Dream Theory annoys me because it can be applied to anything. Like in Subnautica, you crash, so is everything just a coma? You achieve nothing? So in real life, is life just meaningless? What if we’re all in a simulation? Like it just renders everything so unnecessarily pointless for the most average and meh reason of “Yeah it’s just a dream”, like, so what, completing Dark Souls or whatever hard things is “just a dream”? Who even made this up? The guy who hates achieving things and says they’re all pointless?
Interestingly, Nightmare's jumpscare mirrors Golden Freddy's from FNAF 1. Your points of how all of the Nightmare Animatronics have a Game Over screen (except Nightmare) and how Nightmare looks like a failing illusion make me wonder if Nightmare was actually the only Nightmare Animatronic throughout the nights? He (and Nightmare Fredbear) completely replace all of the other NAs once he shows up. Also, what would you think Nightmare Balloon Boy being canon means in the context of Michael having the nightmares?
I wonder if N-Mangle and N-Marionette are canon.. i assume that Mike has dreams with N-BB after FNaF 2.. so shouldnt he have nightmares about mangle and puppet?
Mike actully works at FNaF 2. Just night 7 tho. He changes his name to Fritz Smith so no one knows it was him. He does this over and over until Fazbear Frights, where he burns the pizzeria to the ground. Mike has hallucinations of BB,Puppet, and mangle. So he must have worked at night 7.
I personally believe that the nightmare expirements were done on Crying Child, but Mike is having the nightmares of his brother's memories, but they're getting mixed up with Mike's memories, (which is why he hears the Fnaf 1 phone call and the game play mimics Fnaf 1) Nightmare/Shadow Freddy is Crying Child's agony attacking Mike
*5:47* An interesting detail that I found in UCN is that Nightmare isn’t transparent, and his jumpscare is just the regular jumpscare. Nightmare in FNaF 4 is definitely using illusion discs. Not even debate.
What if these are Michael's dreams that he's having during FNAF 1? Either when he goes home to sleep after his shift, or (like in the FNAF movie) falling asleep during his night shift?
I agree because the format of the crying child's Room we see in the Fnaf 4 mini games is nothing like the room we play in. Hense, Michael being the one tortured.
@dearsirdearyou4153 it does. You hear a garbled version of the phone call in night 5. In the night section we play as Mike in his room fending off plastic animatronics with sound illusion disks. Why? Cause he kept running of to freddys out of guilt. William didnt want to lose another child so he put fear of animatronics into him. The medical supplies are illusion caused by the guilt. Also, CC's room is diffrent from the room we're in during the nights Night's 1-4 Mike fends off plastic animatronics with disks, nights 5 and so on he's having nightmares during his shifts in 1993
@@Hezpest it’s probably mike in a separate room, perhaps even re-listening to the prerecorded messages to check or research something. It’s a timeline full of opportunities a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.

It would’ve been also cool if the FNAF movie was based more into the game rather than a child friendly side to it? I mean, that’s okay but we don’t really see much of security guard door closing sequences.

@@NightGuardJohnny yeah I noticed that I think you should talk about the fact that a Dog barks occasionally on the FNaF 4 nights,while you might not think much of it,and believe me or not: Mike might not actually have a VPN,because the Dog barkings actually can be because someone or someTHING is breaking into Mike’s home This may be just for aesthetic,but I think it’s Nightmare.
Great video. I like to think Michael is the player character for 1-6 too but i acknowledge that there is evidence otherwise. It makes for a much neater narrative either way, so its a fun headcanon to play with.
I watched the 8 hour FNAF video up to the FNAF 4 segment and while he makes a fair point about the thin reasoning for Dream Theory, I think it still fits perfectly with the context of the first four games. The gameplay being nightmares says enough. However, dream theory is by no means canon once Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator enter the picture
Okay.. what about Plushtrap though? The only one we explicitely know has seen anything akin to Plushtrap was CC with the finger trap toy that one boy had.
Ngl I think it’s kind of obvious it’s Michael, not CC, he has drawn Nightmare Fredbear, room is obviously not CC’s, possibly in the present I don’t think CC didn’t have these nightmares, he possibly has, but it doesn’t make sense since CC is basically confirmed to be afraid by the rumors, that’s why he would be so scared of the animatronics, but it wouldn’t give him nightmares like this, especially not nightly, trauma would
This might sound dumb, but I’m pretty sure most of the fnaf steam games are labeled as “Psychological horror” which could mean something as it’s not trying to be scary, but is. Kinda like how gorilla tag also has that label which could explain Michaels mechanophobia.
I’ve come to the conclusion that fnaf 4 tells 2 stories, the mini games tell the story of CC and his death which happened in 1983 while the in game nights are Michael having nightmares about his past mixed in with memories of the present, I wonder if Fnaf 4 takes place sometime around Fnaf 1?
Well it would work if we didn’t already know Nightmare is shadow Freddy and is the embodiment of Williams wickedness. So him being an illusion disc makes 0 sense
I know I say this like every fifth FNAF video, but I’ll never shut up about it. Back when FNAF4 was new, my sister and I theorized the bonus nights were the big brother’s POV, long before we knew this was Mike or these were Purple Guy’s kids, or future evidence like the Logbook, the disks/nightmare gas, the movie. The most important thing is that the end result is the same after all these years: that he feels guilty for what he did to his brother, and he’s about to realize there really is something to be afraid of at Freddy’s. Although I do feel like fearing animatronics goes without saying in this franchise… 😅
5:16 The third book literally has a black and white Funtime Freddy in the cover 5:40 no they aren’t, Freddy is the main animatronic and twisted Freddy has the same body as nightmare

CC played fnaf 4 in his coma, possessed Fredbear and gave micheal nightmares, than micheal told William about the nightmares and when William opened circus baby pizza world he started making experiments based on the nightmares
