Hey Dave, thanks for the 0-60 run on the TLX as I've requested it a while back. Truly good to know that you pay attention to your subscribers request you're truly an Everyman's Driver! By the way was that run at sea level? I've expected it to get at least into 7 sec.

I like this car but I would trade the MPG for the V6 for refinement, feel and sound.. I hope Acura starts showing the tailpipes on their cars again, but in the back of my head I would just get the Accord V6. Good video BTW!

keri ellerbe From other reviews..the v6 handles worse and its 9 speed auto transmission is sloppy...better of getting an accord v6

Also, Dave. Try "double-footing" it? Put one foot on the brake, the other on the gas, rev up to about 1500 or maybe 1700, release the brake and let the car launch? Maybe that will help. Careful on FWD models...

Never done a 0-60... I usually let my car pull itself without any gas, then I floor it. I do more of a 7-60... I have a 2007 Altima 2.5 liter. It's supposed to score somewhere around 8 seconds in 0-60. It's a CVT, too.

you flooring the acura 2.4 just bogs it down if you use a lighter foot your numbers are substantially better...

Sammy Speed Agreed, if he slowy pushes the gas pedal instead of flooring it, the vtech engine kicks into gear and accelerates much quicker. Once he feels it kick ito gear, then he should floor it for max performance. I just bought t a 2017 TLX and it feels much faster and more powerful than what he said. I’m going to time my own 0-60 next time I can.

When u compared the EPA mileage figures for the 2.4 and 3.5, you used the wrong numbers for the 3.5. You used the AWD numbers, instead of the FWD numbers. FWD gives 34 mpg highway, and 2 or 3 mpg more city than you quoted.

1. Why shifting at 6500 RPM? Max HP is at 7000... 2. My TSX manual 2009 is doing low seven seconds.... 3. DCT should be MUCH faster right??? Lolol.

The accord sport 2.4 2015 do it in 6.9 seconds 0 to 60 with a CVT 😪, but it depends on where do you live I guess

Thanks for the test, but no offense, I think the whole thing was a waste of time for a 4 cylinder glorified Honda Accord since the results are so close. I’d definitely have start the test by sport mode and if results were disappointing, I’d have abort the test 😂

No, the 2015 Acura TLX V6 has 5.8 seconds from 0-60 and the 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6 only has 6.1 seconds. So it’s more ridiculous that a Camry with maximum configurations can’t even beat a TLX with low configurations.

I like the 2014 tl better they should have never made this car 4cyl and the v6 has less power than the previous model Acura is suppose to slaughter Infiniti and nissan
