Mine takes 3 or 4 pages at the same time because it is doing so fast. Is there a way to slow it down? Or to avoid picking up more than one pages at the same time. This way I keep loosing some pages if I don't double check which takes a lot of time. Not very reliable.
All paper handling devices pick up dust and fibers as they run, and the rollers need to be cleaned periodically (think mild dish soap and water, carefully applied and carefully dried afterward) to continue working properly.
Kann man die Dokumente auch vor dem scannen benennen und gibt es bessere Geräte von brother die noch mehr können? Das Gerät ist ja schon länger auf dem Markt
@@dualityk wow, cool. thanks. So the sequence of the pages is correct? I know some scanners will sequence the odd pages then followed by even pages. Hoped I'm making sense.
@@unlock-er You are making sense. The pages come out the right way, sequential, not odd/even, since it's scanning the front and back of each page at the same time.
I usually do 20-25 sheets at a time. When it runs out, as shown, it will ask if you want to continue with that PDF or complete the operation, and you can add as many batches as you like.
Other than making sure you have the paper guides set correctly, it's important that the rollers for this unit be clean. Just like a printer will jam or feed strangely if its rollers are dirty. Quoting myself: All paper handling devices pick up dust and fibers as they run, and the rollers need to be cleaned periodically (think mild dish soap and water, carefully applied and carefully dried afterward) to continue working properly. Mine has rarely misfed, but I'm also just this dude with one scanner.
Mine doesn't power on with just USB, so I suppose the performance difference is literally infinite. :) I tried two different wide micro-3.0 cables on all the computers, power banks, and AC chargers I had on hand, no dice. It is supposed to work off USB, but Brother just says it's "slower", can't scan to network, and won't do long documents.
@@dualityk Thanks for checking. It's a shame the Brother information is spotty on this; looks like we'll be going with an Epson instead that works off USB! Take care and thanks again!
@@dualityk I wouldn't expect it to do that sort of speed on USB. USB can put out a maximum of about 500 mA which at 5 volts is 2.5 watts. There is no way a motor pushing at that speed would draw only 2.5 watts.
@@roadmonitoroz Mine doesn't work at all on USB power, so it's moot, but it does have a USB 3 Micro B connector (the weird wide one) and could presumably thus draw 900mA for 4.5W if it worked, which it doesn't.
