How Far Can You Go with only TWO GYM BADGES in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee?

No way! I actually tried this and I thought my game would break so I just started again, I can't believe someone else did it. I tried it in fire red but I forgot what happens. It feels much more real like this though since if Pokémon were real you could choose which gym to find first, like in the anime.

I accidentally skipped the grass gym and realized it when I was trying to fight the eighth gym leader... so I just one shot everything. 😂

The freedom's actually a holdover from Red and Blue- in Johto they started clamping down on your freedom with things like the weird tree, but in Kanto you can skip around a fair deal, which is actually why they have the checks for gym badges before Victory Road.

When I was younger I used like 50 dusk balls on Giratina and didn't feel like using the master ball so I threw a poke ball as a joke and it actually worked

In my original fire ref playthrough I somehow managed to skip lieutenant surge and got all the way to the league. Was very confused when I was told I didnt have enough badges to do the league lol.

I did the rock tunnel in the dark for my first let’s go game save (eevee) and only found out about the secret technique for lighting things up after I beat the elite four (lost mewtwo and saved out of the cave bc I thought it respawned that way)

I was playing the game an skipped Erika and Sabrina on accident So THAT'S why the game went from 20 to 40

This reminds me how I accidentally skipped a gym (celadon city gym) and I wondered why all the pokemon are all over levelled I didn't realize there was a gym there

I accidentally did this in my play through, I fought the 7th gym leader after misty and then went back and one shot all the lower level gyms

I happened to be doing this very thing out of curiosity yesterday, only my order is a bit different. I chose to explore as much as I can without confronting the major characters. My main concern is the obedience of my Pokémon after level 30.

Pikachu didn't show up on your shoulder that one time because it was probably fainted. Even the text said that Pikachu was tired and couldn't play.

I used to do this in Fire Red to speedrun to Silph Co in order to get the pathetically low level 25 Lapras early in the game. The only hurdle is the battle with the rival immediately before the Lapras. You can basically do everything that isn't locked behind Surf. If you feel like it, Sabrina can be the 3rd Gym Badge as long as you grind well. Sequence breaking is really easy and satisfying in the first 2 gens. Kanto was always important to me because of that Lapras always being a uselessly low 25 for the time you're SUPPOSED to get it. Since I wanted to use it on my team for that particular play through, it was just a no brainer. You can even use the trick to not let the SS Anne set sail in Fire Red by not clearing all the trainers on the ship except your Rival, saving, returning to the Captain with only the $500 Magikarp in your party, learning cut, losing any battle to any trainer on the ship with your Magikarp, and being booted to a Pokemon Center, circumventing the ship leaving port. (You ARE REQUIRED to make it leave in order to progress to the Sevii Islands later in the game, though, unfortunately.)

I remember accidentally skipping Erika. I'd never played fully through Kanto before so I didn't know much about the Gym leaders and when I got to Giovanni I couldn't fight him as I needed her gym badge. I think her gym is blocked by a cut tree and I just never saw it until I looked it up

When I caught all of the legendary birds, when I was catching the last bird I was using great balls and ultra balls, then I ran out of them so I had to use regular poké balls! But on my first regular poké ball I caught it.. how?!?!-

That's nothing. In Pokémon Red and Blue, you can catch Mewtwo with only one badge. Hell, you can become the Pokémon Champion of Pokémon Yellow in less than a minute!

This video has a ton of new strats that will bust the Professor Oak's Challenge for these games WIDE OPEN. The ability to skip every gym except the first two means that you can catch almost the entire Kanto Dex before your third badge. :)

Instead of navigating in the dark couldn’t you have just gone back to route 2 and used cut to get light up?

It is NOT a glitch, neither an error! The game is not broken! It is just pikachu fainted in a battle and it is tired! But when you heal it in a pokémon center or with a revive and some potions, it appears back on the PLAY WITH PIKACHU menu! Again, the game was not glitched! *P.S.* The video was awsome, I didn't know how to pass through a part of the game!

It’s a cool idea, but the gyms are leveled so that they will only be fun to beat if you either play them in order or have an alternate low level team ready to go.

I remember playing heart gold and soul silver I beat the last gym and was like what? I only have seven badges. I traveled to every town until I realized I never saw the gym in one of them

Wait a minute, you're telling me that they remove the Pokemon Obedience in this game? If you only have two badges, then supposedly only up to lvl.30 Pokemon will obey you.

Hey Just Saying The Reason Why Pikachu Didn’t Show Up On The Screen Is Because He Was Tired (He Fainted Or Has Taken A lot Of Damage) That Is Why He Didn’t Show Up

If it’s the same as firered you can go all the way to fuchsia I think. You don’t need any hms to get through rock tunnel which you can get to after misty. Once you get to lavender town you can go to celadon, get the tea, open saffron, defeat the rocket base in the game corner to get the silph scope, do Pokémon tower to get the pokeflute, use it to wake the snorlax by vermilion, go to fuchsia. (I’m saying all this before even watching the video so idk if they added roadblocks that only move once you get certain badges) So looking at this you can actually get FARTHER in this game with only two badges, which is interesting.

I did this to and I swore to never complete a single gym without zapdoes articuno and unlock the whole map (I was successful)

I go to the 1st gym and 2nd gym.... Then I literally went to the last gym without realizing that I skipped the 4th gym, 5th gym, 6th gym and 7th gym

Pikachu did not show up because he fainted. When he went to the pokemon center the pikachu got healed so it shows up once more.
