I adopted a speeder strategy for a good start. This works whenever you have a 128 tile field available without needing special tools, e.g. with the stumps blocking the sprinkler friendly area on beach. First plant the 15 parsnip. No scarecrow needed. After you harvest them, don't get new crops, or just get 1 each of bundle crops. From here, I have two routes. Either mining and some fishing, or full-on fishing and buying what ores you don't catch. Target is a prepared 128 tile field (size of4x4 quality sprinklers, ideally those spots marked with flooring) and 12,8k gold on hand at day of egg festival. Buy 128 strawberries. The first round should be enough to have the skill for sprinklers. On beach this almost works, but needing steel axe before 12th on top of everything else was too much for me. So I got 66 strawberries and.. had to wait on first summer harvest to make sprinklers. It was interesting to get a level from harvesting 2 peppers. Only fishing helps a lot, because then you don't need to upgrade axe and pickaxe at all, until the field is all set up.
I've done a challenge to complete the Joja Community Form by the end of first spring, and this ties in well. I fished almost solidly all spring long, usually in the mountain lake. My total earnings were over 170k by the end of the season, and I did complete my goal. Having the minecarts and greenhouse open that early makes a huge difference in options. The panning helped surprisingly a lot too, for gathering ores. I was on the meadowland farm, and got two extra chickens as fast as I could, so petting those and picking up eggs gave me 40xp daily. That might add up to about 1000xp for the season. Turning in artifacts I caught got me 9 cauliflower, 9 melon, 9 pumpkin, and a starfruit seed from the museum. Being able to plant these out of season in the greenhouse was great. Being able to plant strawberries and harvest them more than two or three times was nice too. I upgraded my tools to steel or even gold because I wanted to, but I wasn't focusing at the time on "earliest Q sprinklers". But it was very nice to have upgraded tools when I began to use them. I really hate watering, so I went with basic sprinklers as soon as I could make them. In fact, I decided the challenge of my run was to never water by hand. It went pretty well for me, but idk whether I'd make the same choices if my goal was earliest quality sprinklers.
@@Marialla. I was thinking to buy sprinklers from Krobus. The bit I'm not sure about, is if you can feasibly get 60 museum donations in that little time. On the other hand, it's not so bad to not start on greenhouse yet. My usual moment is midway Fall (1st pumpkin, and I never speedgro that one) after all. Meadowlands is nice. I like to have a barn for cheese anyway. One deluxe barn or coop is good for 120 xp per day, so having one each gets you to cheese press by mid Summer I guess? I was thinking Riverland for the smoker. Guess I should invest in early coop and barn! Or maybe just a couple of barns.. one with goats to fill casks. So many strategic choices to make 😇
Don't forget to plant all the carrot seeds you can. They take only three days to ripen and give 9xp. You can't buy them, but it makes sense to grow all you're able. Also, anyone on Meadowland farm has the huge advantage of starting with chickens, which give you 5xp each daily for both petting and picking up eggs.
My strategy from my last playthrough here is i planted around 35 - 40 parsnips and crops that needed for bundles. Day 2 im making sure i get lvl 2 fishing before 5pm to get fiberglass rod. Then just fishing until day 4 just fishing to get around 7.700g for buying copper needed to craft 1 furnace and upgrade cost. In this case i had extra money and ore i get while mining so i can craft 2 furnace which comes in handy for next upgrade. Day 4 smelting 5 copper bar before clint closed at 4pm and upgraded my pickaxe. Day 5 i harvest my 35 parsnips and get close to lvl2 farming. mines unlocked but because my pickaxe is not ready, im going to fish at the lake to get another 9500g for iron ore and steel upgrade cost. On day. I get really lucky here for getting alot of iron inside treasure chest and cut the cost greatly so i can buy 190 kale seeds to get lvl 6 farming. Day 6 is the last day i can plant the kale so i can get lvl 6 farming and still making profits from that before egg festival. Plant all of them and get my steel pickaxe at clint and started mining until floor 80. Day 7, 8, and 9 just watering my kales and mining. Reach floor 80 at day 9 and started grinding materials needed for quality sprinklers. My goal here is, i planted 200 or more strawberries after on 16th of springs at very last so i can still get 2 harvest. So i need 25 sprinklers which means 125 gold and iron. And 25 quartz. And they're very easy to get and started processing them into bars on day 10. Day 11 and 12 goes fishing again to get gold as much as i can for strawberry seeds. day 12 i harvest my kale, get lvl 6 farming and sold everything i have and got my self 30.000g. day 13 just get the 300 seeds and straw hats. Day 14 gathering another materials for extra 100 seeds i get and completing minecart bundle. Day 15 just clearing area and plating 300 strawberries. That's how i plant 300 strawberries on first springs and for the rest of the month im just fishing for money needed to unlock bus bundle and got into bottom of the mines at 21th spring. Day 22 i reach floor 90 at skull cavern and doing it for the rest of the season to get money needed for a lot of starfruit in summer
