It did it slightly better than I was expecting, and with slightly better I mean literally less than 1 minute. Nidoking is indeed amazing for the adventure in the first 2 gens due to how generous EVs were for all-rounders. Also, Nidoking is considered the best ground type in GSC alongside Golem, due to how difficult to wall BoltBeam + Earthquake + Lovely kiss can be (yes, they gave the Nidos Lovely kiss... and to Snorlax so it could become better than Mew and Mewtwo). 20 years later said combo still proves to be amazing with Sandy shocks using boltbeam + earth power as substitute for Nidoking, who has been doing the same thing for all these years since generation 1 with varying sucess.
Watching these at 1.5x speed is insane. Love thos series from the two I've watched so far, cant wait to speedrun binge watching those whole series at accelerated speed.
Hey buddy, just wanted to let you know I appreciate your content. The hardcore hit of nostalgia is what I enjoy the most. Between you and jrose11 I get to watch the games I grew up playing. Thanks buddy
Guys, I'm a fool. How does Squidgy get from the Whirl Islands to Vermillion? It looks like he's teleporting, but I thought you could only teleport to places you've been to already? Love these videos.
That's just a little bit of editing - I always pop into the Pokémon Center at Olivine City before grabbing the last Rare Candy, then TP back there, take the boat, and once you leave the boat, you can teleport to Vermillion's Pokémon Center when you're on the dock
I'll absolutely be doing Jumpluff at some point in the future - it'll be a little while away, though, as I try to spread out the typings as much as possible - leave it with me, and if I can make it an interesting run, I'll absolutely bump it up the schedule!
I'm undecided between Arbok and Weezing for my next Poison-type run, it'll be a little while away, though, as I try not to have too many Pokémon of the same type in quick succession.
XD didnt you say you accidentally used Leer in the beginning during the first wild encounter due to how the moves were organized? XD but besides that yeah leer isnt that great (Just being that person XD Sorry but at least im not trying to be a jerk about it) anyways great video Squidgy
@Muriuki34 Right. I'd expect queen to have an easier time early game when you don't have powerful moves yet, but king to pull away in the later game with his better ability to one shot enemies.
@Squidgy he is useless fact about one of your favorite Hm friend. In finnish language paras means "the best" example best at something. Ps greetings from Finland
Any reason you don’t use Curse setup at Red for the Nidos? If you you are ground, Pikachu, even with Charm, is excellent to setup Curse paired with leftovers
The reduction in speed is absolutely not worth it if you can avoid it. There's zero point in using Curse and making yourself slower than every Pokémon when you can hit your way through by going first. Nidoking would've been decimated even harder by Espeon if we'd have used Curse.
