I think the dip you’re hearing is actually aero load. They made the aero insanely aggressive to help with stability. With a flatter wing and splitter, changing nothing else, I think you’d hit 100 easy.
Looking around youtube I haven't see anyone break 100mph on stock electronics. Super close but not 100mph. In my opinion I got 86mph stock Infraction 46/25. 100c battery. If the gearing is perfect I think you could make it. I'm going to try 40t spur and 25t pinion first, then a 27t. You're a car guy, I think you are over geared. Obviously 8s with a bigger motor does it. Good luck 👍
Lots of battery brands, and people will name every one of them . If money is an issue i think its better to hold and buy what you need and not junk . Personal experience i got a lil love for the zeee batteries _ 2X 3s 9000mah 100c
@@jusefnathan4075 the old xlx or the newer xlx2? The xlx2 is such a beast of a controller I doubt 110 woke it up lol keep at it and you'll get the numbers you want
If your getting on the throttle to hard to fast it causes the esc to load out I think it's called. Try slower and smoother on the throttle. This thing drives so smooth and controllable at high speed! I just bought zee 3s 8000mah 100c. Max6 with a surpass 2000kv. 39 th spool and 22 th pinion. This weekend I will hopefully test! 1 7 Arrma Mount 1set Alloy Center Driveshaft High Speed Support Set Ara109011 Ara109001 Ara7617V2 Ara7615V2 Infraction Limitless Felony(red) Check this out to keep the center rear driveshaft from warping itself.
Good thoughts. It is certainty getting on a little too fast, but the new batteries helped huge. Problem is their capacity is too small for repeated 90+ mph runs. I am already running a center driveshaft support so no worries there. Good luck on your speed runs.
@@JrsGasolineAlley cool! Yea low c rating is not what you want in this limitless! The Zee 3s 8000mah 100c are some good lipos!!! Only was able to go half throttle and man does she go! 39 th spool and 22th pinion. Ran for 25 or so minutes and ran 3.70 per cell was left! Not bad.
That's a good thought, I don't believe that the wires are carrying as much voltage as the 5.5 bullets can carry, but maybe that is a weak link. Thanks for the suggestion
That's the point. My goal is 100mph on "stock" Spektrum electronics. It would be easy just to throw in a larger esc and send it, but not what I'd like to do.
Mine does the same on 27T / 34T, 6s 5000mA 50C, hobbywing 2200kv motor and a max8 esc - it plateaus in performance, hit 88mph (didn't go back in time) motor cables are getting hot, I think the motor is labouring with that gearing and pulling too much through the ESC as a result. I'm going for the 39T spool which drops the ratio from 4.17 to 4.78 to let the motor rev more freely and avoid the power cutoff
Awesome video, wonder if you use Hobbywing Max 8 G2 ESC with the new sensored 4278 Motor and PowerHobby 100C batteries maybe you will exceed 100mph easily
The Hobby wing Max 8 is unlikely to make much of a difference in speed compared to the Spektrum electronics in here. The Max6 would be the ticket to higher speeds. But my goal is to use the "stock" electronics to hit 100mph.
The fact that a stock bandit with no fin can hit 70mph.(with the 3s and sugested tooth pinion) You can find it on yt. Makes the stock electronics used on this kinda sad. Maybe try a castle combo? yeah like other people were saying an 8s setup
Use 8mm conectors. If you're interested in cheap batteries that are decent and have high c rating go with zees you can find 2 3s 6000mah on amazon. You will need to change the conectors. I use ec8 on everything
that spektrum 150a esc is the real issue here. once you gear up that ESC gets maxed out. the 160a is a lot better im using the MMX 8S WITH A 1717MOTOR 1650KV, my gearing is soft- 41t spur and 27t pinion- it hits 105mph on 100c batts and 140f temps on motor ESC is just under 130f. Honestly- you can get 100mph on this set up, but the Castle electrics makes it easier. i also have this set up on my hoboa, it hits 85mph on 6s so even 130mph is much easier to achieve with 8s and slightly higher gearing. thanks for these great videos bro.
Thanks for the thoughts. I am going for 100mph on "stock" electronics. No doubt 8s would work much much better. My most recent video on this hit 97mph with some slight aero upgrades. More to come and I bet it will get there. Once the 100mph is achieved it will get new electronics for sure.
A cap pack is not going to fix the issue with cutting out. This is purely the safety limitations of the ESC which you can't override. A Cap pack will help with voltage sag but putting in the best Cap pack on the market won't fix your issue. If you want to hit 100mph + you'll need a better ESC (Mamba Monster X 8S if on a budget or XLX2 if you want an ultimate power house). For easy mph gains, trim the rear wing down and remove the two front black winglets to improve aerodynamics. Also balancing the wheels is an absolute must 😄
@@adamniven do NOT take the front wings off. Not unless you want a kite. Trim the rear fin, all ya like. But the front air dams, are there for a reason.. And I have zero issues hitting 128-130 all day long, with my firma 160 and 1250 combo, runnin an 8s ripple killer. 30:34 gearing. Runs cool, consistent and I have ZERO issues with that system. If your cutting out, either your drawing more amperage than your batteries can supply, the ESC has a circuit that's breaking down, or your loosing signal. Fix with caps, better Batts or RX/TX. But sure! Go spend more money! Yes, there's bigger faster shit out there. But on a budget, it works pretty damn well!
@@Wanted1069 yes, the front air dams are there to provide additional downforce at the front. They also cause aerodynamic drag. Removing them costs no money, will reduce drag and help you with top end speed. This is a widely known practice with the Limitless among speedrunners. Also, nobody wants to listen to someone who has no videos on their channel whatsoever to back up their apparent knowledge of a topic.
@@adamniven so I have to have a video to know wtf I'm talking about?! Wow!! News to me! Go ahead. Pull the front wings off. Don't start crying when she blows over... Yes, the air dams slow ya down. They also help save your $1000 rc car from flipping over. Also, why I run a GT body. But please, tell me more about what I don't know. I'd love to hear it! Fuckin clown.
