The head to toe Rick outfit is sooo bold and suits you so well! You can definitely rock it! Would I wear the rick boots? YES! Would I buy them? No, I just wouldn't be able to get much wear out of them. My favourite outfit was still the brown tonal fit 💯

i love the confidence of guys who can push the boundaries of what it means to be masculine. from the surge of menswear in 2008-onward this has ultimately been what has led masculine-oriented men to wear more experimental, “feminine” pieces without disregard. these boots are an advanced fashion move that are hard to pull off (nyc rick owens store employees do it effortlessly) if not placed together with the right fit so i love it when someone actually does. my issue with the kiss boots from an objective sense is more of the hype of it all. as i’ve grown & gotten more selective with my purchases i’ve noticed that lasting satisfaction comes from pieces that have more staying power, timelessness, & uniformity within your own wardrobe. will i look back 5-10 years from now & cringe seeing a boot that’s 6 inches off the ground? will all of the stares & jokes from friends amount to too much fatigue from having to defend what you like? will the amount of times worn throughout that time justify the price of buying it? or is this simply about enjoying cool shoes to be involved in a fashion moment then reselling for profit later? love the vid but just wanted to share some internal food for thought
So here goes my unasked for opinion. I really love the silhouette of the kiss boots. But still in an outfit, I always feel like a different boot would look better. The Boots are lit, but since im just starting my style journey I wouldn't wear them as of right now. But who knows what I will wear in 1-2 years when my style has more evolved.
