In this video we take a deeper look at the vision and Fog of War mechanics. Some things we go over include Vision Blockers, Phantom Spots, and Exposing. These are some of the interesting aspects of these mechanics that I wanted to learn more about and share with you all :)

funny thing about the shared vision that you didnt show us is Grimstroke Mars interaction. Example: Mars and grim are Radiant, Sniper is Dire. When Mars uses arena on Sniper, DIre no longer sees Sniper inside the arena, thats his Facet. But if Grim use the phantom bug on Sniper, All Dire start to see inside the arena because they see the phantom bug.

7:30 Prophet does some weird shit when she exposes with her life drain. Enemies will become exposed, but stand where you last saw them in fog. The life drain still accurately tracks, but you don't get the updated position.

I love the Shared Vision mechanics, especially with the new facets like: Mar's ult facet, It's literally a funny thing to see when your team just vanishes and getting banged hard behind a wall. or Nightstalker's facet which vanishes your team and your vision of everyone which is scary, but cool

Did not know that phantom ebrase gives shared vission. All the other things I knew, I also think knowing what abilities are visable in fog of war like rain of destiny is much more useful than knowing where the phantom spots in roshes pits are. Yea dont rain of destiny while roshing fellow oracle enjoyers (unless ofcourse you know they know youre roshing, but you know you can take it before they can contest).

the enemy once used phantom vision to juke 3 heroes on our team. we had to clue where he even went and we thought he tped base in a milisecond

Q&A: Did you do any testing/research into sounds vs fog? There are strange things happening with being able to hear some abilities in fog. It gets even stranges since the distance to your edge of fog seems to matter. You can create an enemy tiny bot and use avalance deep in fog and it wont be heard. Move the same avalance close to the edge of fog and now it can be heard.

Weird, I thought thunderstruck victim is meant to get targeted by other spell because target was getting exposed from lightning's flash. I guess the frog think it would be too broken having clear vision for several second

You can right click on some creeps through fog of war and itll make an animation like youre clicking a unit or something but i dont think it registers an auto attack

Razors link also silhouettes the target of they arr invis. He wont hit them but u can follow them, always carry dust.

what about not having vision like inside of Mars arena or Nigth Stalker void and Riki's smokescreen? sometimes it shares vision and sometimes not. Can you fill this ones too thank you
