The 90s and the early 2000s were the golden age of football. So many genuine world class player's. Now there are only a handful and if a young player has one good year he is worth 150 million.
@@Footballfield_shortsBro Bellingham is like the only player out of these 80m€+ young players who is worth the price tag:D Three examples who aren't are Højlund, Caicedo and Anthony.
Getting to see Juve and Italian teams back then was like heaven to me. Now italian clubs are not doing well and i am very sad. I wish they could bounce back.
Serie A is the league that stayed in time. Their drop in quality and competitiveness was abysmal. It is slowly happening to the Spanish league. Given the good level presented by the PREMIER
4 spanish teams are still in the champions league, only 2 english teams left, bellingham best young player in the world is playing in spain not england, without man city's oil money PL would be on level of serie a@@fersoto3110
The thing is, he mixed the referee thing up! Now and past should be switched! Just remember "Pierluigi Collina". Nobody stood against him in the past. Nowadays, refs seem more bullied.
@@DjangoUnSkilled Collina was the God of referees but the rest might not be any scary or such back then. And as a Milan fan seeing Gattuso and Maldini again just remains me of the best times
@@ScarredCore1 It's Pique. He said once a time his phone was ringing and he never dared to open it while Keane was around. Keane was that scary to him. I think when he's 17 or something.
It's very subjective. For me football started dying after 2015, and had peak talent in the two decades 1995-2015. I see footballers today and I wonder how did we enter the footballing dark ages. There are barely any talents nowadays that could have survived in the period I mentioned except maybe Mbappe, and Haaland (who would be considered a glorified albeit more effective Inzaghi imo).
@@tratbagd4500 Its because in the golden time both the individual talent and the effectiveness of the team peaked. Nowadays everything gets subordinated under the teams performance and thus the coaches phylosophy. The death of the classical 10 is one of the biggest signs. A good example is my favourite club Stuttgart. With mostly the same lineup we played against relegation last year. But then we got a really competent coach and now we re about to leave both Leipzig and Dortmund behind us in the race for the CL positions. Both teams have much better players on paper. Mediocre players can compete with much better ones cause the biggest factor is the coach today. The best players have far less freedom than they had in the past and so youth players get trained to obey the coaches phylosophies over everthing, leading to much more streamlined players. You dont see extremely unique players like Ronaldinho, Robben or Gattuso for example anymore. Same with whole teams. Mid 00s Milan, Brazil 2002, Sir Alex ManU or the Chelsea with 11 captains, etc. We look at such lineups in marvel cause we wont see anything thats somewhat close today.
I agree with this video. Football used to be simple where goalkeepers save shots, defenders defend, midfielders pass and strikers scores. Now we want de gea to be Christian eriksen and he’s unemployed now
Back then there were so many superstars. Now there are only a handful of them. Back then football players had skills, now they can only run long distances. The enjoyment has gone out now.
Actually, the players who are playing now has more skilled. Because the past days, the theories of football were not well established. The OG players understand “football“ by their instincts, so most of players were playing with so much mistakes. Nowadays, most of players are playing correctly so it is hard to make differences among the players.
@@MrCucaisme maybe not CR7 but prime Messi was unplayable...he would've destroyed the players from early 90s and 2000s just the same....but he wouldn't have won as much of course cuz Barcelona wasn't so good back then...and cuz there was another monster called R9....sadly his legend couldn't be due to injuries
@@sumomaster5585bro seriously said maybe not CR7, bro I am a messi fan, and like rono in his prime was untouchable, he made those top level players do splits in the pl in real life. It's hilarious you even said that

I wish football could be back old time. No var, no blind referees, no ultra, no pay too much money for a player,... just ball and players and enjoying the game

Back when Serie A was still the greatest football league in the world. After the Calciopoli, it was a duopoly between Premier League and La Liga. Also, the referee slapping everyone is the hillarious moment in this video 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Everything has changed now in football, what were those golden days man. Those retro jersey worth more than today's home and away kits. Serie A, Premier League, Laliga Known for Legends. Money changes everything in football, ruined club's legacy and players value. seeing struggling United, Ac milan, and many more big clubs today it feels so bad.
then you would see tight games every week like 3-2 or 4-3 now we rarely get a 3-2, you can even see this in the uefa champions league finals we went from 3-3 comeback to 1-0 3 years in a row.
@@dizzy.m Because in the previous finals, it was a boring one. 2006 had the infamous Zidane's headbutt, while 2010 and 2014 had only 1 goal in extra time.
@@ezraezra2928 yeah know in the premier league you get excited from chelsea 4-4 man city when we used to get leicester 9-0 southampton man united 5-5 west brom norwich 4-4 middlesborough wolves 4-3 leicester comeback
It will be hurt to see more about football players flopping despite having an expensive price tag due to their relationship with their managers, especially playing with Man United. Anyways, that Tiki-Taco and Tiki-Tiki got me rolling on the floor as an Arsenal fan. 🤣💀
