tylo a couple of times (not shown) to capture at jool and bring my orbit down a bit, but going past laythe as well would have made my dV requirements to get into tylo orbit a lot lower, alas I haven’t done too many Grav assists in my time but yeah you’re absolutely right and could maybe do the return in one launch :D
Well if an eve return can be pulled off succesfully, then that should be doable since no objects (except jool and kerbol lol) are harder than either eve or tylo. Probably have to place many landers and transfer ships all over the system in many different flights (a single launch should theoretically be possible but in practice not because of lag) and then jump from ship to ship
It looks like if this was optimized with gravity assists you might have even been able to return to kerbin. It would probably take 7 million in game years and would make whoever tried go insane but at least it’s possible. Edit: doing that without an eve or tylo gravity assist is absolutely insane I can’t believe you did that to yourself thank you for your service
@@Carnasaoh ok I must have missed that. It’s been a while since I’ve used assists but I think a couple eve/kerbin assists would take down the deltav requirements a lot to save your cpu on the launchpad lol. Amazing work man it was awesome watching this.
Haha yeah cos they’re still radially attached, ive done stuff like this before when flying planes, offsetting entire planes to make it look like there’s three flying at once. Had a feeling the tanks were too close together and causing explosions and I was right, moving them apart made the design work 😅
I dunno, I built something this size in stock ksp1 before and it killed the game haha, like turned kerbin completely black and I couldn’t fly anything else on that install 😅
Hahahaha I mean if you check when this video came out compared to his, I think you’ll find it’s the other way round ;) He asked me how I dealt with ec for this mission :p
Nate better give you a shoutout sometime in 0.2 because of this - has he even ever watch an annoying AF Matt Klown video, or did that name pop out because he is the game's most popular content creator?
