HOW GOOD ARE THE JORDAN 4 THUNDER 2023 SNEAKERS?! (Early In Hand On Feet Review) 

The nostalgia and name of the shoe is everything for me. Never had these back in the day but always wanted them

I honestly believe the Thunder 4s chokeslams Lightning 4s through the table

I have the lightnings and definitely prefer those. Will buy these just to sort of complete the original pack of the two. Solid pair, don’t feel a lot of nostalgia, but still cool. Jordan brand finding another way to run my pockets lol

I remember when I got these in middle school. First pair of 4s, meant even more as a Chargers fan. Grew out of them eventually but hoping to scoop a pair this year!

A MUST COP! As a kid, the combo of the Lightnings and Thunders were so fire! I never had either. I was happy I got the Lightnings on SNKRS, so I need to complete the pack!

Same thing for me. Only reason I prefer the 3s more than 4s is comfort. If that midsole and pinky toe area was better it would be the 4s hands down. The break in period is just so long and painful. Once they break in it’s decent

This was a grail for me. Happy I got my pair even though I had to pay extra in StockX. When I was a teen, i’ve always wanted the thunder. I remembered every time I go to the mall. I would see this in a clear display case at the middle of the shoe store. Always tempting, but I asked one time how much they were. They were selling it for $1,000.

Comfort is a great factor when I grade shoes. 4’s rank at the bottom when it comes to comfort. I do want these. I missed out on the shock drop, but I’ll try on the regular release. I can only rock these for 3-4 hours at a time. Jordan brand really needs to upgrade the comfort level of kicks.

I love these so much definitely going to try to double on these. I also hope Jordan Brand does better on Quality Control on these because on the red Thunder 4s they had to send so many back.

I gotta give these a 9.5. Mine came in yesterday from the shock drop. Pictures do not give these joints ANY justice. Very very nice in hand. Thunder over Red Thunder and lightning. I’m glad I got these. Probably try to double up on release day.

3s > 4s. 4s are mostly uncomfortable, 3s are usually decently very comfortable. And better looking and more iconic imo.

Personally the lightnings are my favourite Jordans but these just do it for me. I agree with the comfort, 3’s are the most comfortable and one of my favourites but the 4’s are on a different level. Needing these in my life ngl

@Foamer: don’t go to the dark side! Jordan 3’s are it bro! For me, it’s the 3s, 5s then 4s in that order. The history of the AJ3’s and the comfort make these my number one Jordans. The 5’s are also clean and also very comfortable, for me, relative to the 4s, the 4s are just sexy mang! Keep up the good work fellas!

Thunder is nice, but Lightning is one of a kind if i would have to wear not so comfy retro once in a while then i want it loud and stand out so Lightning for me

Yo you on the money with Jordan 4 comfort always will say that the Pine Green 4 Sb's are the most comfortable by far.

Despite what i thought end of '22 / start of '23 ; 2023 not looking a great year for kicks , based on so far a few months in and what we know the rest of the year. Personally i just don't think its an amazing year for sneakers. And not many must-cops for me in 2023 but these Thunders 4s are definitely one of those few must-cops and one of the few Js i will be going for over the next few months. Similarly , the AJ4s lineup this year is much weaker than last year's imo but for me these Thunder 4s are one of the best 4s of 2023. Won't be an easy cop , but definitely will be trying for these Thunder 4s.

If they had Nike Air on the rear instead of the jumpman, then maybe. Will hold out for the Bred 4s next year maybe. 3s are still the greatest AJs ever made IMO.

If they changed the midsole to cushlon/formula23 or anything other than freaking polyurethane (or at least made it not as stiff) and maybe even tossed in a zoom strobel, it would make these shoes so much more comfortable. I love 4's, but they are really bad bricks. Give it the protro treatment.
