You are the reason I play the game in the first place, seeing you do a speed run is kinda funny haha. Like on other videos (fastes way to get to pvp) where you speed run to endgame haha. As a new player to the game, almost everything is confusing and I got alot of Intel from your videos❤
We all play the game knowing sometimes the bugs will be against us & other times for us. Speed run still counts when bugs are for us. I have done the dragon in 1500+ armour & followers & it can still be a challenge at times. Nice work.
Exactly~ I would say the most detrimental bug to the speedrun was the Well of Skellos boss not spawning in, but thankfully I was able to find a solution to that bug. Just gotta get to the boss within 3 minutes and he won't despawn. Or if he's not there, when you enter his arena, just walk out to the left for a little bit and then come back and he'll be there again. Right now the biggest challenge is the Undead Dragon. It's so hard to defeat him with 300 HP and 100 stamina, lol. I think after the Age of War his movement is crazy. He rotates fast and doesn't give you much breathing room.
I'm glad to hear. I was worried about this video being too long, haha. Oh and I'm not done yet, I'm coming for that world record. >:D I just gotta get good at fighting the Undead Dragon.
In the well of Skelos, if the boss isn't on the throne, just run out, down the ramp as far as you can then back in... he will appear on the throne, kill mobs and you can finish it...usually one shot.
@@Zelosykes Hey man, I wasn’t disappointed with the content. Whether it be speed runs, pvp, pve, pvp tactics and meta equipment videos; I’ll be there supporting 🫵🏻
This is my preferred playstyle in Exiles. But i go barbaric, permadeath meaning no bedroll and a lot of backtracking. Try it with no torches too ^^ nice to see others try it! and yes i had to bug the undead dragon pre age of Sorcery as well ^^
I did some practice runs yesterday of the Well of Skellos, I should be in and out much quicker for the next one and most importantly, without dying. Gotta leave the bedroll up there cause then if you put it by Dragonmouth, you got a much longer walk to the Black Keep dungeon.
@57:45 Instead of Steel-thewed, another option is to kill the cultists at the entrance of the Dagon dungeon next to the Witch Queen to get their epic Lemurian armour. I do this not for speed-runs, but when playing as nomad/scavenger (not using at any point in the game the construction hammer).
You shouldn't have to fight the serpent priest. Normally after that barrier comes down, you go up to him and hit him once and he falls down dead. Your game definitely bugged out tho coz he disappeared entirely. This was a great video. Looks like it might also being inspiring others. Would love to see this kickoff a new wave of speedruns for Conan.
The Serpent priest bug was so discouraging. I did some research, apparently that bug has been in the game for years. Two ways to go around it without admin mode: 1) Get to the boss room within 3 minutes of entering the Well. 2) If he’s not there when you enter the boss room, make a left and walk out of the boss room for a bit, then come back and he’ll have respawn. Yeah! The community needs more speed runs. Looking forward to seeing people’s runs.
Maybe pick up the cimmerian beserkers armor when you are at the Barrow King? Can be done quickly with any war axe (repeat knock down combo until he’s dead). Could be helpful for the other dungeons…
I have been thinking of doing the same thing, i have 6k hours in this game, all achievements, but never once have ever actually tried to go for the final cutscene in the game. WIth the upcoming age of heroes, it might be worth the shot since i can have a talking waif....i mean companion along side me.
They really do! The Undead Dragon gives no room to breathe. Turns around instantly like it has q-lock on you, lol. Been practicing but struggling to beat it.
the first speed run i've watch was MrBalelas's world record run.. i believe he did it during the AoS with those khitan's trader season, so making it much easier for a speed run as you can buy legendary weapons.. and i believe he made use of both bed and bedroll to minimize travel time around location traveling..
@Zelosykes for the serpentman boss.. he has always been bugged.. there are 2 ways you can do to get him to spawn in.. 1st get yourself to ghost mode and then turn back on to normal and he will spawn in.. or the easiest way is to run away from rendering view and return and he should spawn back in his seat...
Haha! I think I can do much better second round now that I know what to expect. After this run, I practiced the paths at Buccaneer Bay camp and the Well of Skellos. Also, figured out a solution to the missing boss at the volcano. Only thing I still need is to get better at the Dragon fight. His movement and size make it so hard to fight with 300 HP and 100 stamina.
@@Zelosykes Seems like a very doable WR ngl. In speedrun terms, that is. It's never "easy", but it's certainly possible and I might even give it a go myself
@@Zelosykes You can potentially avoid Buccaneer Bay if NPC with Scourgestone piece spawns at Deckswab's Retreat. That's what happened in MrBalelas's speedrun iirc
Yeah, that's a massive skip/time saver. I tried to test out the RNG by respawning back and forth between bed and bedroll locations (so that thralls refresh due to distance) and I only got the NPC once out of 20 times. You gotta have supreme luck, lol. I think most of the time, you'll need to go to Buccaneer's Bay.
the serpentman boss has always been bugged.. there are 2 ways you can get it to spawn back in, first is to set yourself to ghost mode and then turn back on normal mode again it should spawn back in.. or the easiest way is after you defeated all his minions then run away from rendering view and then return back then it should spawn in his seat...
sometimes Heinrik wave runner will spawn on the beach around were the kitahn caravan is now or in flotsam which i think might be an easier run than the ship, altho i think there is an easier route to the ship i believe if you climb it. the Gator bosses used to be one of the easier ones to predict and dodge, but ever since they did the changes to the way enemies rotate the gators are tricky, you have to time dodges just right or else your getting hit. i had seen 1 speedrun about a year ago were for the dragon they cheesed it, there was a spot they would climb up to and lure it over to a small ledge and they could hit it but it rarely could hit them. i forget the spot tho so not sure if it still works
it could also be a viable strategy to try instead of getting the katana from al mera, to do like they used to a defeat a world boss, but instead of the crok boss since the changes, id probably try to go after the spider boss in skittering cavern, a bit closer than al mera but the fight might take more time, but you could get lucky and get both the nemedian helm and the daggers it drops, sometimes it drops both sometimes only 1 or the other, plus it gives a key and has one of the few chests not in a dungeon for yet another legendary weapon or armor, so depending on how the fight goes and what drops being early in the run will tell you whether or not to keep going or start over.
Yep, that spider boss is another good option if you want a different legendary weapon. I think I'll stick with the katana though since it gives me a bit more space to fight the bosses. With the daggers, you gotta be real up close to the bosses, it's too dangerous with their enhanced q-lock rotation.
also in the well the degenerate almost always bugs out for me, you have to check as your running up, if he isnt in the throne run past and up the ramp to the jump down spot, then turn and go back he will usually reset that way and be there, same if you fight and he isnt there run up and back down he should reset.
That Blade you have is so over powered it makes more sense to put points into vitality first. At least 10 points. Also if you kill the berserker at the mounds you should get some very high level armour.
Yeah, my new build for my next speed run will be 10 Vit, 10 Age. Tested it out, good enough to tank 2 hits from the Undead Dragon. And I will be stopping by the Berserker on my way to The Barrow King.
It's a good idea, the extra levels could help with the Undead Dragon. I feel for world record time, Ima need to be in an out though and even farm way less aloe leaves cause I took my sweet time with those. Haha overall, I just gotta get good.
just use dodge roll at the right time, and you are invincible, when u lock on its ez to dodge, and i think you should added getting that white armor you get on your leveling guide, aaaand kill almost everyone on your way to your checkpoints for lvl, cuz you kill almost everyone in like 3 hits btw, too much pvp is not a good start for speedruning :D and i bet your 2nd run will be way more faster, and i suggest not to rely on that lucky spawn of pirate, or do a re-run if he doesnt spawn i think your 1st three steps should be get alloy, get katana, get that white armor (sobek or what ever its called), and go oneshot everything :D, or ignore alloy and learn to dodge
I may have missed it but what did you define as "end game" for your speed-run for a game that really doesn't have an ending? A lot of these survival games "end" when you just get bored of playing it.
The ending for Conan is collecting a bunch of artifacts from bosses that when combined will allow you to finally remove your bracelet so you can escape the Exiled Lands. There’s an end screen at the end of the video~
@@Zelosykes Oooh right.. i never bothered with that since some bosses are just too difficult. On a multiplayer game i recall my friends giving me the final thing to use to take my bracelet off, but doing so would literally end the game and I got the impression i'd start over again or couldn't play anymore.
Speedrunning Conan, thats new to me.... Wtf XD tbh I never understood the logic behind speedruns, simply because its not enjoyable way of playing. That double range towards the Well was awful luck on enemy spawning. Deaths by two archers, holy shit. You also could of have left sleeping bag within the volcano somewhere closer to the Well. That should be possible, unless ive mistaken, but I do remember placing down an sleeping bag before the Well entrance just because I didnt want to run all the way back incase of death.
I feel like for a speedrun to count it needs to be on official difficulty. I dont blame you for playing in on easy since that what everyone else has done; but you know.. its easy mode Also, I dont remember 1 skull bosses being a part of this.. i thoguht they were all 3 skull minimums. A 1 skull boss is kinda a nothing burger Its hilarious that they just cant be bothered to even fix things like the Barrow King..
Yeah, haha. But honestly, I really neglect the PvE side of Conan. My main focus is usually just gearing up, fighting other players, and raiding. That's why I wanna try out Siptah though. It's basically a brand new game for me. I have only explored like 5% of the content it has.
@@Zelosykes oke Bro verry thanks. Me well also Started Solo of offical Server and gebossted Server. Me falling just in Toxic Clan, send me death threat and say me one Handicap idiot etc😡😡😡. Because of this dis Probleems well me also Solo Playing Conan. Pls understand me Bro what il well say🙏🙏🙏
Haha, it took me a while to get used to it too. But for PvP, it’s important cause you need to be able to see all of your enemies and where they are coming for. Thanks for subscribing. :)
I would prefer to make the edit, but for speedruns you need to showcase everything to make sure there isn’t any time manipulation. If I get a good time next time, I’ll definitely make an edit out of it.
@@Zelosykes I tought speedrunners could able to upload their speedrun to a speedrun site🤔. But I am not sure tho. Still even without editing it is fun to watch🤌
