Just came across this, I thought I had been making good videos and decent growth. But now I’m determined to take my time and really just step up my game. Thank you so much foolish!
This was an awesome video, man. Truly. I really appreciate your transparency and how in-depth you are. I’m hoping you don’t stop these IRL podcast style videos 🙌🏻
Hey Bailey, I think you should consider putting Wilbur Wood on your list of videos. Out of the ten best post-integration pitcher seasons by bWAR, he is the only pitcher who has two of them, with 11.8 and 10.7 bWAR seasons. Despite this, he is a relative unknown and only has 50 career WAR. He’s also a lefty knuckleballer, which is pretty fucking awesome. Think he’d fit your video style well
I have no interest in becoming a youtuber, and I can't remember the last time I watched a baseball game. And yet, here I am subbed to both channels, watching every Foolish video on the day of release. Love 'em all, keep up the great work. And here's hoping someone in the Indians office is subbed as well so we can see the Cleveland Spiders next season.
Can you do a deep dive into this Bailey guys stats. He was on the braves in the early 2000s I think. He later mysteriously vanished from the league. Would love a baseball bits about him
that blue chair in the background is the blue chair that every kid had in elementary school from like 2nd - 6th grade... I didn't even remember it until I saw it and I'm shaken by how the memories just flooded in...
I don't think you have to worry about competitors. Your channel is unique, if someone started a new channel because of you, it wouldn't take away fans of your work. What we like about Foolish baseball is you, not just the format. Someone could copy your format but they wouldn't be able to copy you. Keep it up Bailey!
These three videos are singlehandedly the blueprint for how I will go about content creation, especially here on YT. Thank you so much for you dedication and hard work.
This is one of the coolest videos I have seen on yt in a while . Really liked seeing the behind the scenes aspect of your videos. Keep up the good work.
As someone who has dabbled in making and editing creative videos, I’m really impressed by the consistency with which you are able to make quality content. Making well thought out videos with interesting topics, and fitting music/graphics can be a much longer process than people realize. The living you are able to make from your content is very much earned and I hope you continue to grow and succeed.
You the man, thank you! Just started looking into copyright rules for myself. I've watched your channel for a couple years now. So your advice on the subject is a 100x more legit than reading stuff on reddit or whatever. Thanks again
I think more than anything, this video has outlined how much work you put into your videos and how creative you've been in finding and creating your path around copyrights to make content that reaches beyond just those who enjoy baseball.
At 5:30, just a quick Photoshop shortcut: hold Option-Shift (Mac) or Alt-Shift (Windows) when transforming the image and it will do it from the center. Saves you a click and drag, plus it ensures your image stays centered where you want it.
I wish I had seen this series a month ago but like you said the algorithm works in mysterious ways. I created a Rust video in the foolish style back a few months ago using william kage music because your videos had inspired me
Thanks for these awesome vids Bailey! Foolish Baseball is by far the best channel on youtube and its great to see a behind the scenes of how it works. Keep up this amazing content!
i find it hilarious to make the bots confused. At work they have a secret channel were they upload unlisted, wait a day and if it doesn't get claimed then they upload. They had a schedule of 1 per week and usually they finished earlier so they could wait. They never got claimed or striked from what I remember.
you're a real one for showing how you bypass the copyright bots haha. that shit is subtle! edit: but at the same time, it's dumb that the MLB doesn't have some sort of fair use for people promoting their league. I think the NBA has something like that, but I could be wrong.
Maybe if you're uploading highlights and comps, but not for what I do. My videos almost never get claimed once they get past the bots, and it's not like I'm flying under the radar.
@@FoolishBailey If you stay within fair use you'll be fine obviously. They've loosed up their restrictions a lot, but they used to have a team dedicated to claiming videos the bots missed on youtube
Hey Aaron, I don't. If you wanted to send a flat fee amount, you could pledge that amount on Patreon, wait for it to charge on March 1, then cancel so it doesn't repeat monthly.
Reslly great to see a behind the scenes look, and understand the amount of work and prep and organization that goes into a video. Also, I think the music of Maxo and William Kage is actually way better than the copyrighted stuff that came before!
Hi Bailey, do you know where/how people get video clips of games that are in progress? And can you recommend a good screen grab recorder? Many thanks! Your channel is awesome!
Hey Foolish, would you ever consider doing a video/ looking into the decline in popularity of baseball possibly being linked to the huge increase in home runs and strikeouts? Personally I’d rather watch a game with a more ground-balls, line-drives, base runners, etc. than tons of home runs and strikeouts. Also do you think a hard salary cap would be good or bad for baseball? it seems to work for football and I think if it was in baseball it would make the league much more interesting
