Thankyou so much for this video. I am diagnosed as being pre-diabetic and i will continue with my fasting which i had started a few months ago as i felt the Lord telling me to do it and had started to feel great. However, recently i stopped my 16 hour fast as i had some invitations to some social events and was eating way beyond what i used to. Suddenly, i again started feeling bad and when i checked with the lab i found that i am pre-diabetic. I hope that i am going to be completely normal in few months of intermittent fasting. Thank you for your video as you explained everything so well. I got to understand a lot about diabetes just by watching your other videos. You are a very good teacher. Thank you
Look for Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Eric Berg and others. The Ketogenic diet comes with time-restricted eating, also called intermittent fasting which work as a team.
How long one should do intermittent fasting for diabetes reversal ? Is it okay once if diabetes is in control / reversed we can continue with 12 hour fasting window ?
Can diabetics fast? I told my uncle and he was saying he can’t since he’s diabetic. If you have any studies and research on the topic, please share so I can forward him the information
Hmmm I don't think that this works in diabetes than it works on your weight. If you delay your meals and as soon as you eat the first meal you will have a high amount of glucose and big spike of insuline as a result. Whyvis that? Well during fasting your liver/pancreas is transforming fat into glucose/glucagon to feed your brain/body. The moment you eat after fasting you put more glucose into blood and your insuline spikes more up. The high level of glucose is than converted and stored back as fat by the high insuline. So you first you will mess up the metabolism this way and you don't really get rid of insuline resistance. The best way is to reduce the amount of food on each meal. If you do that than the body does not go into starving mode. So this way the liver does not have to put extra glucose into the blood. Also when you eat less and no processed food the insuline doesn't get high fast. So its the amount of the meal and the kind of food that matters not how long you stay without eating.
appreciate your dedication to the quest... but there may be an unclarity of what the definition of fasting is. Relisten from 4:10 ... This is definitely effective. The rest intermittent fasting gives your pancreas is vital.
This is not true whatsoever. You shouldn’t fast for long periods without consulting your doctor especially if you are taking insulin because chances are that you may have to adjust your insulin since fasting will lower your insulin.
