That was very thoughtful and generous of you to share a cold and cough remedy with your Trifate Friends, Tyler and Isaac. You guys make the most honest and unfiltered videos and say what you all have in your hearts. And that’s the very reason why I follow: Filipino Boo and Trifate vlogs. More power to all three of you and hopefully soon to the four of you. That includes your girlfriend of course as she has become a part of your vlogs!
if you want healthy tinola jus boiled ginger, lemon grass, onion, tomatoes, cover and let it to boil when it boil add chicken, cover and let it to boil until the chicken cooked then add salt, bit black pepper then sayote, if you want to have nice smell and nice taste you can add chilli leaves boiled it for 1 minutes that's it
during the hot and humid season, people can get ill from oversweating. especially when you are overheated from outside and then going straight inside a building that is usually air-conditioned. that is usually the case for me anyways.
God bless you for being thoughfull, your like a big bro to Trifate, youre not just friends but family. This video will inspires more viewers , you lead by example.
Tinola with more ginger is really good! Kudos to your great cooking skills and we appreciate your kindness. It's a delight to see you share this dish to Isaac, it's just unfortunate thatt Tyler wasn't able to try your tinola, anyways hopefully you boys had already recovered from colds. Wow you already saw Ducky! That's epic haha
Your a generous Korean friend😊And a Pinoy by heart congrats for cooking perfect tinola even I didn't taste it it looks delicious and is good for cold especially when rainy season👍btw sayote is a vegetable.
Be careful of the salt/chicken cube/fish sauce, only add if needed and adjust to taste. The soup must not be salty so you can drink more. Papaya is better just remember to remove the white part where the seeds grow its bitter. Adding chicken liver will also bring deeper taste. You can add lemongrass if you want hint of citrus lemon. It compliments well with ginger taste. Add chili leaves and a whole green chili. Just be careful not to leave the chili or break in the soup for long unless you like hot spicy soup.
I just goft back from the Philippines for vacation and I'm still sick. I was craving for fish sinigang and had it delivered. Before bed I took some tylenol and it helped a lot. Most of my friends brought me some food and medicine. Take of yourself always.
That's so kind of you. I hope all will get better soon. I usually have a full bowl of tinola and add scoops of rice as needed. Like the other way around as how people usually eat it. I also want adding some fish sauce (patis).
You should drink fresh calamansi juice mix with water and sweeten it with honey or stevia Mr.Filipino Boo,it's effective for cough and colds👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I think the biscuit bois got over fatigued during their last filming in Manila. They walked all the way from Manila to MOA. Its probably freaking hot during that day.
Cough ,cold and flu usually occur to people in this kind of weather now in Philippines, when the weather is hot, then it will rain suddenly, that's the time cough or colds are form,so,be sure to take lots of Vitamin C,drink lots of water, and eat citrus fruits like oranges, ponkans, calamansi or lemon, You extract the juice of the lemon or calamansi, mix with water, and drink, and after a few hours, you will feel better👍👍
Seungha to recover your colds and cough you perform Steam you put water in the caserol then when it boil you cover your head facing to the hot water drop some salt enhale and exhale for 5minutes it will loosen your clogged nose and your plegm will eventually loosen too and take every now then warm soup like the one you cooked it's very healthy and stop going outsi
The way you cooked tinola is just right, in my recipe I’m adding fresh mushrooms for added flavor and vitamins . Now your getting some of Filipino traits, sharing food with neighbors. Congratulations and hope you get well soon. I’m also following Trifate.
Yes, you are doing the right thing in cooking the chicken tinola seungha. It is first sauteed with garlic/onion and ginger, to remove the smell of chicken. Chicken tinola is one of the comfort foods of Filipinos, and it's delicious to eat when the weather is cold or it's raining. It can also be topped with sotanghon to make chicken with sotanghon, it just needs a little more water, because sotanghon absorbs the water. I also hope that you have recovered from your cold. Fighting..
You did Tinola right although I don't know if you added the chicken skin. Me, personally, I take out all the chicken skin and fat. That is where the foul taste and odor of the chicken comes from. When you take it out and cook Tinola without it, it makes a ton of difference and very clean tasting too.
Yay, Seungha, chicken tinola is so good for colds. Plenty of ginger (I put lemon grass, too) if I don't sauté it in garlic and ginger. I put green papaya, pepper leaves, (if I don't use malunggay--moringa) malunggay. Delicious! Chayote squash is great if there is no green papaya. Great job, Seungha! You are so kind cooking for your friends. Take care guys! (I drunk green tea with lemon juice (put some 😂slice of lemon in it, too and took some zinc lozenges for a sudden cold last night. Gone in the morning!)👌
Thanks man and hope you guys have fully recovered. We add a handful or more of chilli leaves in our tinola. It gives the tinola a more beautiful and delicious taste.
I know you're not into papayas but you can add one that is about to ripen. It gives a bit of a sweeter taste, then put green chilis! You're sweet, Boo. Trifate boys are lucky to have you as kapitbahay. Good job!
Good job for sharing a healthy meal with a friend! You're a good friend. 🥰 For a healthier preparation if the Tinola, you can use Malunggay leaves (Moringa). The cube you added was to make the soup taste even better. The flavours of the Knorr Cubes are chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp.
This is very sweet of you. Tinola and sinigang (very nutritious and simple to make) are my go-to dishes when I'm sick. I'm glad your friends have you to take care of them. Based on my brothers and male friends, they are stubborn when it comes to asking for help or care. But because you have the initiative, your friends are taken care of. ☺
A very authentic tinola is to boil water not fried . After boiling water you will put the ginger onions lemon grass, then the cut up chickens when chicken cooked put the vegetables and yes you can add the packet or cubes of chicken or filipino ingredients for spicies. Take out the black or dark floating in the soup those are from chicken blood.
I got colds 3 weeks ago... I still have a little cough... Haven't had colds since the pandemic began till now... Probably because I don't wear mask in public often nowadays. 😅😳 Another comfort food for me when sick is Arrozcaldo! Almost similar with Tinola but less, sayote/papaya and mallungay/chili leaves. Sauté garlic, onions and lots of ginger then chicken... Brown the skin, add water, bouillon and let it boil. Then Add sticky rice "Malagkit" into the mix. Let it simmer to cook the rice until porridge consistency. Regular Rice can also be used but you need to boil it longer... But there are types of rice that doesn't "porridge" well in time. Get the starchy types for best results. When all is done... You can add fried garlic chips, chilli oil and hard boiled egg in your arrozcaldo! Adding Safflower "Kasuba" on your arrozcaldo is optional... Or Saffron if you can afford it. 🤣😅😳
*_super hot outside, then you will go inside with super cold aircon temperature, thats why a lot of us got cough and colds. even the thunderstorm today is unpredictable. get well soon tyler, isaac and seungha._*
Papaya is better with native chicken or backyard raised chicken. You can substitute patola and upo if no sayote. And for moringa substitute is chili leaves or you can put both its healthy too.
you have to take lots of juices....Vitamin C....try hot Calamansi juice with ginger.....HOT...bnoil the ginger then cool it down then then put 2 calamansi....it will help...
Thank You for being generous and thoughtful towards Your co blogger How sweet of You to cook tinola for him while he have cold Tinola is one of authenthic and Healhty food in philipines especially if You use a native chicken the taste is very different than the one on the supermarket chicken
thats a good thing. if you're living alone, you get to try cooking recipes. its cheaper than buying outside and you get to learn cooking skills. good job!!
you cooked good, (and right better cook, get frsh ingredients than eat outside expensive) Tinola is very good, the veggies and the gingers, all in- good soup best food when in colds or flu 👍✅
Vitamin C with Zinc guys. Cough and cold is seasonal here especially when sudden pour of rain. Most Filipinos unlike me are unaware of the need for 500 mg of Vit. C and Zinc in everyday supplement for prevention of cough and cold. Sometimes I take 1000mg. If you guys stay long enough to experience the rainy season which is almost near, the rain will be more frequent and longer in duration. It will be extreme. The hot weather will be as the opposite intense(storms) as the rainy season. The roofs over your heads will be your best friends and umbrellas, raincoats and flood boots. ⛈🌀☔😮
Sayote is the ideal ingredient for Tinola, papaya is for me an alternative if sayote is unavailable.Sayote is a vegetable. Main ingredient of Tinola is the Chicken and Malunggay leaves.Very healthy meal.
When simmering the chicken before putting the vegetables. I will clear the soup first of chicken oil coming up the surface of the soup to make it healthier and less fatty and soup much clearer and not oily. Tinola is so healthy my go to food when I have a cold or just want to clean digestive system, so good choice. 👍 Don't drink coke, drink hot calamansi juice instead. Also, gargle warm water with salt. Isaac is so awkward.
Ginger root drink isnt common but we have salabat - just boil ginger then drink it, usually with sugar. There’s also powdered ones in grocery and prepared like black coffee
You're right Tinola is Food Medicine ... Specially if you put lots of ginger , lots of garlic and onions .. plus all the nutritious vegetables you have , you can put in your Tinola
Aww you’re so nice!!! I’m so jealous, Isaac gets to taste your tinola. I can tell it’s good by how much you put garlic and onions on that. I love the greens.
