In 2021 The Lord stripped me of jewels, make up, heels, trousers, short dresses and skirts. I started putting on long dresses whether day or night and stopped doing my hair using ponytails and wigs. I can't step in church without a head wrap. The change was drastic I felt strange from the world standards but now am used to it. Everywhere I go people ask me what is my religion and am glad to tell them I belong to Jesus. Dear sisters we should not dress like the world. Separate yourselves and focus on internal purity too. Beautiful testimony. I am so glad to hear this because that was exactly what Jesus did with me and I thought it was a very strange experience that only I went through. Now I see that Jesus is leading his people the same way he did with Israel taking them out of Egypt.
Can someone dress perfectly for church and reject the gospel? I'm asking because the Pastor never used the Bible even once. He never told the gospel at all.
Actully it’s the watered down false unsound wrongly divided heresey / unsound doctrine diffrent denominations preaching and teaching wrong things abd folks not studying to find out and prove what somone is saying is true or just their own interpretation or not or Gods alone
Why my husband and I having such a hard time finding a home church. Often times you have 40+ year old men dressing like the teens or they never left their 90's Pearl Jam phase! I'm not advocating that the pastor wears expensive tailored suits but seperste yourself and be an example. When you walk into a new church and the pastor looks like some stoner dude, what message are we sending!? I know....they are trying to be humble and not outshine the average church goer but nothing says the pastor can't wear a pair of Wal Mart chinos and a button down shirt, casual but identify able! I find the flip side absurd as well when the church is kept in the family and the family takes care of their clothing and expensive grooming habits before they take care of the church. Why can't their be a happy medium!?
Matthew 16:19. So often we mistake edifices full of people as the Church. Not so. The Biblical definition of the Church ((singular), ie the Body of Christ, is the collective body of believing spirit filled persons who have met the biblical criteria of salvation described in Acts 2:38-42 and who adhere to his word for the remainder of their lives. Another reason why we see “worldly and erroneous” interpretation of true worship in these various gathering places. Entertainment, and pointless emotionalism.
People Dont truly love God. They say it, but their choices, the way they dress, friendships, and things they watch deny Him. It's simple, you love God? Then, study His word and obey it. Done.
What they watch and listen to. What they support with their time, money, and energy. I was convicted about buying things with the name of a known Lbgqt person, supporting that lifestyle with my dollars.
Modest to one is offensive to another. As a female I can wear a loose short sleeved shirt and it would be offensive to a certain type of Christian based on how extreme and fanatical their views of womens fashion is.
I also want to add that it's not just clothing that makes the Christian, it is also what comes out of our mouths, in our thoughts and in our actions. ✝️👑
What a message, everything you say is so true and so many Christians knows better but they don't care . I strongly believe that when they don't dress modesty they should not go upon the pulpit to take part in none of God service because when unbelievers watch and see their dressing when they accept Christ they will do the same thing .God bless you for this powerful message ❤
When the immodest young ladies get on the platform in mini skirts to do music, NO ONE will dare to say a word of rebuke to them. The men are just supposed to look away.

Summer 2023 I put on an outfit just to do in-house chores. Looked into the mirror- a cute outfit- Then I ask God is this appropriate am not going outside. The answer was not what I expected. I was in awe/amazed. I changed my outfit. I tell folks now go to God in earnest prayers time is short we need to get it right asap for ourselves.
I can relate really. 😂😂❤❤❤❤ I always pray to God to make me beautiful all the time the way I talk. My skin, the way I walk. I eat. This is true. Every person asking what I put to my skin. Where did you buy your clothes. I said to them First you have to pray and ask God. That the clothes that He wants you to wear is on sale and affordable. This is true.
Very well said and candid. Believers need to always ask themselves this question: what am I going to do in Church? If the answer is to worship God, then the way you dress matters. Look at the Muslims when they go to the mosque or Hindus to the temple. They don't dress anyhowly.
Modesty applies to men just as much as women. The newest tech, the newest vehicle, most expensive dress suits ( forcing women to freeze in church during the summer) Most expensive footwear, the highest tech athletic wear. Men need the Modesty message too. I'm really sick that this message is using to beat down women and girls. I believe that t he holy spirit works on t he heart, drawing each to Christ. Thst spirit will guide the new Christian to the proper wear and folk like Mrs White's teachings can explain and expand what God would have them wear on represent Him. Men spend much more on t themselves just because t heir incomes tend to be larger. Th e expectation of appearance, by work and professional standards tend to stress the limits of their budgets and definitely affects thei r earnings. Flashy is excess whether it's male as much as if it's female.
It’s easier to pick on women in the SDA church. It’s very disheartening and I know God is not pleased. If it wasn’t for women there would be no SDA church because most of its members are hardworking god-fearing women. The dressing he describes is mostly done by teenagers (children) so this conversation is weird. I have yet to walk into a church and see the majority of adults dressed suggestively or inappropriately. The young men in the SDA church get away with womanizing and manipulative behaviour but everyone turns a blind eye to it. Encourage people to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our righteousness is like filthy rags, no matter how long your skirt is or how many vegetables you eat if your heart is not clean it is all in vain.
When God save us he restore everything about us including our dress code, it happened automatically for me because we are guided by the holy spirit in all truths
I'm a fashion designer and it Overwhelming and every where! Men and women! I design moderate clothing now! I DON'T WANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE for this kind of thing
One time, a girl came to our church to have a musical special singing. She had on a pair of beautiful high-heeled sandals but distracting. It seems that the shoes took over the whole aura. Also, some women dress too tight and provocatively to the point that it is despicable. Now, this taught me that when I go on the pulpit/platform I have to be well dressed to the honor and glory of God. We forget a thousand eyes are looking at us.

A CHRISTIAN'S MODEST DRESSING MUST BE ALL ENCOMPASSING, ALL-ROUND, AND TOTAL. AS ANYTHING SHORT OF THAT IS HYPOCRISY, AND A DOUBLE STANDARD. That is the second sermon in my Christian Life that I heard about dressing for church and out in the world. The first person was a woman who was addressing a woman's group and she was marvelous and very upfront which I appreciated because I see what women wear and barely wear and that includes in church. Financially, I check out the thrift stores as I can afford that and I usually do find some very nice clothes. I thank you preacher for your very needed sermon! I will go over my closet again and check out the thrift store this week! 😊✝️👑💞

Praise Yahweh, l truly appreciate a Pastor, especially a male Pastor that will come forward and speak the truth! Women in church, this day an hour, adorn themselves more like harlots, than Women of Yah. The Holy Spirit told me one morning when l was getting dressed for church to do all things in "Moderation", also that stiletoes, the shoes, were not meant for His Women. If we will listen, He will certainly let you know what to wear. Some Women are so "desperate for attention", they don't want to hear!!! Moderation is and always will be, the Key!!! I have literally wept, because of the adornment of women! 🙏 🙏
It's just the order of the day in denominitions. The church of God is safe because God himself directed on what kind of clothes to be worn by the church.
When we asked the Wonderful Counselor for advice He gives us good advice and always what we need. Listen to the voice of wisdom and knowledge and let us follow Him.
God once chastised me when I was shaping my brows way back in 2006 and he asked did I make a mistake when I shaped those eyebrows.....that was the last I even did anything to enhance my beauty.
It's really something how so much of what we think and do is influenced by the world and its customs, oftentimes without even realizing it. I remember way back in my teens, _Candies_ high heel mules were all the rage, and I wore them too, as did some of the women in church. It wasn't until many years later that I learned just how detrimental high heels are, not only to our feet, but the legs, back, and posture. So many worldly things to forsake in growing closer to Jesus and becoming more like Him.
A christian should be n dress differently from the world . What your inside are reflect your outside n your outside reflect your inside . Obey what the word say . Yes n pray like pastor say .😅
I could relate when I don't know what to wear for church I would ask the Lord what I'm going to wear for church and I would get an answer and I would wear it. God is faithful 🙏❤
My people perish through lack of knowledge, the people leading the church buildings are either not saved or not in prayer ,they are not teaching howto surrender in every area in prayer and walk in the Spirit or the importance of! God has gone outside of the church building to where they are hungry for Him and dont want to play church ! Some of the clothing is a result of this but certainly not the problem!
I don't think your wrong pastor because I love to dress nicely and to look good but sometimes I'll concentrate on how I look and it took focus from me listening to the the word of God i don't want to but can't help it thanks pastor for opening my eyes
I had experiences of same also pastor. I will give two. A young lady asked me if I were a Seventh Day Adventist. I said yes, then asked her if she were. She sais no. I said why you asked. She said ' you have a peculiar look.' I would love to know what that looks like! I also asked someone in the market the cost of an item. Before she told me the cost she asked, are you a Seventh Day Adventist? I said yes, then I asked her if she were and she said no. I asked her why she asked. She then said, you speak like one of them!
It’s not fashion - it’s a lack of modesty. Modesty is taught by fathers while mothers model it. There’s a way to dress in church. You’re not to draw attention to yourself in church because church isn’t about you. You’re most certainly not to draw attention to the sexual nature of your curves because it most definitely is not the time or place to reveal your body. “But I’m just curvy!” Then order a size UP and avoid spandex. Church is NOT the place. Wear that mess to the club. In the past, I was married to a man who struggled with lust and ogling other women in my presence, and honestly I learned to avoid black churches altogether with him because of the extreme lack of modesty. Found a nice diverse church to go to where everybody dressed casually and no one was seeking attention. I still go there! He does not lol. But it’s where I feel comfortable. In my past, I dressed very immodestly, but now I know that 1.) it attracts the wrong type of mate, 2.) it sets a snare for people who are struggling , and 3.) it does not represent the kingdom of God. What kind of attention are you seeking when you dress the way you do? Are you drawing someone to look at your face? Are you drawing someone to look at your butt? Are you drawing someone to look at your chest? Or are you drawing someone to look at your mind and personality??? If it’s the first three, then just stay home and watch church on RU-vid. If it’s the last two, then dress for THAT.
I do wear the heels 👠 😂😂😂and i do like them but surely you have helped me so much pastor ......... Everything you are teaching here is correct and right may GOD help us ladies to glorify him
I love my heels. They are modest 2-2.5 inches. I wear a dress everyday..I always look presentable and modest whether I'm cooking, pulling weeds or going to the grocery store.. the Lord has chastised me though..I have enough clothes and shoes..no more
Which church are you talking about? Nothing can destroy the church of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! Fashion is not destroying the Church but sin. Preach about how sin kills, destroys, brings death and destruction. But then tell the congregation about the goodness of The LORD JESUS CHRIST and what HE did on the cross for all of us who are born into this world.
Pastor Randy Skeete your message is so relevant and inspiring. I have heard so many preachers publicly asking other preachers to preach the Gospel and leave people's dress alone. I am sure proper dressing is very much a part of the Gospel proclamation. Keep the torch of truth burning brother pastor.

As a belivr of more than 20 years I want them to see Jesus in Jesus and him alone we all fall short as belivers and the world may see me on the wrong day at the wrong moment in time so they need to look and follow Christ alone or they will be even more disappointed if they look at me Keep your mind on Christ then they’ll have no one to blame etc or maybe they will

Not everyone is calling by God, when you come in contact with God you'll never be the same what you wear how we speak if I am going to church or going eals where someone should be able to know the difference between Christian and the world there goes a child of God

It is important to to dress in a way that pleases God, but where ofrewipi Soweto South Africa, the adeventist sing well, dress modestly, no pearciengs on era nose, choose right eating, keep the sabbath but they are the ones with kids out of wedlock, I don’t know really but that’s my experience. They have a look and something that tells they re SDAs, the outside, but just that element of purity is lacking in them 🤷🏽♀️. My God help us.

Stop making excuses for not making disciples out of the people (the church) you coaxed into your pews. There was no relationship, no accountability and no power made available to nurture their faith. That’s why God Himself has judged the church and given it the leadership it deserves. The itchy ear gospel, void of Christ and power has produced automatons who has a good command of Christianese but is void of Holiness and Truth.😢😢😢
I did not grow up as an Adventist, however, my husband is an Adventist. I go with him to Sabbath to support him. I have been a Christian all my life. I have been baptized in the Holy Spirit; I am a prayer warrior and God has blessed me with the gift of Prophecy. My husband is very active in Ministry and respected because of the gifts God blessed him to have. I am so glad he is not as judgmental as you. I dress modestly when I go to Sabbath and I dare anyone to say anything to me about my shoes or pearl earrings. I have prayed and asked God to forgive me if my dress is inappropriate or if I should dress differently. I’ll tell you what is inappropriate. It’s people like you who make others feel like a Jezebel for your law. It’s inappropriate for the Praise and Worship team to usher in the Spirit of God and the congregation looks at them as if they are preforming for them. I am going to wear my earrings, 3 inch heels and Praise the Lord while you judgmental people let the rocks cry out for you. How about that?!
You are wasting your time legislating people’s behavior. Anytime someone has an encounter with Jesus Christ and submits to the will of God their entire life will reflect the image of God. Stop wasting people’s time , this is just for laughs but it is ineffective for sustained christian living.
This is ignorant because we still have a choice to be modest, respectful, and dressed to meet The King. Women and Men make the choice to wear what they wear! If they can't wear it in a professional setting, do not wear it to church.
It is important to ask God to dress not only our inside but the Holy Spirit must also be allowed to dress the outside to represent the One who is dwelling on the inside...So a person/Christian cannot be divided into 2 parts (one part for God and the other part for the world). People look on the outside because they can't read hearts so it's important to see Jesus in how we dress... What we wear matters to God...He will even open doors for you because you obey His dress code. God is awesome. We Must Surrender all the areas of life to God.🙏❤

If anyone persists in loving the world, the Father’s love is not in him. 16 For everything that is in the world-the desire for fleshly gratification, the desire for possessions, and worldly arrogance-is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world and its desires are fading away, but the person who does God’s will remains forever.
Life is about making choices..... choose the right fashions to wear to church. It is not the fashion that is destroying the church....fashion is designed for different occasions. It is what you choose to put on for the occasion. Some people need teaching on what to wear to church.
When one truly love God n themself they'll do everything to please him so he will have mercy and by Grace restore us to be His beautiful Creation.soon.

I feel that messages like this teaches that we should be ashamed of our bodies. Forget working out and being in shape because you'll have to wear a sheet over it.
