How Front Axle are Repair In Local Workshop || Amazing Skills of Rebuilding Bent Truck Front Axle #Frontaxlebend #Howtorepairaxle #Rebuildingbentfrontaxle
#4 tool in Pakistan= Dirty surface to work on. #5 tool in Pakistan= Dirty rag used to wipe everything from there hands, parts and there arses used to clean parts😳
I have noticed that in all of these videos people seem to be beating on things all the time. I have heard it said, "If it doesn't work, get a bigger hammer." The philosophy of their lives!
You're not a real man if you can't hammer stuff, in Pakistan. Cracked piston? Just start out with hammering it. Not help fixing it? Find a sledge and hammer it even harder and with even larger pride and enthusiasm. It will be fixed n the end, just a matter of hammer it enough
I always think the same, some good work with given tools and materials but throw on work on floor, must have card etc to work on, or metal from old car bonnet etc
Just because the king pin is tight in the axle housing does not mean it is tight in the bushings. I am from Canada and have done many axle rebuilds on the front of school buses. no play but moves free in the bushings but always tight in the center section of the axle housing. Should know what your talking about before you are so quick to criticize others. what are your skills. Bet you could not do this job. too much brute strength needed. I personally think they did an amazing job considering what they had to work with.
I Guess they like to work Hard not Smart LMAOL.... However sometimes setting up to press something in takes more time and effort than Using the good old Hammer. To each their own and their are thousands of ways to skin a cat. Id probably hammer those Kingpins in as well......Like I have many many times before. It doesn't matter what king pin on whatever vehicle......King Pins are and can be a Bitch to replace. Ive always left the axle in the truck when I have done them.
Whilst their pissing and shitting in the streets, pouring all kinds of fluids on the ground and then going next door to eat and drink the contaminated water! Yep sounds like Pakistan, not real bright over there my friend!
They have a big powerful press and they use it to hold the work while hammering in those kingpins almost certainly mushrooming them in the process, should be pressing them in. Also don't think the lubrication in the kingpin bearing will like being cooked in the fire when they tried to anneal/soften the axle to straighten it, should have done that before assembly.
If you look closely, you will see the axle they « cook » is painted red. The one they replaced the bearings of isn’t painted at all. They are clearly two different axles!
Perhaps in a few months they will get the job of replacing the kingpin again??? Why didn’t they use that press , to press the New/ used kingpin into the joint? Did l miss the part where they grease the pin before assembly??
Those kingpins shouldn't be that tight in the axle or the bushings, this job will not last and good luck to the next mechanic who has to take it apart.
Охренеть! Они просто в грязи все собирают, и молотком все забивают!!!мнется все и теряет геометрию. Пресса нет, не могут даже просто запрессовать болтом и гайкой с шайбами как минимум. Низкокачественный ремонт просто
I was going to suggest these repairmen invest in a big vise and mechanical press at the beginning of the video, and low and behold they had a huge ass press 2 X the size of mine and only a foot away from where they were working on-site and were using it for a vice. I would suggest they need to start watching youtube instead of making youtube videos for a while!
I also notices that from this video and others from this guy. People working on a bench grinder set on the ground! They like to work squatting on the ground!
@@anooseholay what's hard to understand that's the way they work. They are obviously comfortable with the way they work the same as you are standing a workbench.
@@travelling_stephen yes and people were obviously comfortable in horse drawn carriages versus walking but once automobiles were introduced and gained popularity, carriages weren’t as comfortable any longer. Squatting on the ground while working with modern tools is like doing brain surgery by candlelight.
Use a hammer instead of a hydraulic press Use a hydraulic press instead of a vice. Hammer the hell out of a precision lathe. Add a handful of grit in the bearings....and Bobs your uncle...
1:37 i dont speak this language but i am 100% sure its something like 'YEAH! do that big one again! no no no! the big one tough guy! YEAH THE BIG ONE!!!! HAAHAHAA"
Nothing like working in the dirt with machined parts. Oh, and the sandals,… nice touch. I’m sure OSHA would approve of the grinding without a pair of goggles. Man! Get yourselves situated a little better, looks like you’re going to be doing that shit for a while,.. eh? What is it about all these “shops” in India. Have some f’ng pride in your workplace. I know,… I know, they don’t have any money - got a broom don’t ya. Sheesh! Clean up the place. Pour some concrete, make a work table!
Ya these guys would not have jobs if OSHA was in charge of safety in that country. Their hearing has to be wrecked from the banging, someone definitely has lost an eye or more due to metal on metal hammering. And don’t get me started on the hair sticking out of their sandals. Bravo though they definitely making it happen
Can bash on all they did wrong but that’s way to easy! Imagine what these guys could do with the proper knowledge and tools. That would probably knock our socks clean off!
I love the dust free workplace!! Ideal to maintain greasy moving parts!! Remind me to give that workshop a miss if l need any repairs and am stranded in their location!
NO safety glasses but they sure get out of the way when the press is pushing. hard to steer on that type of roads just might help going around corners cause its going to stay were u turn the wheel
A young man sees a help wanted sign on a shop and asked what sort of job was it. The owner said “Hammerer”. These guys are great and work hard every day to support themselves and their families. Carry on smartly Men!
This is where science is so helpful, using heat and cold to put in bushings makes life so easy, I’ll just go ahead and assume having an apartment freezer on hand is a bit tough in one of these shops, lol. Nice to see them use a real reamer instead of a drill with sandpaper like some
I enjoyed the way the second king pin was driven in, big hammer directly to head of pin, resulting in obvious peening over. Doing what they have to do with what they have, sure, but doing it as dirtily and quickly as possible???? I am still looking for the "Amazing Skills" all the videos tout!!!!!!!
I used to do this procedure on my 63 VW Beetle. It had kingpins and link-pins before they started with ball joints. It had bronze bushings you'd press in and then cut with a reamer to get the right fit. Just sayin' Mike
Not to forget a hammer, a bigger hammer, and a sledge, and a big heavy cousin to operate the hammers and sledges, and a even bigger cousin at hand if big cousin #1 not hammer hard enough (if in Pakistan)
Where are my car keys ???? Usually in an Obvious place. Same goes for the HUGE Hydraulic Press they could use to press the bushes. Nah ?? That would be to Obvious 🙄
I need to send the steering knuckle from my 2010 Challenger over to them. I bet they could get the lower ball joint out - others have failed, with impact tools, presses, and fire. Stupid things are still in the steering knuckles.
A good salesman could make a killing selling safety toe boots in this country. You could throw in a pair of safety glasses as a thank you for buying your product. Maybe tell your brother in law who sells hand cleaner who to contact when he arrives in country, ( of course for a little kick back ).
i do this for a living....and this was the most brutal kingpin bearing swap ive ever seen....that thing is going to be impossible to steer....holy shit...lololol
If it doesn't fit, make it fit ... if it still doesn't fit ... FORCE IT .... the driver of the truck will need arms of steel to turn the wheel of his truck ... such a solid fit
Everything done with a hammer I don’t know if they have the ability to cool down those bushings but had they cooled the bushings down before they inserted them into the steering knuckles they might’ve slept in a lot easier.
As an American auto mechanic I spend my time waiting on parts and watching RU-vid videos of my dude beating a kingpin with a sledgehammer. The glorious life of a technician
They are sadly clueless that their hearing will be reduced step by step faster than normal. If just someone told them to put some soft paper in their ears or whatever, it would help a lot. But it's not called a 'developing country' for no reason...It's a process.
@@Rimrock300 true, unfortunately if you or I presented them the tools to protect themselves they wouldn’t even use it. I see Indians here in America being unsafe as well. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks
Dirt floors, no hydraulic press, brass punch proper hammer, socket wrenches, parts washer, or clean shop towels or rags, I never had a vehicle serviced at a place that comes close to that. They could have used the press for the pins instead of hammering.
guys ive watched your videos and have worked in nearly every shithole in connecticut and ive had to use the same technique to weld so ya got my vote just please loose the pajamas and wear steal toe sandles.
Boa tarde. Eu assisto sempre os vídeos de vcs. Huma coisa me chama atenção. Oh modelo de roupas q vcs usam são todos iguais só muda ah cor. Vcs não podem usar outros modelos de roupas. Bermudas por exemplo?
