Great video! I’m thinking of buying an X380 but can’t decide between the 48” or the 54” inch deck. Do you know if any problems are had with the 54” inch model or is it just as reliable as the 48”?
Thank you! I have not heard of any issues with the 54" deck. I have always seen great reliability out of the 54" deck. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
You mentioned you adjusted the anti scalp wheels before you started. I’ve reviewed you other video’s and don’t find one which addresses that. Can you explain or tell me where to go to do this correct? Thank you for your deck leveling video. Easy to do and very well done.
It depends on what mower you have and what deck is on the mower. If you can give me the model and deck size I can explain or you can check you operator manual for the instructions as well.
Hi iv got the e110 and wondering how to remove the steering wheel cap, do I just get a flat head and force it off or is there a specific spot so I don’t break off the clips?
It has 3 tabs that hold it in place. I would try wedging a screw driver or some other flat tool in directly under the Deere logo and see if you can get it to pop loose from there.
i have a older john deere d140 from a few years ago, and i have not been happy with it. the seat rides way too high and it feels like your gonna fall out of the seat. it kind of makes me not like john deere. but it could be the fact its from lowes. also i have had to remove the engine shroud to unstick the starter gear after the first year of having it. and the fly wheel was rusty so i cleaned it up as well while i had it off.
I just upgraded from a 102 (Big Box John Deere from 2006) to an X590. Cut quality is terrific, and although the tractor is quite a bit bigger than the 102, it turns on a dime with the power steering. Really happy with it.
@@WesternEquipment o ya i forgot that...lol its been great.. almost 10 years & no problems with it.. cuts nice as well. the mower deck could use a new paint job tho..
They originally bought this for their lake house but it wasn’t sturdy enough on that yard their yard that there lake house is a steep sloop . So they have this tractor at their main house now to replace their old 100 series that died on them and bought an X700 series with 4 wheel drive for their lake house. They wanted 4 wheel drive because there yard is steep and they wanted something that stay stable on their yard.
Best thing about these tractors is that you can pick up low hour trade ins at your dealer for less than a crappy big box store tractor. I'd rather have a zero turn, but for the price these are a bargain.
@Jay M yeah, that's what I was saying. The john deere dealers have used trade ins for a good discount over new. Some are just barely used and more or less are still new. Quite a bargain.
would be nice to keep making these type of videos also.. add different brand mowers to compare against jd only thing i hate jd is stamp deck not welded deck
69 Texaseyes if you’re mowing rocks and stumps, for grass stamped deck is just fine, and cut quality is usually better with stamped decks because of the way air flows with them
of course this isnt a realistic time...this is perfectly ideal conditions where you arent hardly cutting anything off and there are no obstructions or hills
@@WesternEquipment Thanks Mate, your videos are first class. I hope you get commission from John Deere Australia because you've convinced me on JD for Mower
