I watch you a lot and Than from Tidal Gardens. He stated hammers and frogspawn are Fimbriaphyllia while torches are still Euphyllia. This would explain why hammers and frogspawn get a long better than torches next to either one. I have a hammer that looks like the first one you showed!! A “Splatter Hammer”. I love the multicolor look.
For some reason I lost damn near all my fimbriaphylli. Kept around 8 heads at most, I have some of those same splatters and some bi color hammers there. Just a few frags. Overtime lost my frogspawn too, I think it was 2 things. Low magnesium, like pretty low, and when I got Dino’s when my nutrients bottomed out. I think that was what played a role in them dying off. I’ve then moved some to my 20g tank and they’re recovering, some in my main tank still doing okay now
Hmm, any more details on the new tanks (sizes, AIO?, ETA?)? I just ordered an EVO 13.5 from you guys and wondering if I maybe should have waited? Also had considered the Nuvo 20 but there was no stock, makes sense now that you say that it's discontinued.
When you frag the hammer with your hand and all the polyps went every where I was like omg! Those little things if they land on any other corals that are not hammer torch or Frogspawn or octospawn it is going to sting the trap of the other corals. Ask me how I know. I had only one or two polyps floating around and it landing on my glitter goni and it stung it so bad I had to go in and pull it out. And that area of the goni is forever dead but the coral over all made it but took months
I must be doing something wrong in my tank cause my corals dont seem to be growing at all. Idk what it is. My alk, calc, and magnesium is on point. Ph is usually around 8.3
How did you get the money together to have a beautiful store like this. I would love to start up a store here in NYC we don’t have any good store out here I feeel like I can really change the game down here it jus seems like it’s a ton of cash to put down.
Start off small and start selling coral frags out of your house and save up for a store front or just get a business loan. Not easy to start a store because it won’t happen over night, but the struggle I imagine would be worth it. I work at a fish store and my boss bought his shop as an existing store from his brother since his brother didn’t care too much about running a store front. Now it’s one of the biggest stores in SoCal. So that’s another way lol. Make friends with store owners that aren’t passionate about running a store and buy it from them.
@@tripwithizzy929 man if I opened a store in NY I would put all these other crappy LFS out of business… the stores suck here and we have like only 2 right in the heart of the city
My tank is almost cycled I think ammonia 0 ..... If I add ammonium chloride and get a reading. 24 hours later it is gone.... But nitrite is still purple and high....also have nitrate...I test this morning and nitrite is a little lighter c an I add any corals or no???
Your cycle is not completed. Need 0ppm nitrite to show on your test kit. I recommend you do some googling to brush up on how it works. This cycle is the same for freshwater and marine aquariums so doesn’t matter which one you read about.
