My first soulsborne was DS2 and I remember constantly looking around corners and checking my blind spots. First journey was so slow but unforgettable and electric as I had to force myself to stay alert cause nowhere seemed safe! Made me fall in love with the series
On my first playthrough of thr souls games they scared me more than most horror games I had played. Going through the Tomb of the giants i had a death grip on the block button lol. And in dark souls 3 the hanging curse beasts still disturb me even now. When I first was ambushed by them I couldn't even legitimately fight them for the fear. Especially the one in the anor Londo cathedral that ambushes you before you can open the door. There is just something profoundly terrifying about something hanging from the ceiling out of view waiting to drop down onto you. One of my most vivid memories of playing those games for the first time.
The only limit in healing in Demon Souls is really the limit in how much you can carry, It’s not hard to have 150 grasses and be spam healing, especially in the remake with the option to send stuff directly to stockpile Thomas, meaning you have little reason not to simply load on heals…. I guess it is kinda horiifying that Micolash will try to cheese you with A Call Beyond. 😂😂😂
Good point, I guess early on it's tricky when trying to balance it until you just investp a load of souls into grass at a certain point kinda like lifegems in ds2 Also yeah Micolash and the horrors of spammage ahaha
