You really get the to see the worst side of some people being an influencer. Even though you have grown a thicker skin and understand it can come with the territory, it's still wrong that this happens to you and other influencers. You don't deserve the creepy and disrespectful comments. I am glad you were able to sort of step outside of your self and instead of instantly blocking those messages from that one guy, you kind of used it as a way to study what is going on, how it effects you mentally and how to over come it. Some people are giant losers that would never say this stuff face to face, but the internet gives them too much confidence. Practicing detachment is such a great tool to use. It's human nature to receive 100 positive comments and 1 negative comment and end up fixating on that 1 negative comment or letting it effect you way more than the multiple positive ones. Just because it comes with the territory of being an influencer doesn't mean it's right for people to behaving like this. Some people forget that content creators are still human beings. Some influencers/youtubers etc. have a 5-10 year long career before they realize the way they were pumping our content and what it was doing to them, wasn't sustainable. You already learned this within your first year of being an "internet personality" so I think that just shows how smart you are that you were able to start to adapt to this and evolve your mentality earlier. From my perspective, as someone who barely posts on IG, who uses it mainly to look at memes and only has like 150 followers, I would think that wanting to be an online influencer would probably be a bad idea for 99.99% of the population. Just the time commitment, the astronomically low chance to go viral and what it can do to your mental health, I would say it's not worth it. However, you are actually one of the few people that have the skill ,content ,uniqueness, adaptability etc. to be successful, so I hope you continue doing what you're doing, (in a sustainable way of course) and continuing to achieve even more success! This is why I like platforms like Patreon, the quantity of comments are drastically reduced but it's almost completely positive and I would think you have more control. I feel like it's a win-win for you and your fans! Also, I think it's perfectly normal and/or common for someone to be at a point in life in which they finish school and just start working and slowly have their circle of friends decrease. I hope you don't feel like you missed out too much working hard to be an influencer and not going out as much. I think that happens a lot to people. Even extroverts would experience this! P.S. The editing on the video was still on point like usual. What you were discussing in this video was such a somber topic but the perfectly placed pics/gifs was making me laugh.

Completely agree with you on that. No one deserves disrespectful comments! Thank you for noticing. It was incredibly hard reading through his disturbing messages and figuring out who he was, but I feel more at ease knowing that I now have "evidence" in case anything were to happen in real life! Exactly. Everyone is so comfortable saying comments that are uncalled for just because they're behind a screen. Very sad. It really is! It has helped me a lot and it's one of the main reasons why I'm still able to make content. A lot of people will say disgusting things and think "It's fine. They're an influencer, they signed up for this!" but at the end of the day, like you said, we are still human. Yes, I've heard this too! Apparently on average it takes 7 years for an influencer to quit because of the reasons you've mentioned. I think because my growth happened so fast, it kind of forced me to adapt and accept the fact that if I want to keep doing this full time, I will need to be more realistic with what/how much I can handle moving forward. 100000% agreed that 99.99% of the population shouldn't do this! It's actually terrible for your mental health and not for the weak. Thank you, I really appreciate your kind words and support, and I am planning to keep going because at the end of the day, I actually do still enjoy the process even if there are some cons that come with it! Patreon is great! I don't think I have ever received negative comments on there and I'm grateful that I have a small community who love to see my content! That is very true. It's definitely normal for people to lose a chunk of friends as time passes. I can count on one hand the amount of "true" friends I have and I'm honestly ok with that. I'm so glad you liked the editing, thank you! I actually edited this one myself, so that means a lot :) I'm happy to hear that the gifs were a great touch. I was also laughing as I was inserting them in the video hahah
